       Moonlight on Silver
       By: guest1268 Date: February 11, 2015, 1:53 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The chunks of metal clanged against one another as the warrior
weaved in and out of the crowd. Those who saw the warrior
coming, kindly made way with apprehension on their faces. The
helmet the warrior wore hid any detection of emotion.
Coming to an abrupt halt just outside the arena, the warrior
waits silently. Voices proved to be an unwelcom distraction,
       especially those who whispered.
A little red hair girl bounced out of the crowd and grabbed the
warrior by the arm and shook. With a hidden smile, the warrior
bent down to the girl's level.
"Sir Derik? Will you where my scarf?" the girl asked,
       withdrawing a lavender scarf.
Knights who fancied a woman often wore their scarves as tokens
of love. It was rather sweet of the girl, but instead of
accepting her scarf, the warrior lowered the eye piece on the
helmet and permitted the girl to see the pair of green eyes
underneath. The eyes not of a man, but of a woman.
The girl squeaked in delight with a mixture of a surprise and
the warrior held up a single finger to her lips. Although she
was young, the girl understood and locked her lips and then
threw away an invisible key before hopping away to her mother.
Her body ached as she stood back up and prepared to hear her
name called for the first place prize. It had been an exhausting
week full of matches. How she longed for an hour alone to soak
       in some warm water!
Finally her name, or rather her facade's title, was called and
she stepped forward to claim a piece of gold as hundreds
       screamed her name.
She smirked beneath the helmet as she looked throughout the
crowd. If they only knew their greatest warrior was their
       princess...

He stood amoungst the crowd and listened as they roared in
applause for there new hero. Watching the warrior step to take
his prize Kevin lifted his own hands and applauded. He has been
watching the intierty of the tournament. The warrior was truley
skilled but there had been something ever so slightly off.
Watching the movements he notice something was off. It was
almost as the warrior was wearing armor to big for his true
stature. This only mad Kevin smirk. He liked secrets, they made
things more interesting so he wondered what a warrior of such
       skill would have to hide.
He tried to slip out of the crowd of people, setting himself a
distance from the ring so he could watch the warrior. His hope
was to follow the warrior once the crowd dispersed.

Hera took her leave before the festivities could begin. It was
very unwise to linger longer than needed. The warrior headed
North and soon came to the outskirts of the town where poor
populated the streets. At a particular home, she stopped and
knocked at a door. An elderly, blind woman answered. Before the
woman was able to speak, Hera grabbed her hand and placed the
gold in the woman's palm. Without waiting for a response, the
warrior left the confused woman at her doorstep and quickly left
       her in peace.
She then wandered down an alley in order to strip off the armor
and put on a guise before heading back to the castle.
Not that she wanted to go back, but it would be suspicious if
she didn't return soon. Even though she was royalty, the penalty
of a woman fighting was death.
With that happy note, she began to shed the armor, starting with
the helmet. When the armor was off, she hid it in an abandoned
home through the back door that conveniently faced the alley.

He kept a dafe distance behind her as they weaved through the
crowd. He was sure to stay just behind each turn they made as to
not be noticed. His brow rose as he watched the warrior walk
amoungst the poor. It was odd that a combatant with such bility
would sebmerge themselves amoungst the poor. So he drew his
hood, the cloak he had being of dull brown burlap so he could
blend in well in almost any place. Then something even more
astounding took place and Kevin whispered to himself.
"Seems Ive found a kind heart amoungst the selfish breed."
The bag of gold coins was left in the hand of a blind women.
Kevin smiled under his hood and followed the warrior swiftly as
he made his way off into the ally. He was very curiouse to see
whom was shrouded in the maticulouse mantle of metal. His eyes
widened of only just a moment as he watch the armor be peeled
away. It was a women, He observed her closely as he silently
eneterd the ally. He left his hood up to shrowed his face and
waiting till all the armor was gone to speak.
"For a women to fight with such skill, then hand the gold away.
Im sure you must be nobility of some kind."

She nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of his voice. Her
expression was not a kind one when her gaze finally fell on the
owner of the voice. Green eyes held his gaze and black locks of
hair cascade down her shoulders as she tilted her head very
       slightly to the left.
Hera was very upset with herself for not realizing that she was
being followed. Her eyes drifted once down his body before she
made the assumption that she could take him and hopefully kill
him before he made her secret known to her father. But, alas,
not even in this time of desperation could she spill blood.
The woman raised her brow. "What do you want? Gold? Perhaps, a
woman? I'm sorry if I disapoint you by saying that I do not
negotiate with anyone, especially a man who would think to stalk
another into a dark alley way at twilight."
Her voice was deep and sensual and it held the accent of her
       homeland.

