Re: New Multiverse Relaxed Rp

A soft breath of air moved past lips slightly parted, misting
within the cool atmosphere; a heavy presence this breath
accompanied, full of solemn, silent brooding; of repressed rage
and sorrow, an animal stalking the perimeter of its cage.
Slowly, as if time itself was slowing -halting even- before this
presence, everything became quiet.
Truly, a god had come; a god broken and damaged, clinging to the
last folds of its sanity; clinging to memories only the god
knew.
The god himself was fairly large: broad shouldered, deep in the
chest, lean with hard muscle that slightly bulged; long in the
legs and arm, though not an awkward lanky man by any means. Dark
stubble grew from his face though it didn't hide the strong
jawline and the slightly cleft chin. His features were sharp,
angular with high cheekbones and somewhat deeply set eyes. His
arms were tattooed with chains that wrapped around the arms,
curling along the back of his shoulders and neck. The man was
physically attractive, no doubt, but his demeanor put most women
off, though some braved it, if only for one night. He didn't
care if they stayed or went, though he might have a hand in why
they left him alone or why they went away after a few nights,
but it was only rarely did he allow himself to meddle, to steer
the mortal women in another direction that wasn't his.
Standing there, soft thunder rolled in the distance, as if the
storm followed this man; the wind wisped across his person,
messing with the soft tresses of raven-black hair; snagging at
the soft, brown leather pants that clung a little too tightly;
ruffling the black cape over the dark-blue t-shirt.
Aetus Blackwood made himself known to all those present,
releasing his tightly controlled presence.

Subtle murmurs pass between the two she noticed in the realm,
but she failed to comprehend their meanings due to the distance
between her and them. Not that she was curious, merely bored.
Allowing the two to slip from her attentive gaze, her eyes scan
her surroundings once more.
In her grasp, she maintained a loose hold on a single petal
which was all that remained of the flower she had just picked
apart. Her fingers absentmindedly twisted it. Eventually, she
noticed what her fingers were doing. Sighing heavily at the
mutilated flower petal, the woman allowed the breeze to take it
from her grasp.
A thunderclap disturbed her thoughts. Her gaze followed the
noise just north of where she stood. A man was there. The first
thing she took notice of were the tattoos that marred the skin
on his arms with intricate chains. The second thing the woman
noticed, which probably should have been the first, was the
abnormality of his presence. Clearly, the being was far more
than one could see on his exterior.
The female decided it best not to pry, but she did offer him a
greeting with a single, brief nod.

Noticing the watching eyes, he turned his gaze to the watcher,
cocking an eyebrow ever so slightly; a movement hardly
noticeable, especially from so far away. He allowed himself to
take her in as she had taken him in (hue). Catching the floating
flower petal, he sighed.
Must they destroy such fragile things? Am I so different?
Perhaps not... but... I am more.
Aetus reigned in his presence, his aura, that he had let loose.
Eyeing the other two, he moved towards the woman.
While she was beautiful, he had eyes for something else
entirely. He felt something almost unnatural about the calmness
she radiated, the serene beauty that emanated from without, but
not within. Was she has broken as him? No, that wasn't the case;
not entirely, he presumed, though he didn't let the thought
stray too far before he let it go.
The young Blackwood had always had a small sense for the
emotions, though whether that was from his father or his own
gifts, he knew not. Such a gift had turned into a curse all too
quickly, however, his mind travelling across the waves of Time,
touching memories better left alone. At least, for the moment.
He was a god, young and full of power, though the young
arrogance had long since left, replaced by a sense of wisdom, of
a kind of elderly knowledge a lifetime of pain and suffering, of
laughter and happiness could bring.
He bowed before the woman, a deep and courteous movement, one
arm folded beneath his stomach and one behind his back.
"May I introduce myself? I have been humbled by your beauty, and
lest I be made a mockery of by my brethern, I must have a name
though no name could hope to contain such perfection as you have
embodied, my dearest lady." His voice was deep, rough; almost
reminiscent of the thunder echoing across the realm, but soft
like the wind that sang with the trees.

