I eagerly listened to each of the words spoken by the deep and
sultry voice of the man in front of my eyes. His words, his
stories, held validity to a point. I began to become confused as
he spoke of shadow people and apparitions. I took this feeling
as not knowing what Vincent was discussing and thus dismissed
what he said. "Your words have partial validity. I believe no
woman should be degraded to the level the man whores of the city
treat the prostitutes. Some males merely are only and looking
for a good time. While I do not approve of women selling
themselves for sex, they need to make a living and some men just
need to be with someone. However, yes, I do protect the ladies
of the night by frightening some of your gender. Some women do
not appreciate what I accomplish but others due and they show me
kindness. Those are the women I wish I could somehow give the
world. Give them better jobs so they don't experience
degradation." I sighed, realizing my words not only dragged on
but also were filled with emotion I did not intend for this
stranger to listen. "Apologies."
Leaning back into the love seat, I formulated just what details
I wanted this stranger to know about my life. Perhaps I should
start with my death? I didn't fell completely comfortable
dishing everything about my life before death. "For everything
you share I will share a single fact with you. My death was not
on accident nor was it of natural causes. Murder." A shudder
overtook my body as I recalled the details of the night of my
death. That night was the one moment in time I wanted feverishly
to forget.
