       Standing at the crystalline railing of the Divine Hold;
thousands of feet above the wondrous expanse of Divinity below,
looking out across all of eternity,(or so it would seem)
Gabriel: Clad in twisting fabrics of golden silk and hidden
armor of peerless construct, admired the world before his boot.
He had the heavens in his palm; the entirety of Divinity just
waiting to serve him and his conquest for order. The
would-be-king of fire and death was almost entirely powerless
now, and his minions of hatred and sin were slowly growing
weaker. He had done what his former master; what the all
powerful creator, could not do in his indecision and innaction.
He had created a more perfect human existence through his force
of power, and his unleashing of heavenly law.
Soon no demons would rise from the ashes, or work their sickly
fingers through the minds of mortals. Soon even the fallen would
be powerless to stop the ushering in of a new era. The true era
of perfection.... For it was Gabriels goal to unleash the wealth
and immaculate beauty of heaven upon the mortal world, but
before he could bring about the total transformation of the
middle-realm, he would have to purify the others by way of
inexorable law and order. Drive out the darkness with light, and
let it burn away the rotten flesh. Cauterize the seeping wounds
left by ages of demonic interference, and celestial laziness.
His eyes burned from within; glowing with a white hot desire
that could not be quenched or buried, and as he turned away from
the balcony and the overhang that looked out upon the heavenly
lands beyond, his great wings slowly unfolded from beneath his
golden garb and wrapped casually around him. He walked free from
the celestial light outside, and made his way to the chamber he
had claimed as his own.... He need not sleep, nor drink, nor
even consider resting lest he was injured in a fight with some
demon... but the room served no purpose such as a human would
understand. Instead of a bedroom, it was a glorious room full of
the creator's left-over power. The powers from creation; the
lost and forgotten words of the creator scattered through the
air and across the white marble flooring, and most importantly,
it was where Gabriel drew in these powers.
He could not exceed the master, nor ever reach the creators
great wealth of power, but there in that room he could reach out
and touch at the edges of such power, and grasp at an
understanding of its true depth. He learned daily from
"creation's memory", from the creator's last remaining seraphic
words, and with each new and enlightening experience, he grew
ever more determined to bring about complete and total harmony.
Pure peace and tranquility through absolute order and obediance.

By: Johnah Date: April 19, 2014, 10:14 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Dull white eyes looked upon the Divinity. All was quiet; Seraphs
were still healing from the great battle, and many were still
mourning the loss of their precious ones—be it either they were
slain or were blackened and Discarded from Divinity. Like many
others, Amelie lost her precious ones as well. Savir was struck
down by the blade of a dark one. He eventually died from that
wound. Serena was struck a killing blow when she was trying to
heal her own precious one: Savir. Serena and Savir were Amelie’s
most cherished ones. They raised her; cared for her; gave her
the perfect ratio of suffocating care and freedom that allowed
her to become what she was now. Amelie was saddened with their
deaths, but she wouldn’t mourn. It wasn’t the time to shed
tears—she would allow herself that privilege when the fate of
Divinity was decided; when there wasn’t that dark cloud of war
looming over their pure kingdom. Despite her resolve, thinking
about Serena and Savir became her Achilles’ heel. Seeing their
smiling faces in her head morph into hallow expressions smeared
with blood made something inside her crack, and she knew that
her resolve was chipping away little by little. Sooner or later
everything she was feeling would surface in a dangerous
storm—that was what she feared the most.
Amelie would often look out at Divinity from the balcony of her
chambers, contemplating whether or not they were doing the right
thing. It seemed wrong to banish their own kin to Earth, where
       they could fall prey to the slimy clutches of the Underworld;
however there was something that told her it was the right thing
to do. Thinking back to the day Seraphs began to descend, Amelie
noticed a glint in Gabriel’s eyes; a look of fierce tyranny yet
it was also a look of absolute sadness. Something about the way
his eyes shone told her it was the right thing to do: Amelie
didn’t believe that Gabriel was as heartless and tyrannous as
his actions made him out to be. She knew him when he was the
high seraph to the Creator. Something that pure and loving
couldn’t make such a drastic one-eighty into what he appeared to
       be now.
Sighing, Amelie pushed herself away from the crystalline balcony
and made her way back into her personal chambers. Right now,
Gabriel was gone. His omnipotent presence was gone from the
realm of Divinity, but Amelie knew he would return soon, a
feeling deep within her told her so. She awaited his return.

