       Sway & Cy
By: Danielle Date: October 9, 2014, 10:55 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
She had left him. God help her, and with all odds against her...
she had left him. And now she was alone.
The yellow-orange glow of a BIC lighter flared brighter than the
sun as it approached the far end of her re-packed Swisher Sweet.
At least, that's what she thought. It had been, to her best
guess, something like 40 hours since she'd left the cold embrace
of her king sized bed. Her phone had been the only light,
tequila her only sustenance, and blunts her only friend. She was
more than willing to bet that mascara, or it's remnants, coated
the skin around her eyes. The characteristic crimson lipstick
that she wore was hours past gone. Her hair probably could have
passed for dreadlocks at this point. And she didn't have it in
       herself to care.
She sprawled herself across the bed, fumbling her hand over the
bed and across the old carpeting and trying half-halfheartedly
not to torch her duvet. "My... fucking... wheresa bottle! Fuck!"
Her finger slipped across the broken edge of her previous
tequila bottle, bringing a slow stream of blood into the stale
emptiness of the room. But what did she care, really. There was
no one around for her to ask to tend to her wound. No one around
to take her orders, worship her body, or ease her mind. A
drunken laugh escaped from her lips as they pulled away from the
deep gash in her hand. She'd had it all, once; a strong-willed
man to lie to her, and a weak-willed woman to control. But her
mistake had been her attempt to serve the man with loyalty. It
had left her empty and wanting the weak, obedient touch of the
woman. "The things I would make her do..." she slurred with a
smile, bringing her blunt back to her lips with a long inhale.

--Some people never learn from their past while others overcome
the strong hold that the memories enrapture them. Then, there
are the few who bury the past under loads of work and keeping
busy, never allowing that creeping sensation to regurgitate
       itself back into the limelight.--
How long has it been? A year? Two? Three?! Five!? Who knows and
who cares. The woman, Cytheria, who found her way out of
addiction, pain, and the brainwashing that was her previous
relationships. Now, a successful business business woman who
owned her own ranch and was able to stand on her own two feet
for once in her life. She hasn't thought about her past in
years, instead, she was happy with her life right now. "Calm
down, Meagan.." Cy told her white horse. It was snow white with
beautiful blue eyes. "It's only thunder.." She reassured the
steed as it neighed and bucked with her dainty fingers running
through her horse's hair. As Meagan calmed down, Cytheria smiled
and closed up the barn for the evening. "I"ll be here for a
while. I have a month vacation time to work on the ranch,
darling.." She said. "Have a good evening, you have food and
water and a clean stable. I'll try to get you more company
soon.." Cytheria closed the barn's door and headed to her ranch
house which was about ten or fifteen yards away from the stable.
Their was what seemed to be a large storm rolling in; the first
of the season. The windmills rocked and turned. Trees rustled
and swayed, dust spiraled and churned. As she made it to her
ranch house, Cytheria started to make some dinner for herself.
It was lonely up here, but it was a nice departure from the busy
business life that she had grown accustomed to. This was surely
a way to return to her roots..

By: Danielle Date: October 13, 2014, 5:16 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Three months ago, the father she'd hardly known had passed away.
His body had thrown a blood clot into his brain and that was the
end of Tennessee Adams. But his fortune and belongings had lived
on, passed down to his one and only living, though estranged,
relative. And so it was that Sway now lived in a three million
dollar home on the outskirts of a small southern town. She also
owned properties in four other states that she had yet to visit,
but there was no road trip in her near future. The inheritance
meant nothing to her, and she had moved into the house only to
escape the miserable excuse for a home that she had been in for
the previous four years... living with Him after they had agreed
to break off their relationships with the woman they'd been
       ruining.
You could have been the the next one... God only knows... You
could have been the one to comprehend me... The popular 2007
rock hit bounced around the marble walls of the bathroom, and
Sway cursed under her breath as she snapped back to reality. You
could have been the only one... the broken down and sick one...
You could have been the one who I lie with... The water was too
hot; her skin would burn when she walked out of it's embrace and
be bright pink when she looked into the large mirror. You come
around when you finally face this... You come around when you
find me faceless... She didn't want to talk to anyone who would
be calling. Fuck me like you hate me... dig it up and tear it
down... Dig it up and whore me out... Probably a housekeeper on
one of those godforsaken properties. Maybe a lawyer; things were
still being worked out with Tennessee's will. Though she didn't
understand what could take so long... everything was supposed to
be hers. Fuck me like you hate me... dig it up and tear it
down... Don't make a sound 'til I come undone...
The ringing faded away and she stepped out of the shower into
the steamy expanse of the overpriced bathroom. Stepping out onto
the plush cream rug, she grabbed a warm towel and ran it quickly
over her coloring-book skin before wrapping up her clean hair.
She checked the new message on her phone as she lit a menthol
and headed down the hall and into her kitchen. Lawyer; just what
she needed. No one really wanted to speak to her as of late, and
someone from Dunphy, Stils, and Patton usually got stuck with
the unpleasant job. Everyone blamed her foul attitude on grief
over Tennessee's death, which never ceased to give her a laugh.
As if she gave a damn.
She hit 'Call Back' on her phone and settled herself onto the
living room's black chaise lounge, a glass of tequila in hand.
"Rick Dunphy, my favorite pain in the ass... What do you need of
me?" He had a terribly boring voice; mid-fifties, unmarried, and
known for asking too many questions, Dunphy was more than enough
to make anyone hate lawyers. "I don't give a damn about horses,
Rick. I told you to liquidate the assets at the ranch in...
wherever it is. Sell them... Well then find me someone who will
sell them for me." She snapped the phone shut and brought her
glass to her lips. What the hell did she want with a barn full
       of horses.

