       Koliam and Misheru
By: Keo Date: November 13, 2013, 6:36 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
She listens silently, nodding every so often to let Koliam know
that she was still paying attention. Her eyes followed his hand
before becoming transfixed with the twig floating above his
hand. "So the ones who use the Force for bad, are the Sith. Yet
those who use it for good are Jedi. Simple enough to follow. But
what about those who do not know if they are meant for either
path? Is there a type of grey area where they can try and figure
out which side is for them? Or is it straight black and white?"
Reaching her hand out for the twig, she shakes her head before
dropping it back to her side. "I cannot take the twig from you,
only because it would not be fair to you. I never did tell you
what my clan was. And if I did, you wouldn't want to play the
keep away game." Chuckling softly, she looks to his face with a
slightly dark gaze before allowing it to lighten a second later.
"Unless you want a true game of keep away to teach me how the
force is used by the Jedi....."

She refused? She had seemed so eager up until this point, and
truth be told he couldn't help but just frown slightly from
disappointment. Did she fear harming someone to that degree?
Perhaps it would've been a good Trait as a Jedi if not for the
need to take a life for the greater good. But, all the same,
maybe it could be trained? Perhaps she could use her skill in a
way to not harm, but assist? Unless she meant a form of control
       over another being, in which that was a basic trait of a Jedi;
the "mind control" aspect of the Force.
"You seem so worried about it, Misheru," he said with a slightly
grim gaze. "Perhaps your skill had gotten you into trouble? I
assure you it won't be so much of a burden if we were simply
       training."
Still, he kept his hand outstretched, the twig floating above
with a lazy sort of drift to it's slow spin. His body kept
still, relaxed, as if always light and ready to move though it
seemed as if he found no need to do so at all. There were many
facets to the Force, and he would demonstrate them all if he had
to, but for now he would only stick to just a few. There wasn't
a need for unnecessary roughness if there was no true intent to
       harm, after all.

"I am worried because I do not know if our game will end in my
harming you by accident. It has happened before and I will not
allow it to happen again. I am sorry but I do know how to
harness the energy that lies within and outside of the body. I
am from a family of dragons, each controlling their own element
when in human form. I have the ability to control water/ice."
Looking away for a second, she waits to see if he wished to make
a comment, only because almost every person has the need to.
"I can understand if you wish to abandon trying to show me the
force as the Jedi use it. I promise that it will be no scratch
on my emotions." Her gaze remains transfixed on the ground as
she listens. Though the sound of the branch lazily dangling in
the air caused a small, almost inaudible swish as it turned ever
       so slightly.

Dragons? Was that what this world called the Elementalists that
resided here? It would be quite the name to strike fear into an
enemy, seeing as it hearkened back to the towering, wise winged
behemoths of lore, but was that all it was? It was curious how
she also assumed that perhaps he would retreat after such a
"revelation." Strange to think that their culture allowed such a
thing, but then again he had to respect it. It was not his own
and therefore he didn't know it's ways, so he could not judge
       heads or tails.
But his personal beliefs were the ones to speak.
"Why would I abandon someone who wishes to learn?" he asked,
raising a brow in curiosity as he scratched the back of his
head. "Surely you're willing to learn, so why deny you? No one
should be denied a chance to better themselves for the greater
       good. Right?"

"You are one of the few who see it as that. Thank you for not
turning from me," reaching her hand out once more, a soft smile
pulls at the corners of her lips as she takes a step forward to
see how the training will start, "but not all Elementalists are
dragons. Just my family." Looking from his eyes to the stick and
back, she tries to focus on his movements without showing what
her next move will be. Something about him, probably the fact
that he actually cared to teach one who most thought to be
unteachable, caused her to wonder if there was a way to be
accepted in the crazy world that she resided in.
"What have you heard about dragons and Elementalists? I'm
curious about how others view what I am." Her eyes, now focused
on his, relight their curious fire as her steps become smaller
and more careful as she still tries to remove the stick from his
       hand without his knowledge.

As if he didn't notice that she had been shuffling just a little
closer? For now, he supposed he would be simply nonchalant and,
for a lack of better term, ignorant of the happening, only
pacing a little towards his left, allowing his right shoulder to
turn away from her so the stick would now be farther away. Her
goal was to take it from him - yes, but she had to be clever. it
would've been clever if he hadn't already attuned himself to
everything around him - part of that having been her when he
did, but it was already too late to be minuscule about one's
movements. She'd have to take it from him without physically
       doing so.
As he paced towards what had been his right before, Koliam
raised his left hand to tap his index finger against his lips,
as if thinking of ways to answer her questions when already he
had the answers. He was only dragging out the exercise and, of
course, stalling until she got the idea about how to take it
       from him.
"Well, honestly, haven't heard a thing about the Dragon
Elementalists. I supposed the word 'Dragon' was likened to the
word 'Jedi' in the sense that we have skills others do not, or
maybe it's a ranking. Am I right or farthest from the truth?"