By: iDestroyer Date: April 21, 2014, 2:57 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Appearing like a dazzling star in the night sky; Gabriel
descended downward from above Divinity, and slowly came to rest
with both feet upon the outer courtyard. He was still quite
shocked at what Earth had to hold; this day especially, and he
had much to think about now that he had proceeded with the
creators work in a way he had never before believed possible.
"Perhaps?" He thoughts... "Perhaps salvation for some will be
possible" His eyes shone like brilliant blue oceans of intensity
as he turned his mind away from the recent events in the mortal
world, and brought himself back to the pressing matters of
gathering might for the war to come.
He had soldiers to make out of souls in heaven; needing the
assistance of each and every divine being capable of fighting
the darkness, and they had a very short amount of time to do it
all in. First he would need to gather the commanders and hand
out orders, and after that each demand would need to be met
should they stand a chance at victory. All those mortals who
attained wings and danced around heaven, would once more have to
stand against sin and fight for their continued eternity, while
those who brought them into the light and those who protected it
before them, would have to take up arms against the devil and
his minions, to once and for all end the terror of the dark
       rebellion against the creator.
However... Time worked differently in the dominion of Heaven,
and given the three month deadline on earth, Gabriel knew he had
almost nine whole months in his home to do what was necessary.
One day to rest, gather intel, and send word for all of his
commanders would not be a wasted day. So with hurried steps
leading him up into the halls of his creators inner sanctum, he
drew a young messenger over to him, and asked for Amelia to be
found and brought to his chambers. The little angelic sprite of
sorts; a soul that had lost its form over countless years of
servitude in the lord's name, took off like a rocket into the
expansive reaches of Divinity. Seeking out the one Gabriel
wanted... Someone he was going to count on for the months to
come... Someone he was going to need to be perfect if this were
       going to all work out.
He had many candidates for the task of liason; to be his eyes,
ears, and voice on earth, and yet each of them were too
indifferent to the destruction and darkness. Too many of them
were content with the creators willingness to sit idly by and
       watch the taint creep over Earth... She might feel differently;
stronger, and her emotion would be a potent ally if Gabriel were
to really succeed in uniting heaven and earth.

By: Johnah Date: April 21, 2014, 5:20 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Time went by slowly with Gabriel gone. Amelie noticed that many
were more relaxed without his overbearing presence, as if a
great weight was taken off their shoulders. Smiles seemed to
come easy to them now, hope entered their eyes; Amelie wondered
why they felt that way with their Lord gone. Did they not like
him? If they didn’t like him, why would they remain under his
rule; why didn’t they do what they thought was right instead of
suffering? At those thoughts, Amelie tilted her head to the
side, wide innocent eyes twinkling with curiosity. She knew that
if she were in their position—which she was most certainly
not—she would do what she thought was right and oppose Gabriel’s
       rule.
The area between her dark eyebrows wrinkled as they drew
together. Night had fallen, Gabriel wasn’t back, and Amelie was
returning to her chambers after a long day of helping those in
the main hub of the Divinity. The stiff white robe she had put
on that morning now hung limp against her body from the day’s
use. Once she was in her room she stripped the worn clothes from
her body and slipped into a fresh pair of night clothes: a
slightly off-white sleep dress. Amelie was an average seraph.
Her power wasn’t particularly spectacular, and she had no
specific gift. Because of that, she lived very much like a
human: she had to sleep and eat every so often to maintain her
strength, however her physical strength and endurance was far
above that of a human, and she didn’t fall ill as easily. It was
around the time she was getting into bed did the messenger
appear in her room, bouncing about as it told her the message.
Once more her brows drew together with confusion, and with quick
movements she slipped on a clean robe and began her short
journey to the one who summoned her.
Her fist rapt gently against the door the messenger led her to,
and after gaining his approval for entrance, Amelie stepped into
the room, immediately kneeling before Gabriel. Lifting her head
up to look at Gabriel, Amelie spoke. “You’ve summoned me, my
Lord?” She questioned with a voice filled with innocent trust
that flowed through her lips like satin. Worry creased her brow
as she looked up to him, straightening herself out from her bow.
Amelie was rarely ever summoned by Gabriel himself, and when she
was it was usually for important tasks. She wondered what he had
       planned for her.

By: iDestroyer Date: April 21, 2014, 8:04 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
As the young seraph entered his chambers; kneeling and speaking
from just within the doorway, Gabriel turned his gaze upon her
and motioned for her to stand. His lips did not part in speach,
and his body did not move again for what seemed like forever. He
was so lost in thought; concentrating on what need be done, that
he had already forgotten her presence had been requested. It
took him several minutes to find the details of her assignment,
buried inside the mass of other arrangements and ideas he had,
but once he had remembered what need he had for her, he began to
       address her.