A frown took captive of her soft, pink lips as the male bowed
deeply a the waist for no one but her. So respectful, yet so
uncompromisingly shameful. Beauty in appearance, the female was
anything but and what enhanced her wisdom was the fact that she
knew it to be true. He was no fool, but his presentation made
her to be one.
After his weightless words took form and meaning in her mind,
the bilingual woman smiled in spite of everything. He was an
awfully compelling individual, but she couldn't help but
question his motives.
"A mockery, you say? Well, we would not want that, would we?"
she asked, her accent apparent, but unique. "If you must bow to
me in order to pay respect to my beauty, must I too to you? For
I am but a mortal woman and you are so much more. Or you do
appear to be. Forgive my blunt nature, I was never taught how to
filter my thoughts. My name is Elayne."
Turning her back to the man, she plucks a second flower from the
tree. This action showed one of two things, either she trusted
him enough to turn her back to him or she was very sure of her
ability to fend for herself against him. Maybe, she simply did
not care or perhaps she was a fool.
Elayne faced him once more, cupping the plant in her hands a as
her emerald gaze met his eyes, awaiting to hear his name.
Like snakes, individual strands of ebony hair intertwine with
one another and lash out at her pale skin along her cheeks and
neck as the wind toys with them.

At her question, he cocked an eyebrow, perhaps a sign of
surprise on an otherwise stone-like visage. "Mortal though you
may be, I am at your mercy. But, beyond that, bowing would be a
sign of deference, of servitude, would it not? I do not own you
nor should you defer to me. Because, while I may stand above you
on the mortal coil, without you, I'd be nothing."
While she had her back to him, he averted his gaze, though met
her own green hues with his own blue, "I am Aetus Blackwood, of
Time and of Fate; A god." There was no sense of pride nor of
shame, but his tone was even, cold; matter-of-fact. As if him
being a god was a casual thing. Perhaps it was, to him and his
family.
In many ways, he hated mortals; they were weak and fragile,
prone to death like flies. But sometimes, they displayed great
beauty, in art or in their physical aspects. He had felt her
suspicion, though hadn't dwelled on it. Was it such a shame,
such a crime, to pay respects? If only Halimae were here... A
soft breath escaped him once more as he dwelled upon his cousin.
The air around him growing heavy with a sense of longing before
the cold certainty took place once again, dispelling the heavy
tension around him with aggressive intent.
"May I ask where you are from, as your voice doesn't sound
familiar to my ears?"

The woman nodded at his reply but stayed quiet as a thoughtful
expression took over her facial features. Out of habit that had
followed her out of childhood and into womanhood, she bit her
bottom lip as she thought. Over the years, her teeth had left
small impressions within the delicate skin of her lip that could
only be seen up close or felt by a sensitive touch.
When he spoke again, she snapped out of her thoughts and glanced
up from the flower to hold his gaze.
Although she had expected him to be a god, it was still
unnerving to have her suspicions confirmed. The only god she had
met had been rather cruel, but she would not hold it against
others with the same title.
"I am unworthy to be bowed to. Especially, when by god. Did you
not see the flower my idle hands ripped apart? None should be at
my mercy. Though, I'm sure you could fend off a mere woman such
as me, but would you want to?" she asked, saying anything that
came to mind.
Then, she smiled. As if playing the chords of her sensuality,
the woman gives the god of time and fate an improper wink in
order to lighten the mood. Such deep discussions were for pillow
talk in her mind. There was no need to be so serious that it
caused hard feelings. Besides, they were merely acquaintances.
"I am from Spain," she replied. "I try to disguise my accent as
it hardly helps my ability to speak a different language. May I
make an inquiry as well and ask as to why you have ventured
here? Surely, you must have more important people to converse
with than I."
Her gaze momentarily followed the chiseled angles of his
cheekbones before resting on the delicate curves of his lips and
then meandering back up to his eyes once again. Ely's face
remained quizzically blank as her fingertips stroked the soft
flower petals.

He tilted his head to the side at her admission of guilt, if it
could be called that, "For there to be life, there must also be
death. With death, there is a certain beauty, a kind of grace,
that follows it. That is, for the ones participating in that
ill-fated dance, of course..."
He let himself trail off, surely not wanting to bore his guest
with idle philosophy.
The god rolled his shoulders in a small shrug, unaware of the
gesture. "I could do a lot to fend off a woman, I imagine, but I
do enjoy a good round or three of..." He stopped himself.
Although, he probably shouldn't have, given the nature of the
wink.
"Spain? Sounds like a wonderful place. I may have to take myself
there in the near-future. But you shouldn't hide your accent, as
it makes you, you. That is the problem with you mortals. You
fear rejection, abandonment from your peers that you go through
such lengths to make yourself presentable, to put on this layer
upon layer of masks." Again, he sighed; after a moment, he
flicked his hand into the air, the flower she had torn apart
resting between his fingers as he held it out to her. "You, at
this very moment, are the most important person I could be
talking to."
While he hadn't noticed it, there was a lightness to his speech
now; an openness about him that wasn't there before the start of
the conversation. Truly, he felt himself getting lost in this
moment, allowed himself to. It felt good to talk to his Uncle's
creations once again, to have a conversation about something
other than family or any other such weighty conversations with
his brothers and sisters, but neither his eyes nor his face had
warmed up; remaining cold, almost impassive.

