Roza & Reece.
By: lexis Date: December 3, 2013, 11:44 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Jadia's yipping was what dragged Roza from sleep, dark eyes
opening to send a glare at her pup, then at the clock beside
her. She groaned; it wasn't even six in the morning.
She rolled out of bed, wincing slightly when her feet touched
the cold wood of her bedroom floor, and made her way to the
bathroom. She stared into the mirror; taking in the lightly
tanned skin, dark straight hair, brown eyes. Her eyes caught
onto the piercings of her face: the three arching around her
left eye, the bar through the middle of her lower lip. She
looked down at her half naked body, a proud grin forming as she
took in the many tattoos that covered her small, 5 foot body.
This is what got her in the modeling business; her bold look,
the playful smiles, her beauty all paid her rent. Without her
face she would be just Another drunk Irish girl.
She ran a brush through her hair and threw on a hoodie along
with some jeans, then grabbed the chain leash for her husky pup
and went outside for a walk. Jadia sniffed and padded along the
street, happily wagging her tail while Roza hugged her arm
around herself to keep away the cold, mumbling about the cold
and watching the clouds of smoke form and disappear. She got to
a park and, after closing the rusty gate behind her, let Jadia
loose to play and sat down on a swing, humming to herself while
Jadia chased the little animals running about the old, nearly
forgotten park.

"Titus!" Reece's voice reached the woods behind his apartment
building and then bounced back, taunting him. Jaw muscle
tightening in annoyance, the twenty-one year old shrugged into
the gray zip-up jacket draped over the recliner before walking
promptly towards the parkinglot. He caught a blob a black and
brown darting to the right in his peripheral vision towards the
park located only a block's walk from his apartment. Reece
wasn't sure if the park was owned by the same person who owned
the apartments, or if the park was city-owned; either way, he
doubted neither of those people wanted a big scary dog scaring
off little kids. The boy looked down to his white designer's
watch; five-thirty. At least no kids would be out and about this
time of day. Letting his jog drop to a fast paced walk, Reece
gripped the leash in his left hand tighter. Goosebumps pimpled
his bare-arms and through the thin material of the white wife
beater he had on, his tanned stomach was covered as well. 'So
much for the obedience trial..' he muttered beneath his breath
as he neared the edge of his parking lot. Three sharp barks put
Reece on edge, pace quickening back to an awkward jog. From
where he was, Reece was able to see the large Doberman easily
jump the child-holding fence that surrounded the park. At least
he'll be ready for the agility test...

Roza wasn't afraid of much; especially not dogs, though she
didnt expect to hear a larger dogs barking in the park that
rarely anyone but herself ever visted-she really didn't expect a
large blur of a dog to run straight for her on the swing. It was
a big dog, but Jadia, that loyal little ball of gray fluff, was
yipping and growling at the big dog as it tackled a started Roza
off of her rickity swing. Then came the licking. Roza let out a
small yell, trying not to laugh while the strang dog attacked
her face with its tongue-she didn't know why dogs liked her so
much, but they always had, and this one wasn't proving to be
much differentt han others.

There was not even the slightest bit of worry that Titus would
hurt whoever was occupying the swings intentionally, but
considering the his large stature, Reece had been knocked into
walls many times with a gentle shove of the hellacious hound. As
soon as Reece noted that it was a small girl Titus had knocked
off the swing, Reece's brows furrowed angrily, finger snapping
only once. "Lass es!" Titus's head snapped up, whining quietly
before backing away from the girl, whom he now could see was not
a girl at all. Being in tournaments with Titus, Reece had taken
it upon himself to learn a select few German words, basic
commands for dogs. He felt it was much easier to control the
dog, as well as being the only one able to control him. "Geh
rein. Now!" The boy pointed towards the apartment building and
Titus was off, hopping the fence and sulking back towards the
apartment. Every few feet he would slow, twist his neck to see
if Reece was following, and then trudge on until finally, he
disappeared into the house. Very seldom did Titus disobey him,
so when he did it sort of surprised Reece. Attention now turning
back over to the woman now on the ground, Reece side-stepped
another swing and bent down to help her up. "I'm so sorry, I
don't know what got into him." He turned to look at the open
door as if the dog were there. "Did you hurt anything?" Sea
green eyes assessed the situation, but there wasn't much he
could see with the jacket over her.

Roza was only a little startled by the male voice she heard, too
preoccupied with covering her face with her hands to stop the
dog from completely slobbering her face. Jadia had given up
barking, deciding to sit by Roza's head and keep the bigger dog
under watch. Roza was still giggling as the dog backed off,
wiping her face with her sleeve and continuing to just lay back
on the wood chips that littered the ground, only really focusing
on anything when her eyes were drawn to a pair bright, green
eyes. "I'm fine, lad." She murmured, her Irish brogue strong as
she slipped a small, cold hand into his own and let him help her
up. She reached behind her to brush off all of the chips that
clung to her pants, then removed her hoodie to shake off the
wooden offenders. After slipping the hoodie back over her head,
she started the task of removing the wood chips from her hair; a
task she would have to wait to fully complete on her own until
she got home, but ran her fingers through her hair anyway-hair
that was only a few centimeters short of touching her butt.