Unlike when he spoke to the discarded, or the devils of the
underworld, Gabriel held a softer tone with those in Divinity.
He spoke in a gentle and yet powerful way. As if attempting to
be the father to all in his home. His gestures and features
became much more tranquil; serene even, and yet his words fell
with an inexorable finality. "Straight to the business at
hand.... " He began once he had reached the young seraph:
Standing directly in front of her and looking ever so slightly
downward into her eyes. "I seek to unite all under heaven...
This you know... but I seek to do it however possible. With that
in mind, the war for eternity soon to arrive, and with so many
of our brothers fearful of me rather than faithful, I have
decided to send you down another path.... One that could lead us
all to salvation, or one that could lead us to total
       annihilation"
He was concise, to the point, and when he turned around to walk
away, his voice rose so she could continue listening. "I have
granted a temporary pardon to one of the damned... I have given
Detia Malus" He said the name with a curious under tone: As if
forcing it into memory harder than before, and continuing
onward, he was even more focused on what needed to be done.
"Freedom on Earth til the day of judgement.... She will be as a
newborn human; baptized and fresh in the eyes of the creator...
In three mortal months, her fate shall be decided by her actions
until then. Should she truly repent, truly seek forgiveness, and
want divinity in her very soul, Absolution shall be hers......"
His gaze fell from the young seraph; questioning for an instant
what others would think of his risky endeavor, but almost
instantly the curiosity and concern was washed away by devout
certainty. "I have offered it to her so that she may serve as an
example to others of her kind... and to the discarded ones... If
they know that salvation can be theirs; if they truly see that
they are not lost, perhaps they will turn away from darkness and
join us... Its their world down there, and if they decide to
stand against us... this entire war may be lost before it
begins.... We MUST bring them back into the flock"
He took a shallow and unneeded breath; cooling the storm that
brewed inside of himself, as he allowed what he had said to
settle upon the seraph Amelia. He knew she would not question
him, and he knew she would do her duty, but he also knew that
without a reason why, she would feel as oh so many others did.
That he was simply losing his mind, losing himself... He did not
       need another possible traitor....
"I entrust you with the task of being my eyes and ears on Earth.
You shall follow Azriel; commune with him and Detia regarding
the details of his fellow discarded and their meetings with the
damned.. You will learn everything you can, from anyone you can,
and when the time comes, you will be as my voice. You will speak
for me in their presence, and you will try with all the might a
true divine being possesses, to return them to us. I entrust you
alone with this task Amelia, and should you succeed....."
Gabriel had never wanted something so badly as he wanted what he
spoke of to Amelia. He wanted Divinity to reign, to have the
mortal world brought into the folds of eternal happiness... but
to lose many of the divine lives he cared about in the
process... That was not what he wanted... IF she succeeded, and
the discarded joined back up with those who had banished them,
many lives would be spared. With that in mind, he laid out the
ultimate reward, and placed himself up for the ultimate
       sacrifice.
"Should you succeed.... I will stand trial for my crimes against
my fellow Seraphs, and openly seek their justice... I will seek
to have my wings removed, and my ties to heaven severed.... I...
" For a tense second his voice faltered and his mind was clouded
by fear, but an instant later, he was once more resolved and
determined. Continuing onward with renewed vigor and vitality.
"I will surrender my title, my place among my people, and you
shall inherit my wings... The two for mortal embrace, the two
for divine defense, and if you will it... The two to bring you
into the very presence of the creator..."
He stopped and turned from away from Amelia quickly. For not
another soul in all of Divinity knew his true depth of belief
and his willingness to do anything. No others were entrusted
with the details his will... None had ever seen him vulnerable,
and though he could not take it back, he would not let her
continue to see him that way...
So he stared off into the vastly open room of white marble and
crystal light, as he awaited her response.

       Re: Divinity
By: Johnah Date: April 22, 2014, 4:09 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Silence. Deafening silence. Minutes passed, blood pooled in her
ears and throbbed so loud she was afraid she wouldn’t be able to
hear Gabriel when he spoke—if he would speak. It was silences
like these that spoke so many words. Even without saying
anything, an immense pressure was put on Amelie’s shoulders.
Finally Gabriel looked at her. The hard contours of his face
       slowly softened.
She nodded her head, silently voicing that she knew his desire
to unite all under heaven. It was her dream too. Peace would
ensue under the watchful guard of the Divinity. Her angelic face
relaxed at his words; she felt safe knowing that he wanted to do
everything in his power to make that dream a reality; however
when he mentioned sending her down another path her mouth went
dry. He hadn’t yet disclosed any real details about her task,
and instead started on about an Avatar who was granted a
temporary pardon which only made the anxious feeling within her
       boil and bubble.