Her brow raised as his sentence abruptly ended, but she remained
polite by not asking him to finish his spoken thought. Instead,
she smiled to herself. It was unusual to meet someone who shared
her type of thinking and she enjoyed his theories as well as his
puzzling nature.
The woman crossed eliminated the distance between them to get a
better look at what he was holding out to her. Elayne looked at
the reconstructed flower in his grasp but instead of taking it,
her hand rested on his, just an inch shy of the petite petals.
"I do not fear rejection. I have found that others have a harder
time distinguishing my words through the heavy lull of my
accent. The only one I need to please is myself and trust me, I
do."
Her comment seemed to have a double meaning, but she gave no
other inclination. Slowly, her fingers braced the flower in his
grasp and hid it from sight. A moment later, she lifted her hand
to reveal a pile of ashes that were already beginning to be
pulled away by the wind.
"I suppose I dance quite often with death. Much more than other
mortals. Beauty shall follow death, but sometimes I am left
wanting. I will not see every purpose for death in my lifetime,"
she murmured, more so to herself.
Sorrow edged the features of her face before dissipating into
hardened acceptance. Long lashes brushed her cheeks as she
peered down at her hands in front of her before letting them
fall to her sides. Returning to gaze up at him, a smile
reappears, ridding any remnants of the frown.
"I'm glad you believe so. It has been some time since I have
spoken with someone with such insight. It's quite refreshing,"
she replied.
The woman took a step back in order to avoid invading his
comfort zone and tucks her hair behind her left ear, idly.

He let the ashes fall from his hands, those not already crashing
to the ground. Aetus wasn't all that disturbed by the sudden
death of the flower, but merely sighed. "Death is there so life
may grow again. A vicious and terrible cycle, but a necessary
one, Elayne."
Hearing her, he shook his head, "Then they do not listen. And if
they are, it is for the wrong reasons, I believe. I find it...
interesting."
The man didn't follow too much into her words, though felt
something in the back of his mind stir; she was baiting him,
probably. Wondering why he hadn't made a move, or tried to do
something. It was not as if he didn't have his own needs of the
flesh, but he let it go; as she said, he could fend them off
should he want to. He sighed almost wearily.
A downside to interacting with them were the thought processes
that come and go.
As she had let him have his own silence, he let her have hers;
getting her thoughts in order, he could almost hear the gears
turning, setting it all up. "I would have to agree. I've been
away and isolated for so long, I nearly forgotten what it was
like to actually talk to another human being." Aetus watched her
take a step back, though it was unfortunate, having enjoyed the
brief contact, however slight it may have been, when she had
taken the flower; and found himself enjoying the warmth that
came off of her.

Giving a subtle nod, the woman dismissed the thought of death.
Why linger on things when nothing could be changed? Besides, she
took part in both life and death. Over the years, she had grown
numb to the beauty of life while death continued to gnaw away at
her happiness. Perhaps, she was far to cynical, but then was it
not necessary in her career?
Aside from the talk of death, she found something that intrigued
her; the way he spoke her name. She wrote it off quickly as
another one of his supernatural talents. What kind of supreme
being would he be if it were not for his ability to make females
swoon? Thankfully, she was not like most women and she did not
'swoon'. But, she did rather enjoy it nonetheless.
"Interesting? How so? I often find it annoying, but that's just
me, I suppose," Elayne said, with a nonchalant shrug.
With a slight tilt of her head, she asks, "why have you been
isolated? If you do not mind my prying?"
Once again, the woman turned her back on the man and picked off
another bloomed flower from the tree before facing him again.
Many, if not most, would have grown confused with the
inconsistencies of her behavior and her words about death which
had been sorrowful. Hardly anyone would have noticed the rose
bush that was unable to thrive due to the particular branch of
flowers shielding the sunlight from it.
