Re: Is There More to Life? - Role Play

"Once a week. Yeah. That could work." Elizabeth agreed with
Bryant. She reluctantly understood that may be the most they
could both muster within their busy schedules. She dropped the
rest of the conversation as she felt reality start to hold a
firm grasp upon her heart. Every minute which ticked away
brought the pair closer to their impending reality. Liz
attempted to direct her attention on the movie, laughing when
called for, or gasping during the rare intense moments. She
fought tremendously hard to remain distracted for the duration
of the movie. Her distraction techniques must have worked for,
when the movie reached near its conclusion, the timer went off
for the lasagna. "I'll grab it." Liz moved from her rather
comfortable position and walked to the kitchen to remove the
lasagna from the oven. She placed it on the counter to allow it
to set before serving. During this time, Liz busied herself by
setting the table and getting drinks for the pair. She grabbed
the plates and served the meal. "Dinner's ready. I hope you
enjoy it." She smiled and sat at the table to enjoy this
homemade evening meal.

Having agreed to try to make a schedule work, Bryant was
content. It wasn't until that buzzer went off, that he
remembered they were actually waiting on something. He got up
and followed Liz to the kitchen, and took a seat at the table.
"It smells delicious." He told her, as the dish made it's way to
the table. He took a sip of his drink, and made plates for the
two of them. After a silent prayer, he took his first bite.
"It's great! he said excitedly. He hadn't known what to expect,
since she had never cooked him anything. "I'm impressed!"
Another sip of wine. "Do you have your schedule yet?" He asked,
thinking about when they would be able to fit in their weekly
visits. The3y would have to figure something out, after all.

Elizabeth pulled out a chair and sat down where Bryant placed
her delicious looking plate of lasagna. One bite and her taste
buds soared into a heavenly place. She took a sip of wine. The
magnificent pairing pleasantly tickled her taste buds. "I'm glad
you're enjoying the meal! It looks like the practice I had over
the break paid off." Liz chuckled slightly as she recalled the
relaxing days passed by. Her parents practically forced her to
make dinner on the nights she remained home. For once, Liz felt
grateful for endless hours spent in the kitchen. It pleased
Bryant therefore it made her perfectly content. Her thoughts
turned back to their current matter at hand as he mentioned her
upcoming schedule. "Mmm. Yes, I know I have it. I can check my
phone's calendar to see the exact times. I take it you know
yours?" She inquired. Every minute they became closer to the
semester beginning, the more she wanted to ignore it. Liz had a
nice time not thinking about work or studying for the next test.
She wished to continue this life but knew that was not an
option. She continued eating her meal as she attempted to keep
such thoughts at bay.