Grilled chicken and steamed vegetables; it was one thing about
Cy, the woman could cook. How, unstable she might have been in
her past, cooking was one thing that no one would be able to
take from her. Living on ranches for most of her life, before
meeting 'Them', Cytheria learned the values of a home coked
meal. As she sat down to dinner, the loud crackle of thunder
surprised her and caused her to jump. "Calm down... It's just
thunder.." The woman told herself with a light chuckle; it was
the very thing she told her lone horse Meagan. Was she telling
her horse that, or herself? Shaking her head, she continued with
her meal with little on the agenda for the night. A nice long
bubble bath, a book, and the sounds of the slowly passing storm.
She was glad that she locked the stable up so the doors wouldn't
       fly open.
After her meal was finished, Cytheria headed upstairs and
       started her bath. The hot water steamed up the bathroom quickly;
she needed it after working in the ranch all day. Nothing like a
good day's work to get your mind off of . . Things. Things that
still haunts her to this day. Things that seemed to forever ebb
at her dependent personality. Oh, how she loved him; them. They
seemed to make her life complete, meaningful, worth something.
Yet they threw her out like garbage full of used socks and
underwear... She was left to fend for herself even after
countless nights pent pounding on their doors and windows,
hoping they were just punishing her for something that she did
wrong. Hoping that one day, that door would open again to the
couple's loving arms. They loved her, she loved them. One day.
One day... Once again, Cytheria jerked at a sound that startled
her, yet this time, it wasn't the storm raging outside, it was
       her phone.
Taking the phone and putting it on speaker, Cy began to undress
and prepare for her bath. On the other end of the phone was a
man by the name of Rick Dunphy. He was looking to sell of a
ranch full of horses. "But, I don't have the money to buy that
many horses, sir!" She told him. But, his words were so slick
and he was willing to sell them for nearly nothing. How could
she refuse?! "Well, I was looking for some more horses for my
stable. I guess your timing is impeccable.." She giggled. "I'll
be available around noon, Just swing on by." Adams... That was
the name the man mentioned. It sounded so familiar, yet so
distant.. Putting it off as a common name, Cytheria sank into
her drawn bath in preparation for her big talks with the lawyer
tomorrow. He said he would be bringing the seller with him to
view the ranch. Sounded like it would be quite the investment.

Brown hair sprawled out on the white sheets as a slim body
writhed beneath her. "Please... Sway please..." The small woman
pleaded with her, pulling at the soft straps around her wrists
and ankles. "Please..." Sway chucked and moved her fingernails
roughly up the woman's inner thigh, letting the ends of her
blond hair tickle the pale, helpless flesh that she straddled.
"Have I asked you to speak, girl?" Sway leaned in and clamped
her teeth over one of the girl's perky breasts. She cried out
and squirmed more on the silky sheets, stoking the fire in
Sway's lower belly even further. "Yes, love. Cry for me... my
       beautiful girl..."
You could have been the next one... God only knows... You could
have been the one to comprehend me...
She stirred in her sleep and woke with a curse, snatching her
phone off of the pillow next to her and hitting the green
button. "What now, Dunphy?" She grabbed a pre-rolled blunt from
her bedside table, and the lighter next to it. Flicking the BIC,
she lit the drugs in the dark with the ease of an old pro.
"Found me a buyer, have you? Fucking lovely! Deposit the money
into the 8745 account when you're finished then... Why should I
need to be there? Well I think I'll pass on that." She glanced
down at the blunt in her hand. "I have other business to- What
did you say?" She stopped, flicking on the light at her bedside
table. "Not the price you idiot. The name, what did you say her
name was?" Her lower stomach coiled, her heart clogged her
throat, and her mind reeled. "Email me the address. I will meet
you at the ranch half an hour into your meeting." Turning her
phone's screen off, she took a long drag on the blunt in her
hand and wondered to herself how the woman had the money to play
ball with Dunphy. Not that Sway wouldn't give her all the horses
she wanted for free, in the end.