He watched as she turned out of suprise. A small smirk lifted
his lips as she stared at him with eyes that peirced like
daggers. His eyes traced her hair and he though to himself that
princesses were amungst his favorite. He had met many that
seemed to want to break the cycle of greed there liniage laid
out before them. He removed his cloak to allow her to see his
body. Adorned in black leather that hugged the skin tightly. A
short sword strapped to his mid back. His hair was all white,
something odd dor mant to see. His eyes had a faint red tint
about them. Like looking at fire. He allowed his eyes to wander
       and observe her.
"To be fair mi-lady all men wish for treasure, and most men wish
for the company of a beautiful women. But I am not here to bribe
you. MY curiousity got the best of me when I notice whomever was
wearing that armor must be a little to small for its size. To
say i expected a women would be false. I thought it some daft
apprentice to young to enter the tournament. But fear not you
       secret is safe with me."

Out of her peripheral vision, she saw his body as he abandoned
the cloak that had concealed it just moments ago. The only
response he received from the act, was the tightening of her jaw
muscels. Before he had showed her, Hera would have thought that
his eyes and hair would be a different color than what they
were, but that assumption mattered little.
Some women may have found him 'attractive', if they were into a
masculine figure adorned with black attire that defined his
muscles and his intimidating stature that would suggest the
blood of a god. But, she was deprived of the chance to admire a
man by his handsome features alone. Hera was a woman of depth
       who searched beneath the skin.
"I do not know you and I hardly can trust a stranger," she
       replied.
What choice did she really have though? Before she could think
of something clever, the church bells echoed across the kingdom,
signifying the start of the holiday's festivities. Her frown
       deepened.
"I have duties to attend to. Perhaps, I'll see you tonight at
       the feast?" she asked.
The annual feast would take place at the town's square just
outside the castle's gates. If he did show up, she could speak
to him without having to be cautious of anyone stumbling upon
       them unlike here.
The woman went to leave and would return to the castle unless
       stalled by him.

He watched as her jaw tightened and he leaned against the wall.
The action of taking of his cloak was not to impress her it was
simply to let her see whom he was. He felt it wrong to keep his
identity a secret when he had discovered hers after she had been
hiding it. The leather wasent to impress any lady, he was a
warrior of sorts who liked to use speed and mobility, this
suited that more than adorning heavy armor. He lifted his brow
as she said she did not trust him and he only shook his head
       with a small smirk.
"I wasnet expecting you too, not right away. But seeing as you
wont kill me it doesnt look like there is much choice in the
       matter."
His head crested as the church bells chimed. His eyes flicked
back to her as she asked if he would be attending the feast.
Without waiting for his answer she turned to make her way to her
dutys. He would not protest and simple responded as she walked
       away.
"Ill make it a point to attend now, adew till we speak again
       fair maiden."
The last part was mostly for himself. He could tell by her
deminour that she wasent one to be swayed by a silver tongue.
Knowing it may bring her a little announce to hear him say that
he smirked and adorned his cloak once more. He made his way out
the opposite end of the ally. Setting forth into the town to
find a pub where he may have a drink untill the feast began,.

The woman had heard his last response as she walked away, but
she ignored it. It did not take long for her to reach the
castle. The entire way there Hera had been mulling over the
events that had taken place. She still did not trust the man and
       he had struck a nerve.
Still upset with the situation at hand, she paid little mind to
the servants that catered to her every need and prepared her for
       the feast.
When she was dressed ready, she went down into the dining area
and visited among other royals. By now, the feast had already
begun, but she had to wait until the perfect time to sneak away.
It didn't take long for the majority to get drunk and she took
advantage of their state to dismiss herself without drawing too
       much attention.
Outside, she wandered at an unwavering and purposeful pace,
hidden beneath a long black cloak which concealed her identity
well. Peasants were happily dancing and conversing with smell of
       liquor on their breath.
Hera sat down on a stump wedged between two trees, away from the
people and waited in thoughtful silence.

He arrived at the feast a short while after it started, he kept
his hair covered with his hood but alloowed his face to be seen
as many would think it odd if he concealed himself so deeply in
a celebration. He wandered the feast slowly, allowing himself to
enjoy small nibbled of food here and there that he would pick
       from platters.
His eyes silently searched the crowd for the women he had spoken
to in the ally. He thought for sure she would be present in the
celebration seeing as she asked if he would be attending. He
stopped himself at the drink table and poured himself a goblet
full of whine. He would say one thing for the nobels, they had a
       taste for good drinks.
