Lunaris and Auburn Summers fire meets fire.
By: Kevin Alexander Lunaris Date: February 5, 2015, 2:06 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
He had grown tired of wandering, as an abyssal he wandered the
void between realitys. Able to visit any that he pleased. But
his mission along with his brothers was to keep a certain
balance to all things. So today he decided to peak in othe realm
of mortals. So with the simplest of thoughts a fire started
burning in a dark ally of a busy city. A place most sane people
would not enter. And if they did those who saw what was
happening wouldnt be belived out of cheer stupidity.
As the fire burned he clawed his way out of it, looking like a
demon crawling his way out of the depths of hell. As he stood
straight the fire crawled back revealing him, as though he were
being born directly from it. Wearing what looking to be normal
clothing, blue jeans chuck sneakers and a hoodied. He kepts his
hood pulled up so his face could not be hidded. For a moment he
remained a staggering 7 feet in stature. But to make himself
look more normal amoungst the realm he slowly began to shrink to
       just above six feet tall.

(I hope you don't mind if I go back along Auburns timeline to
before she lost her memory of the powers she has, only because
Thena and I are planning her storyline from there onwards and
I'd prefer not to muddle that with alternating storylines xD)
Auburn sighed, her soft breath pushing several strands of hair
out of her pale face. Today was a boring day. She'd already had
breakfast and was already counting down the minutes until lunch.
It seemed as though time slowed way down in between her fits of
anarchy. It was tiring work burning down buildings, she could
only use her powers so massively every so often and between each
act of arson she had to rest. Her fingers rubbed together
slowly, heating up the piece of tablecloth that sat between
them. It wasn't long before a small fire had started on the
fabric and with another heavy sigh, she stood up and walked
away. The cafe was particularly busy, someone would notice it in
a moment and it would be put out.
She strolled down the street slowly, her hands stuffed into the
pockets of her black varsity jacket, a pair of bright red Doc
Martens carrying her feet and her long legs wrapped tightly in
denim skinny jeans, the knees worn away to reveal pale skin.
What she hadn't expected was to see a flicker of fire from the
corner of her eye. Drawn to it like a moth, she turned her head
towards the ally just in time to see a man step forward. Had
he...? No, surely not. But her attraction to fire had never been
wrong before... With wide eyes, she paused and stared, (though
not at all subtly) waiting with baited breath. Surely he wasn't
like her... she'd never met any one like her before and yet...
       here he was.

He stepped out from the fire completely as she watched. He was
unaware of her pressence, and as he left the burning fire behind
in his step he removed a hand from his pocket. With a simple
click of his fingers the fire was gone. He stretched and cracked
his neck with a grunt. He then turned to walk out of the ally
and was stopped in mid stride by the site of the girl. Has she
seen what he had just done. How long had she been standing
       there.
His face could not be seen under the shadow of his hood. But as
he stared at her it was easy to see the glow of his eyes. A
mixture of reds yellows and oranged like the living embers of a
fire. He couldnt think of anything to say to the girl, So he
just stood staring at her hoping she may just run out of feer.

Auburn froze for a moment, which was rather ironic considering
her obsession with fire. If what she'd seen had been real, if
her tired mind hadn't just been playing tricks on her, then
maybe she could learn from this man? After all, he had just
stepped out of a flame and appeared from no where! If there was
any way she could learn something like that, she definitely
wanted to at least try, or maybe he could teach her things she
didn't know. But she had to work out if what she'd seen was
real... If she just asked outright and was wrong, she'd seem
crazy. If she showed him what she could do, maybe he'd respond
with a confirmation of what she had seen? She raised her hand
slowly and snapped her fingers, a flame hovering above her thumb
as though she'd simply clicked a lighter. The light of the flame
flickered on her eyes, a hazel stare watching for the reaction
and hoping that he'd give her the answer she wanted.

He watched as she raised her hand. With the sound of a snap fire
appeared above her thumb, with that she had easily peaked his
interest. Reaching up with one hand he drew back his hood
revealing his face. His skin was pale and black metal stood out
against the contrast of it on his lip nose and eyebrow in the
form of snake bite, septum, and eyebrow peircings. His glowing
eyes watched her face and the flame for a moment and he smirked.
He raised one hand infront of him and waved it in the air like a
magicine showing his hands were empty. The motion caused her
       flame to extinguish.
"Well its odd to find a mortal in this realm with control over
       fire."