What he was doing for Detia was admirable in Amelie’s eyes.
However, she could see many frowning upon the act—not to mention
how angry Lucifer would be once he heard about the deal. It will
be a huge battle they would have to fight in, but Amelie knew
Gabriel wouldn’t send them into a battle if he thought they
wouldn’t be able to persevere. But winning that battle doesn’t
       mean they won the war.
The tone in Gabriel’s voice grew serious as he finally reached
the part where Amelie came in. Immediately her eyes widened and
her lips parted with silent protests. Doubt clouded her vision.
Would she be able to succeed? There was nothing special about
the young seraph, and she knew that. Amelie was the epitome of
average; what would an average seraph like her be able to
accomplish? However that wasn’t even the worse part in her eyes.
The offer Gabriel purposed should she succeed astonished her the
most. “Gabriel!” She objected, stepping forward and reaching out
her hand, intending to grab his arm; however her momentary
courage vanished and her hand flinched away from his being as
she shrunk back several steps. “My lord, I do not think such
things are necessary.” She objected less forcefully, her own
gaze softening as she looked at him. “Seeing all worlds consumed
with peace shall be reward enough for me. I do not need
everlasting power and authority. Watching you strip yourself of
your wings and position would only sadden me.” Her tone was—she
       hoped—reassuring.
After a few seconds of silence to gather herself, Amelie
straightened her back, tilted her head up, and stared Gabriel in
the eyes with a fierce look. “But I will accept the task. While
I don’t necessarily believe that I am the right choice for this,
I do, however, respect your wishes, and I will do everything I
can to make your desires a reality.” Giving him a bright smile,
despite the seed of doubt she felt planting itself in her soul,
Amelie pressed on. “Shall I depart to Earth immediately?”

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Gabriel hesitated; on the verge of speaking for a few moments,
while he collected his thoughts and turned to face Amelia once
more. He was certain of few things, and wary of many more, but
in Amelia he saw the possibility for more than even himself. She
bore no ill will towards humans, held no power in the heavens
from which to be corrupted or swayed, and above all else, she
was faithful to the cause, not just to him. She didnt serve out
of fear or threat, but out of conviction, and that was what
       Gabriel needed most.
As his laughter subsided and his lips parted for words, the
voice underneath his own broke loose, and it was something far
older and greater than what lay clothed and bathed in light
before the young angelic creature. Like a river it flowed
through the marble tomb they stood in, and with a force of
natural beauty and power, it crashed over both Gabriel and
Amelia with a serene warmth. For the words spoken were not just
the lord commander's, but the creator's as well...
"You, Amelia, are the perfect vessel for this task. The perfect
combination of heavenly brilliance, and mortal confusion. You do
not seek glory or power for yourself, but you seek peace
instead. That alone would be enough to see you lifted into true
grace, but that alone is not enough for you to carry out this
job... No, you are entrusted with this task because you are...
ordinary... average... You are accepted by your comrades, loved
by your friends, and you have no quarrel with yourself. You have
attained peace like so few before you, and that is why you are
going to be Earth's guardian angel in this time of need."
Gabriel's voice drifted inward and outward; seeming to ebb and
flow like the tides as he moved around the room and addressed
the young celestial. His robes swayed in an unnoticed breeze, as
he pointed to the far end of the room: The doorway into
       Divinity, and continued onward.
"You do not wish to attain my power, and for that reason, you
have earned it when the time comes. You do not want me to be
forgotten or dismissed, but that is my choice. This war, this
great strife and time of tribulation shall end as it always
should have. For better or worse, my mind is made up, and
nothing can take that from me. You are a child of the heavens, a
watcher of Earth, an immortal being of the stars, and you are a
friend to those who do not yet know you... Go from here as you
entered; certainty and conviction present in your heart, and
know that you hold a great power inside of yourself the likes of
which I can not ever hope to surpass... Go from here and spread
the power of your faith, of your beliefs, of your purity... Show
it to those who have forgotten, let it guide you, and when the
time comes, return to me and we shall discuss the future
       together..."
Turning away from her one last time, Gabriel wiped away a
miniscule tear that had nearly fallen, and caught his breath. He
was sure she would succeed where he could never, and yet the
fear of failure was always present. He would have to repent, to
seek forgiveness for his lack of devotion and conviction, but
right there in that moment, the fear lived and breathed inside
of him. Like fire it scorched his soul and sent shivers down his
spine... He would quell it in time, but before then there was
work to be done, and lives on the line.