It was 12:15pm, the noon sun beat down upon the ranch,
attempting to dry up the murky puddles that rest in lieu of last
nights torrential rain storm. Several branches had fallen, but
nothing too serious. Cytheria had been out since about ten
cleaning up and getting her stable ready for her visitor. Meagan
was out enjoying the breezy cool Spring weather. The ranch was
well kept and comfortable. All she could think about was this
new acquisition; with this deal she could probably afford to
live here and quit her day job. Just living life on the
outskirts without any worries. Just her and her thoughts...
Thoughts, memories, the past that haunts. Scars that is a
constant reminder of how things were, of how happy she was...
Just as thoughts were flooding back, a black Lincoln followed by
a truck trailing a large trailer approached. Cytheria met them
at the gates and allowed them to enter. Exiting the vehicle was
a rather tall and older man; he introduced himself as Dunphy,
the man she had spoke to last night. He was about twenty minutes
late, but to his defense, the ranch was difficult to find if one
didn't know the area. He took a look around and surveyed the
property. All he could say was Ms. Adams would be here soon.
Cytheria didn't mind the wait as they went over the documents
and payments. Of course, the owner would have the final say in
things. "Would you like something to drink? Eat?" She asked, the
man denied, simply awaiting to finish the transaction and going
home. He didn't seem like the outdoorsy type, or the type for
small talk; simply business and questions. Though, he didn't
seem to care about upkeep or anything like that; just the sale.
He was like the black briefcase lugging door to door guy. As she
waited, Cytheria had a look at the horses. There were six of
them, all seem to be healthy and beautiful. "They are so
beautiful. What are their names?" Of course, the lawyer didn't
know. Cy just shrugged as she continued to investigate the
       horses.

It was seven in the morning when her phone alerted her of an
email with a loud ding. Reaching out, she pulled the phone into
her lap and maneuvered over the screen to bring up the email.
She laughed dryly. A mere three hours away, the woman lived.
"What a damned joke." She dialed Dunphy quickly and lit a
Newport as she waited for him to answer. She left out the
formalities as she interrupted his answer, "You will need to
draw me up a second set of papers. You will not inform our buyer
that these papers exist. You are to carry out business as usual
and go over the original papers with her as planned until I
arrive." She outlined the terms of the second set, and asked if
he understood. "If I wanted an alternate set of papers to be
drawn, I would have asked for exactly that, Mr. Dunphy." He
argued a little more. "Shut up, Dunphy! I pay you an amount of
money that ridiculously outweighs your salary as a second rate
lawyer. Do you know why I do this? I do it so that you will do
as I fucking ask, Dunphy. So do. As. I've. Fucking. Asked." She
ended the call and set the phone next to her once more.
It was nearly one o'clock when the large gates finally appeared
in her windshield. She hated the country. Road signs were
practically a myth and a clean car never did stay clean. Things
were impossible to find and it was unbearably quiet. She hated
the country. Hence why she'd had no desire to care for the ranch
or the horses that she'd inherited. She pulled into the drive,
the engine of her Audi a8 purring gently. She parked behind the
Lincoln that she assumed to belong to the lawyer, and craned her
neck around to see a group of three people walking into the
horse trailer. Taking advantage of the tinted windows, she
reapplied her bloody lipstick and rearranged her bleached curls.
Stepping out of the Audi, she slipped her sunglasses onto her
face and fixed the buttons of her black pant suit before heading
       toward the trailer.
She came up quietly, her low heels silent on the compacted dirt
of the drive. The buyers back was to her as she looked closely
at a chocolate colored horse, but Dunphy turned, and Sway gave
him a gentle nod as she crossed her arms under her chest and
took stance just outside the trailer. He turned back to the
buyer with a smile, "Might I introduce you to the owner of the
       horses, Ms. Sway Adams."

The introduction came swiftly, yet took what seemed like days to
register in her mind. 'Sway Adams'. The brush that Cytheria was
using to groom one of the horses dropped out of her hand and hit
the floor of the trailer with a sound that seemed excruciatingly
louder to her than it was in reality. The brunette's heart beat
against her chest, daring to break free of it's boney confines
and release itself. Her breathing was halted; held up within her
chest as if holding her pounding heart at bay. A shy tear
brimmed her eyes but was never released. After taking a deep
breath, Cytheria turned around to see if this was true. Surely,
there were plenty of Sway Adams in the world, right? Not THE
Sway. What are the odds, right..?! But, seeing her in the flesh,
a slight change in hair, yet everything else remained the same.
A penchant for flash and flair as if auditioning to be a
       burlesque model.
"Hello. . Sway." It pained her to even say the woman's name as
memories -both good and bad- reemerged from the deepest corners
of the woman's mind. Even after clearing her throat, Cytheria's
voice was still broken and strained; obvious she was forcing
formality. She offered Sway her hand in greeting while her hazel
eyes struggled to remain eye contact; something Sway forbid
unless she asked specifically. "These are beautiful horses you
have here. Care to come in and talk over something to drink?"
She asked, now wanting to get this over with. She nibbled her
bottom lip as she awaited Sway.

