Aoife had to bite her lips to keep the laughter from
spilling out. Hazel eyes remained locked on his in a silent
battle, ignoring the pointing and whispering from the old people
that inhabited the pizza place as best she could, granting them
nothing other than a light pink blush that settled on the apples
of her cheeks. She allowed herself to laugh only when he
initiated it, listening to his rugged chuckles before letting
out her own girlish giggles.
A brow rose when she noticed his smirk, but before
she could act he grabbed her by the back of her neck and pulled
her face to his. A soft squeal slipped through her lips before
her face puckered up as he smeared pizza sauce on her face. Her
hands instinctively reached out to him, one on his shoulder and
the other pressed to his chest in an attempt to push away but he
held onto her tight. With her hands maintaining contact Aoife
looked at him when he finished, brows furrowed with an
expression of playful displeasure. Only a second passed before
she broke out into a smile, giggling at his words. From his
shoulder her hand traveled up into his hair, ruffling it ever so
slightly.
“Yeah? You’ve got a bit on you too, Ste-fan. Let me
help.” Her hands slipped off of him and reached for napkins,
sticking one on each cheek as she looked at him with triumphant
eyes. “Oh wait, I missed a spot.” Reaching back to the table,
the third napkin was placed on his forehead, unfolding downwards
to cover his eyes. Aoife could only laugh.
