       The Sons of Destiny
By: Kevin Alexander Lunaris Date: May 8, 2015, 7:56 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
High on the peaks of Mt. Hyouzan layed the kingdom of eternal
winter. A place where ice never melted and summer never came.
Its ruler a single man of the Yamato bloodline. He bequithed to
the world two sons, one of blood, and one of tradition. But
brothers all the same. Landon, like many in his bloodline before
him was born with the ability to control ice. But the Yamato ice
was unlike any other. Dead Ice was composed of the souls of
passed clan memebers after they shuffeled from their mortal
coils. To fall victum to this ice would prove death almost
always. For it didnt only freeze the body, but latched onto the
soul. Few outside the family had learned the secret to combating
the ice. Fewer had tried and survived.

Then came the second son. The adopted Lunaris boy. Though he had
no blood ties to the family it was clear that they boys had
destiny on their side. They had become brothers in almost every
aspect, and when they were young they had made the pact in blood
itself. Before they new the nature of Landon's powers, one day
while their father was busy with his work. The boys took a knife
from one of the castles walls. Each cutting a deep gash into
their left hads (Both boys against the odds of many had been
born left handed). They glasped their hands together with a firm
grip exclaiming at the same moment "From hence forward we are
brothers not only by bond, but blood as well." When they pulled
their hands away they watched as ice covered the cuts like a
bandage. It had done this many times before for Landon, but this
was the first time for Kevin. It brought a beaming smile to his
face, because to him it ment he was truley a yamato, even if his
name did not reflect. But the boys did not know what lie ahead.
