       Only Time Will Tell
By: Aeryn Danika Tyson Date: December 7, 2014, 5:45 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Most girls like roses and sweet words and just plain anything
red, right? Not Torrence, she's not that type of girl. Torrence
was born and raised to think of nothing but the worst in people
       - her mother told her that if she were to think the best in
anyone, someone... that it would just end in tears and regret,
and she didn't feel like she should go through that. Torrence
wasn't the type to really care about much either, she was cold
to the heart and wouldn't want it any other way. She had been
this way all her life, the fact that her mother got kidnapped
had nothing to do with it.
The darkness was all that Torrence had known for a very long
time. She sat alone in her, what other people would call, room.
Her legs folded underneath her, as she looked up at the wall on
the other side of her room. It had a poster board pinned to it,
with little notes she had been writing to herself. They had
always told her that 'Only time will tell,' on when they would
find her mother and that wasn't cutting it. No, Torrence was
sick and tired of all the lying that had been telling her
       nonstop lately.
The ringing of her phone hadn't startled her, nothing could
startle her anymore. She shifted her glance only very slightly
and looked at the phone that sat on her night stand. It was a
blocked number, the number she had been waiting for. She reached
over and picked it up, sliding the locked screen open and held
the phone up to ear but said nothing. Who needed to say anything
when the person on the other line would know exactly who she
       was?
       "It's time."
That was all she needed. Torrence got up and got dressed. She
grabbed her weapon from the closet and pulled her boots on
before she left the house. She looked at the house and just took
in a deep breath. "Goodbye." She spoke in her thick German
accent. She lifted a lighter from her back pocket; flicking it
open and light it she tossed the light on the house and watched
the building blow up in flames. This actually brought a smile to
her lips. Turning around she walked down the street of her home
town and into the darkness for a new adventure.
