Amelie cast one last look at Gabriel. His back was still facing
her, rigid with emotion. Her eyebrows drew together with
concern, but she kept her lips sealed and watched silently until
his hand was waved to dismiss her. With a nod she immediately
left the room, and once the door was closed behind her she
supported her back against the wall to gather herself for a
moment. Several soothing deep breaths flowed through her being
until she pushed herself off of the wall, a hand reaching out
until its fingertips softly touched the door. “I’ll succeed,
Gabriel. For all of us.” She whispered before finally moving
away and back to her own chambers.
Once in her room she got out of her sleep clothes and put one a
white dress similar to the one she had been wearing during the
day. It was a simple design; modest, elegant, and reached just
above the knees of her long legs—the weather didn’t have much
effect on her, it took a lot to make her feel hot or cold.
Slipping on a pair of plain sandals, Amelie went out to her
balcony. After sending a silent prayer out to her precious ones,
hoping for their safety, Amelie spread her average white wings.
Just before she was about to leave, she sent out an extra prayer
       for Gabriel.

Such noise. Noise as such is a unnecessary evil. "And here I
thought I would actually get some rest..." Her lips where
unmoving underneath his garb of white, the embroidered hood
hiding all but those pale appendages he formed her words with.
"Such noise around here. Don't they remember that silence is a
virtue, or has it been truly forsaken?" Seraphiel hated this
current predicament. With the Holy Father dead all hell had
broken loose throughout the heavens, Earth, and Underworld.
While Gabriel sent out their brothers and sisters, more and more
fallen dropped from the golden gates back to Earth. Seraphiel
remained dormant in her own little world, staring down towards
the world. But being awaken by the annoyance of sound, he
decided she would see what was to be done.
While no steps could be heard, Seraphiel was moving and shifting
through the cloudy floor as she approached a hearth of noise. As
Seraphiel stepped into the area where the sounds and music
crescendo to their highest point, the noise silenced as the
Angel approached. "You know. Sometimes silence become the best
prayers of all." This time, Seraphiel's voice spoke from the air
itself, her unmoving lips directly pointed at the leader of the
       heavens.
"Gabriel, Why do you weep? I find myself at a loss at this
sight. Though I do not blame you. Heavy is the head who controls
the divine." Seraphiel did not care for this. Nor did he
condone the ruckus of crying. The Sniffling, the wailing.
Seraphiel associated the noise with women and babies, both of
which she wanted to silence. "With Our Lord Father gone, This
noise is unbearable. I wish it would be quiet once more."
Seraphiel ran a finger along the marble walls, taking in the
cooling clutch of the heavenly stone. Seraphiel was an outcast
compared to the rest of angels, always off on her own instead of
associating with the rest. The noise of social interaction
always caused Seraphiel to feel uncomfortable.
"So Gabriel, how fares the reclamation of the Earth?" He didn't
speak another word as the silence passed and the sounds once
       again resumed.

"I weep for our fallen brothers, for our lost comrades, for our
father... You are fortunate to live without the great pain I
suffer through... but such is my tribulation and my trial alone"
Gabriels voice resonated like a thunderous drum in the catacomb
of white marble. Shaking free from his body as the last tears
fell free from his grip, and his prayers were concluded.
Abstaining from pain would do nothing more than disconnect him
from what was going on in the worlds, and he would not further
degrade the memory of those lost by ignoring what had been given
up for his dream of a united Divinity.
"What do you seek Seraphial, or have you simply come here to
intrude upon my reflections and prayer?" Gabriel was little more
than distracted, but his words were shrouded in an angry tone.
Hindering the peaceful resonance of the room with a barbaric
rage that had yet to be freed. The creators wrath was unending,
unyielding, and undiminished thanks to Gabriel taking up the
mantle, but he had not been able to truly punish those who went
against Divinity and the father... not yet...
Seraphial, a wandering agent of the creator; one of many who
seemed to further themselves from the cause and from the light
with each passing day. Their absolute lack of compassion, of
consideration, and a heavy heart, was the reason Gabriel had
chosen none of them for the rallying of troops on Earth. They
were great no doubt, but like Seraphial, they lacked the human
emotions required to truly commune with the discarded and the
damned. They would serve their purpose in the heavenly kingdom,
but they could not be trusted to safeguard humanity if they did
not understand the anguish a mortal could face.

"Yes, many have fallen since the transfer of command. It is
truly a sad affair, if one could say so." The echoing halls of
marble seemed to silence under the presence of the Angel. That
ear-splitting tone that recoiled off the stone walls dimming
down as quiet reflection and the embrace of peace poured from
the her still body. "Fortunate, you say? Yes. It is very
fortunate that the calculating ones such as me are left here to
watch the halls of heaven vacate their population as more fallen
decide that life in the pestilence below seems less daunting.
Earth doth seem rather trial-filled this day."
What did he seek? She simply sought what she always had.
"Silence, Gabriel. That is all I have ever sought. Quiet
reflection and the end to everything that causes people to rise
up in anger, pain, or any other emotion that causes senseless
noise." The sharp tone Gabriel fired at Seraphiel fell short of
marking the mood. The angel knowing the tone, but uncaring to
the feelings of their new leader. "Fire your emotions in another
direction. Do not waste your ire or use such timbre on me. It
would be much better focused elsewhere."
Seraphiel could feel the disdain in Gabriel towards her. An
angel who could not further the cause on Earth was no more
useful than the marble they stood in now. It would crumble under
an attack, and that is how Gabriel seemed to feel about those
who remained above, so observed Seraphiel. "What are we to do
with nothing to do? Idle hands do the Devils work, Gabriel. And
many of your brethren here in heaven are growing frivolous."
Seraphiel began his steps towards the center of the room,
       remaining perfectly muted.