Reece caught on quick, instantly distinguishing the accent as
Irish. He'd always found them rather goofy- mainly due to the
accent portrayed on shows and movies. Despite much of the crumby
accent-jobs he'd heard on T.V, hers was thick and true. "Cute
pup," he commented, eyes not budging from the woman. Reece had
taken spanish in highschool, but with only a week of the class
under his belt both him and his buddy had dropped it quicker
than a hot potato. The good ol' Boston accent would always be
hidden beneath every word he said, though the boy had dimmed it
down to it only coming out when he was drunk. "Do you normally
have a set time at five in the morning to come here and swing?"
Of course his tone was light, joking. Although his step brother,
Britton, woke up every night around three (if he was asleep by
then) and took a cigarette around the block, finishing up just
as he walked into the door. Every night. Maybe there was someone
waiting on him at the other side of the building, or maybe he
was just weird like that. Either way, there was still no reason
to be at the park at five in the morning.

Roza ruffled Jadia's ears lovingly, giving a small smile, one
hand still running through her pin-straight hair. "Jadia is'er
name." At his question, her face turned a bit red, though she
knew he was joking. "Jadia is a bloody alarm clock, wake me up
whenever she does." She attempted to water down her brogue a
bit, something she still had to concentrate on doing. "Letting
her loose to be a dog at a park no one ever really comes to
seems like an easy way to let her do her...eh, business. And
swinging is how I dodder-er, waste time." Her eyebrows drew
together and she scratched the back of her head. "English is a
difficult language sometimes." She almost felt rude, going on
and on without introducing herself-but she was "Roza the model",
she didn't want to deal with another fan at five in the morning
if he happened to know of her.

With the dim street light a few yards away Reece could make out
most of the woman's features; dark, long hair, multiple
piercings, a cute round face. This girl could be a model. As she
went on to explain her dog's inconvenient 'potty times', his
interest for her grew. Anybody that was a dog lover was
acceptable in his book. Reece put a great deal of time and
effort into his two dogs, Titus and Zoya, giving them the proper
training to become champion dogs. Zoya, a borzoi, was a tall,
slender show dog that he traveled around the world with to
different competitions; Titus tagging along to be entered in any
agility tournaments that were held near Zoya's competitions.
Only once had the beautiful purebred lost a competition, and
that was to another, jet-black borzoi. It was a very upsetting
day to claim second place, and neither him nor Zoya like to
speak of it. Titus was the reigning champ wherever her went,
however, the only dog coming close to tying with him being a
gray hound from Tennessee.
"I'm Reece," he declared, hand reaching up to rub his eye
tiredly before extending to offer a handshake. "Pleasure to meet
you, despite the time." The boy offered a warm smile, pearly
white teeth the brightest thing on his face now. This girl was a
beauty for sure; he'd definitely make an effort to see her
around more often- even if that meant visiting the park early in
the morning. Reece was smoked cannabis on a daily basis. For
how long his apartment door had been open, the entire building
probably knew he smoked by now. "Do you hit the pipe?" Beating
around the bush had gotten Reece nowhere in life, so being blunt
was the path he'd decided to take a long time ago. There was
still a rather meaty bag laying on his coffee table at home,
waiting to be smoked, and he could definitely use a smoking
buddy.

As she slipped her hand into his again, tilting her head back
just the slightest to maintain eye contact, she silently
acknowledged how much bigger he was than herself. Though, most
people were bigger than her five feet of height, a height she
accepted now that she wouldn't be growing anymore at age twenty.
She debated telling him her name for just another moment; if he
hadn't recognized her yet, a name wouldn't make a difference.
"Roza," she said, still murmuring. She had never really been
loud like her brothers and father, though she did pick up their
drinking habits, an alcoholic at age 15, she had been trying to
control the urge since she started modeling-more so her agent
locked her in a room to deal with her own hangovers while
blasting the loudest music he could to bring Roza away from the
habit. She shrugged at his next question, catching her lower lip
between her teeth to think it over. "I 'ave honestly never tried
et," she gave a little, devilish grin "Alcohol has always been
me thing..but I've no objection to trying it."

Reece hadn't ever tried keeping up with the latest gossip, the
he said she said story, or evene the latest models; however, he
did recall someone mentioning a Roza a few days ago...Something
about how she was addicted to alcohol, yet she was still as
beautiful as ever. This woman could very well fit that
description. Either way, he was hoping she'd accept his
invitation to smoke- she was beautiful, and it was getting nippy
outside. "Well, there's a first time for everything." Reece's
lips spread across his features like wildfire, cheeks pushing up
against his eyes to create a sort of glowing look. Running his
cold-tipped fingers through the hay-yellow, short hair, Reece
sniffed quietly before back stepping towards the gate, half
guessing that she was going to say yes. Reece wasn't much of a
drinker- just an avid smoker. Being drunk wasn't his cup of tea;
now being stoned, on the other hand, made his days mostly.