With a soft nod, she stops in her tracks and drops her hand back
to her side. This won't be easy, but it will be well worth the
challenge. He had noticed the small steps, ones that normal
people would overlook in a second because they are use to not
having to look for them. Moving her right hand behind her back,
she stands almost military style in front of him, her index
finger twirling in a small circle to begin forming a small ball
of ice. To play his game was to be cunning instead of straight
forward, this much was obvious, but how cunning would each have
to be to outwit the other?
"I don't think so, I am a beast of legend, large and strong
though my wings are not as most would imagine. Most
Elementalists are in a way like the Jedi, able to manipulate the
forces around them, but not all can master everything. Though
the line of black and white are just as pronounced with
Elementalists and dragons. To use one's powers for selfish gains
is almost always for the dark side and to use one's powers for
the good of others is almost always for good." A soft shrug
passes her shoulders as she looks away for a second.

So she got one of the hints. She had stopped her advancing and
instead chose to be still, but the way she stood could almost
seem sneaky. There was no need between the two of them to be so
unifrom and stiff, so there was obviously something wrong. That
and a disturbance in the force - something being introduced in a
way that didn't come naturally (though he couldn't tell what)
was almost enough to hint she was starting to get a grip on what
was needed. So it seemed her use of the Force manifested in
something other than the way he used it. There was the force as
the Jedi used it, then something akin to lightning as the Sith
used. So what was this? What she spoke about before about
       utilising water and ice?
       This would be interesting.
During the time she began to speak, Koliam himself allowed a bit
of time to show off. He was listening intently as is, but as he
listened, one could feel a certain...energy surround the area.
Slowly rotating counter-clockwise to the way the twig moved in
his hand, but also closing in towards his body. It started
around both of them, but as it came closer, it would most
assuredly make itself known if it hadn't already. Hair would
whip in ways that, if it was quite long, would obstruct vision,
or maybe catch excessively long clothing such as cloaks or
       dresses billow or twist.
"A wonder of the mythic world, then, eh? Dragons are in fact
real? And it seems as if the Dragons take on a similar set of
       tenets that mirror the Jedi."

Taking a small step back from the swirling wind blowing in her
hair into her face and her dress around her ankles. He started
using his form of the force, causing the air around the two of
them to stir rapidly. Lightly tossing her ice ball so that it
floated at the small of her back, she takes her hands and
fashions a hair tie out of ice to hold her hair back. This just
might prove to be a harder task than expected. Reaching behind
her back once more, she throws the small ball of ice toward the
middle of the stick before stepping backwards.
Returning to a more relaxed stance, her left hand begins playing
with her ponytail as she watches, hoping to make some type of
contact to knock it off its path and into the circling wind. If
so, she knew how to bring it closer to herself, but she just
needed it to spin into the wind first.
"Dragons and Jedi can be mirrors of each other in a way. Though
most dragons do not possess the power to control an element
other than fire. My clan was interesting in our mix of different
types of dragons and elements. Giant ones that could dwarf the
tallest building, those were the elders like my father. I was a
smaller one but I have a way of changing forms when I am in my
       true form."

It appeared that, whatever she had been doing, perhaps she did
in fact have the aptitude to multitask with what abilites she
had. That, at least, was a good thing. It meant that there
wouldn't be the need for overly-extensive training. It almost
reminded him of the days when, as just a child, he had been
exposed to the wonders of The Force and all the things which
could be done with it. Push, pull, control, conceal, shock,
stupify - it was all new to him, and just like all others, he
gained his knowledge of The Force - albeit slow, but it had only
made him that much more in tune. After all, we all couldn't be
       the next Luke Skywalker.
The ball of ice that hurled towards the stick had brought him
out from his thoughts, and as if the rage of the wind around
them had just been pushed to its breaking point, all of the
enegy that swirled around them suddenly rushed forth, slamming
against the ball of ice with such strength that it would surely
obliterate the object. He, however, was no fool, and would
promptly relocate himself twenty feet to the left of where the
ball of ice had been moving - and where it would likely meet his
Force Push - so he could settle with a small, contented smile.
"Wonderful," he said with a bit of glee in his voice. "I would
love to see all else that you can do with such a form of control
over the elements! And, if you'd have it to be so, it would be
my pleasure to take you in as my Padawan, if by chance your
interest would continued to be piqued. The way of the Jedi may
in fact suit you since the Dragons of this land take on a mirror
       of the Code."