Satisfaction bloomed in her chest as the grooming brush fell
from the brunette's hand. Surprise, my lover, she thought to
herself. But she drank in the sight of the woman before she
turned around. Her hair was longer now, and fell around the area
where Sway imagined her thin bra straps to end. Still thin,
though she didn't doubt that the woman's weight and health had
fluctuated immensely after they'd shunned her from their lives,
much like her own had. And her ass... simply beautiful. She
momentarily imagined it pushed against the side of the trailer,
       with leather reigns restraining her.
The vision dissipated as the woman turned around, but was
replaced with wonderful memories. Cytheria tried so hard to
sound formal, Sway could sense the tension in her voice as she
spoke. She also kept eye contact as she extended her hand. Sway
removed her sunglasses and raised her eyebrows as she looked
down at the hand. Cytheria was bold, to greet her the way she
was. And in proper fashion, Sway cut the woman down immediately.
"Ms. Adams will do, thank you." She was eager to touch her, and
eager to reestablish their relationship, knowing that she had
something else to bring to the table this time around. But her
control issues told her that she needed to enforce her dominance
before she could experience any of the impending rewards.
So she walked past the brunette without greeting her any
further. She looked around at the horses. Three brown, one
white, and two black with white areas on their hooves and faces.
She cared for them only because the woman desired them... and
that meant that she would do anything she needed to ensure their
well-being. Which was why she'd hired the best transportation
money could buy, and had all of their necessary equipment
brought along. "I think we should take care of the paperwork
immediately. I am sure that Mr. Dunphy has other things to tend
to. After which I would enjoy a drink with you, since you are
offering. We can discuss... the horses." She gestured around and
cut the lawyer off quickly as he started to protest. "Are all
six horses to your liking, Cytheria?" Saying her name a little
too softly, she finally allowed her eyes to meet those of the
       woman.

--"Please! Let me back in!" A voice called from outside of a
heavy dark cider door. "PLEASE! Don't leave me out here alone!"
The cries and wales would fall upon deaf ears; or ears that
chose to ignore it. Of course, the same ears could just be
having some type of sick pleasure listening to a woman plead for
her lively hood back; her love back; her life back. The storm
that beat down upon her; soaking her clothes, adding more weight
to her already heavy heart. Soaking her brown hair to the point
of being a stringy mess. She shivered as she beat upon the
obstruction that blocked her from the warm and cozy inside. The
strong hands of Diketsu and Sway holding her and comforting
her... Rage set in shortly, which prompted the woman to kick at
the door as hard as she could, twisting her ankle in the
       process.
Tears added to the cold rain water that cascaded down her face.
Her lip trembled as she pondered what to do now. She must have
spent several hours pacing, sitting, and even sleeping next to
the door before finally limping away like a rejected puppy.
Cytheria had spent some time in a hospital for malnutrition when
she noticed a family member there who offered to get her a
       job...--
Seeing Sway's face for the first time in years had brought back
so many memories, so many questions. What if she just waited a
little longer? What if she showed them that she was good enough
to be with them, to be a part of their lives. Sway had to still
love her, right? No one would do that to someone they love?! No.
Yes. Maybe. Yes. Yes she does. She HAS to, right? She HAS to
feel the love that Cytheria has for her. The self inflicted
scars that spelled 'Sway' on her upper thigh HAD to prove it,
right?!!? Of course, Sway's voice had broken the brunette's
train of thought. "Okay, Ms. Adams. . ." Dammit. Why did she let
her do this again?! It was just business, formalities are king
here. "They are beautiful; I love them.." She said softly, yet
keeping a firm grasp on her voice. As she looked over the paper
work, everything seemed legit, all shots taken and all horses
stable broken. The lawyer didn't seem too enthused, but in
normal Sway fashion, she didn't care.
Cytheria's extended hand dropped to her side, clinched into a
fist and her eyes narrowed as the woman simply walked past her
as if she was a nothing; she didn't even look at her! The nerve
of this bitch! She inwardly growled before regaining her
composure and turning to see Sway and her lawyer. She walked up
to them slowly, wondering if this was something she was going to
regret; the need for horses still weighing heavily. "Okay, where
do I sign? I'll have the checks mailed to you by tomorrow.."
       Cytheria's knees weakened slightly with how Sway said her name;
the sultry breathy smooth as silk utterance was enough to make
her shiver, yet she held her composure, save for a bitten lower
       lip.