She watched as he lowered his hood, her eyes quickly finding his
and fixing on them. With the motion of his hand, she felt the
heat of her flame flicker away and her lips twitched into a
smile despite trying to hide her excitement. In the midst of her
amazement, she barely heard him speak but she quickly registered
what he had said and stepped further into the ally so that she
was out of sight of passers by.
"I suppose you could say it's stolen control, it took me a long
time to track down what I needed..." The hot breath of her
companion, shrouded out of sight, on the back of her arm
reminded her that she should be more cautious. She didn't know
this man and he had powers that were seemingly stronger than
hers. Not to mention he'd said something about mortals? "What do
you mean, 'realm'?" Her eyes narrowed, suspicion soon growing.
He was right that it was rare to find anyone here with any kind
of power like hers, but the way he spoke made it sound like he'd
been somewhere that had others like her. But where?

He smirked a little and his eyes broke from her gaze. He looked
down to her side and for a moment his eyes grew brighter. As
they flickered his smile widened and he listened to her speak.
She was unaware of anything but her own home. Of anything but
mortal things. Yet a hound stood at her side, hidden to everyone
without the eyes to see it. His hair white as the snow fell to
cover his eyes. Giving him a look that would make anyone uneasy
as his eyes glowed behind it.
"You dont know of anything but your home? But your companion
dwells from another realm just as I do. though we are not from
the same. Theres much more out there than the self centered
realm of mortal beings. Though your life spands are so short and
fragile that no have ever suceded in finding it. It almost makes
me feel sorry for you all. Trapped here, with the same thing day
after day, year after year, centurie after centurie. Its all
rather dull if you cant get away from it."

Auburn could see his eyes lower, but surely he couldn't see
him... Though as soon as he spoke, she knew he had.
Straightening up and broadening her shoulders, she frowned,
hearing a faint growl from her side though it faded as she
placed a hand on the beasts head. "I know of... other things. A
demon gave him to me, along with my power. His name is Salpsan."
The more he spoke, the more confused Auburn became. "You speak
as though you're not from here. Am I right in that assumption?"
As though he knew it was pointless to remain out of sight,
Salpsan shimmered into view like the flickering of a flame. He
was pitch black, his fur ragged and scruffy though his eyes were
a deep red, like two lights amongst the dark fur. He was tall
enough that his head was waist-high against Auburn, certainly a
large dog considering Auburn was almost 6" tall in her boots.
"Who are you?" Auburn scowled, her excitement hidden now as
curiosity and concern shrouded her view.

He heard the dog growl, the smile never left his face but his
body tensed just slightly incase he needed to react to the dog
attacking. His eyes met hers again and he listened as she spoke
nodding his head just slightly. "That would be correct. I do not
come from this realm." His eyes looked to her side again as the
beast shimmered into sight. Large and intimidating like most
things that came from hell. But not the most out of place thing
he had seen by far. "Who am I? Well I suppose if youve met a
demon it wouldnt hurt to let you know what I am. MY name is
Lunaris, I am what is know to those who have the knowledge as an
abyssal. My kind walk the voids in reality, between realms and
mantain a certain balance in the flow of the world. Many myths
are known about us, so many that Ive forgoten some."

Salpsan lowered his hind quarters slowly until he was sat,
though was still ready to jump into action if need be. He was a
loyal companion and would fight until the bitter end to protect
Auburn, even if it was only to delay whatever came at her and
give her time to run. True, if he was killed he would be reborn
from the nearest flame, but to anyone who didn't know how to
kill a hellhound, this was unknown. "An abyssal...?" Auburn only
seemed to have more questions than before. She shook her head
and ran a hand through her bright red hair, trying to get a
grasp on what he was telling her. "Voids in reality? Realms?
Balance? And I thought demons were complicated..." She took a
deep breath and seemed to think for a moment, then nodded to
herself. "Well, if you are what you say you are, why are you
here? I mean, of all places, why this place? You said it
yourself, this realm is self centred and dull."