Gabriel addressed Seraphiel matter-of-factly; his tone serious,
righteous, and all too tranquil for his mood, as the other
Seraph made way across the interior of the heavenly fathers last
resting place. The New-Divine ruler; Dictator as many had come
to calling him, was not in the mood for games, or spirited
discussion, or silent thought either. He was ready for war, for
battle, to end all further conflict by exacting vengeance upon
the damned without mercy. "I need not have you tell me what I
       already know"
Gabriel turned to face the approaching seraph; eyes alight with
a glorious purpose, and before the other could speak, he sighed
and waved towards the door. "If you seek silence before the
glory of heaven, and inaction over action, then you can leave
this room and head elsewhere... I have no need, or time, for
those in Divinity who are incapable of retalliating for
countless millenia of watching Earth be twisted into damnation.
If you wish to watch, and play your games, and sit idle... Then
do so at your own expense, not at mine, or this kingdoms"
When Gabriel finished he turned away from Seraphiel and admired
the scriptures etched into the walls once more. There, in those
words, those meanings, those prayers and histories, were the
consoling ideas Gabriel stood for. His entire reason for
existence was to lead the Divine kingdom down a path that the
Creator himself was unsuited for. He would rid himself of
compassion for the damned if necessary, but he would not let his
emotions stop him either way.... The war would come, and he
would strip lucifer's damned wings from his body and plant his
fetid skull on a pike before the gates of judgement...

Gabriel grimaced as he felt Detia's sudden explosion of anger,
and through it her sin. He would be constantly watching her,
anticipating failure but hoping for success, and this first
divergence from the divine path, was possibly just the first
volley in the war to come. If she could not be saved; could not
have her rage and barbarism cleansed from her soul, than no
other damned deserved even an attempt at retribution. Gabriel
still had much to see and wait for, but he hoped that Detia
wouldnt be so quick to forget the gift he had given her...

Reaching the center, Sraphiel laid her fingers once more on the
Marble Altar, looking to the scripture written on the walls of
this, the most holy of places. "Perfect silence could never be
achieved, can it?" The Angel gave a large smile that could only
be considered uncharacteristic for such a petite face as his.
"Even within the heart, there is still turmoil."
A sigh, straight from his lips echoed through the chamber as it
was uttered. "True silence will never be achieved until all rest
as the Heavenly Father does now." Seraphiel kept his eyes on
Gabriel and turned her lips up in a sharp smile as his voice
continued to sound from the depths of the hood. "Silence is the
glory of heaven. without silence, none can hope to obtain the
       privilege of the Kingdom."
Her lips moved now, taking a quick pace to approach Gabriel,
coming within feet of him, her sword appearing before him as she
leaned in against it with a bland face. "We sit idle here
because you refuse to use us, Messenger of God." The blade
vanished as Seraphiel turned once more and began her exit
       towards the open halls.
"Sent off by our great leader to wait idly til our enemies rest
at our gates. Gabriel, I wonder if you are losing your ability
to rally the troops." Seraphiel continued his walk from the
room, destined to roam the halls for a more quiet place he could
rest his head, without the interruption of the echoing screams
from the souls of those from earth. Maybe being a fallen wasn't
       as bad as it seemed.

       "We wait" Whispered Gabriel..
"Because if we act without caution, patience, and without
holding onto the virtues entrusted to us by our lord and
creator... we are no different from those heathens and brutes
       who we fight against."
His voice faded out as he spoke; not sure if Seraphiel would
hear them over the melancholy hymns and songs that drifted
between the gardens of paradise. Many angels had taken to
singing; to praying amongst one another for guidance and
strength in this, their most troubling of times, and Gabriel
would not take their connection to the creator away, to see one
Seraph happy in the absolute tranquility of silence. No, he
could not yet see their songs end or their worship interrupted.
"We must remain vigilant, strong, and capable..." He thought
"We have no other cause than to lead the people of earth upward
into the heavens and unite the two where they belong. It is for
them we were created, and through us their salvation shall be
found. In the heavenly father's name I seek only to end this
turmoil and prevent the fall of mortality to the clutches of
       evil."
His mind worked like a clock; some mechanical heart within him,
and with each new tick and tock, the flood of information he
collected was processed and analyzed. He could hear prayers,
feel sin, taste the bitter remorse and guilt that lingered on
battlefields, but worst of all, he could feel the human flock
slowly slipping from his grip. His fallen kin; those who had
been sent to Earth by his hand and the creators, were slowly
vanishing from his sight as well, and as Seraphiel had sought to
explain it. If no action was taken soon... There would be war in
the heavens and on earth. The enemy of his glorious kingdom
would come beating on the gates... Gabriel was overwhelmed by
the pressure, and the weight of his new authority and command.
Yet he still could not use his new position to do as he was
instructed... Not when there was so much to account for, and so
many who needed to be brought back into the light of eden.
Silence could wait for a bit longer, because soon the noise of
battle and war would envelop all of humanity... and possibly all
       of heaven as well..