"Remember Amelia... be yourself... stay true to yourself and
your faith... Stay strong in the face of danger... and believe
       that you can succeed"
The great seraph knew she would be confused; perhaps scared
even, and he would not condemn her for that. She would be
venturing into unknown waters with predators all around. There
would be difficulties and hardships along the way... but he
trusted that she could fulfill her destiny and gather those he
       could not...

Amelie’s heart jumped in her throat when Gabriel began to speak,
pale orbs widened with surprise. Never before would she have
ever dreamed of hearing the beautifully pure words wash over her
as if the Creator himself were speaking to her. Goosebumps rose
on her skin, the hair on the back of her neck stood straight,
tears prickled behind closed eyelids. Amelie bowed her head.
The words spoken made her spirits soar, and when she finally
opened her eyes and looked up at him, she was captivated by the
wholesome elegance that was his being. His voice floated through
her head, ingraining itself forever in her mind. What he said
stirred so many emotions within her she could only hang on to
every word he said as if it would be the last thing she would
       hear. Once more the emotion made tears prickle in her eyes;
however she didn’t try and hold them back; and as her attempts
to dry her eyes was stopped, several tears trailed down her
round face, her hands making no move to wipe them away.
The challenge ahead of her was great: she’d be entering the land
where the Divine, Discarded, and the Avatars could gather. With
Earth being the only place all three could go, Amelie feared
Earth becoming the battleground for their ugly war—she feared
the war in general. She did not want the feud to go as far as
mercilessly killing one another, but something deep within her
told her that it would most likely end that way, and she would
fight when the time comes. Fight with all the power her average
       body contained.
With Gabriel turned away, Amelie got to one knee and grabbed his
fingers like a child – something she had never done before. It
was a means to show her affection towards him; to show her
gratitude, her determination, and if he were to look back at
her, she would beam a tear-stained smile at him. “Gabriel,” She
began informally with a voice barely above a whisper,
straightening to her full height while at the same time
engulfing the rest of his large hand in her small one, “I
promise that I will do everything in my power to succeed.” She
paused, thinking back to how reminiscent his words were to the
Creator’s—how much hope and confidence they gave her. “The
Creator’s will lives through you, Gabriel, I can feel it in my
very soul.” She said, giving his hand a soft squeeze. “Many
people think that what you’re doing is wrong, and for that they
despise you. But I feel that… that you’re intent is pure. That
is why I stay loyal to you—and will remain loyal to you, even
when you step down from your position. You’ve taken on something
that, if anything were to go wrong, could lead to the
destruction of Divinity. Not many people acknowledge that, but
know that I do, Gabriel.” Soft pink lips curved into a smile as
she looked at him, and soon her hand fell away from his and she
took several steps closer to the door. Amelie wouldn’t yet leave
until Gabriel dismissed her, and as she waited for his word she
made a mental checklist of things she would need for her
       journey.

Gabriel let Amelia walk away without a word; his eyes closed to
fight off the pain and discomfort of feeling so much all at
once. It was something the creator had warned him about; the
depth of his emotions no longer limited, and it was something he
fought through each and every time he was made a villain in the
eyes of his kin. He would succeed in his task, not to make them
proud, or to make them happy, but because he had to, and all he
could hope for was even the slightest bit of recognition from
those he cared for. When it was all over, when the war was gone
and done with, he would leave Divinity behind and seek to be
       entirely forgotten.
He knew Amelia waited at the edge of the doorway, but he could
not bring himself to look upon her. His eyes filled with unseen
tears, and his heart seemed to ache with the words she had left
flitting through his mind. Such sincerity and sweetness, and
such purity in a creature... Gabriel had thought such honest
perfection no longer existed, and he regretted ever having
thought so. He had chosen right; the perfect being for the job
of securing Divinity on Earth, and yet he was scared... For
her... For what she would face, and what she would have to
       endure.
He could not take it upon himself and try to succeed for her,
but he would watch over her like any father should. He would not
let her linger too long in the darkness, and he would not let
the hands of damnation come to touch her beauty. Not while he
still lived... So with a light wave of his hand to address her,
Gabriel gave the go ahead to leave, as he placed another hand
against the cold marble wall before him, and began to pray. His
voice carried into the room around him, but was quickly lost to
a whirlwind of varied tones and sounds. Unmistakeable heavenly
music swept up his prayers and wrapped him in a flowing veil of
noise as he wept and sought forgiveness.
Soon would be the end for him... Whether by his own doing, or by
the blade and will of another... But he would not see Divinity
fall without his life being given up first...
