A sigh of frustration was her only response to the God's refusal
to remove his spell. Enyo did not enjoy being toyed with, the
messenger god Hermes learned this the hard way. An arrow through
the eye tends to ruin fun for anyone. Why must this god, Esu, be
so infuriating. She was a goddess of warfare. Her purpose was
simply that, warfare; and this man before her was attempting to
stifle her purpose in this world.
"There will always be fighting, it is engrained into human
nature. If it weren't, I would not exist. They fight for land
and power, gold and slaves, and they will never stop fighting.
We as gods wish for them to find peace, but we have given them
free will, at least that is how things are in Greece." Enyo
watched the man warily now. She wasn't certain if she would
return to Greece or not. But, if she didn't, where else would
she go. If there were other gods here, could there be others
around the world?.
The road before her led towards a body of water, fresh water
from the smell in the air. Enyo knew the man would follow her,
which is why she chose to answer him. "I do not know my purpose
for being in these lands, merely that I have a purpose,"she
paused for a moment to gather her thoughts. "I found myself
here, in your domain, because I was fleeing my brother. Ares is
very violent when he is angry and has a tendency to take his
anger out on any near by. I happened to be the one near when he
unleashed his latest fit of rage." Her golden eyes snuck a
glance at the handsome, dark-skinned god before returning to the
water. "If I had been human, I would have died. When he was
finished beating me, I was unrecognizable. Three days and three
nights passed before I was fully healed. It is difficult to
fight the god who is the personification of war."
The sand beneath her feet was soft, though not near as soft as
the sands in Greece. The water was not as blue either, but it
was still cool to the touch. "Why do you think we are not aware
of one another, Esu? Why is it that gods cannot sense others
around the globe? This world is vast, surely there cannot be
many gods residing over it. That would be asinine" Enyo stole
another glance at the strange god. "That other one, the goddess
that was attempting to intimidate me, is she your mother? I did
not mean to offend her, I merely am not accustomed to beings
sneaking up on me."

Artemis found herself in a land she had never seen before. It
was beautiful; lush and would no doubt be wonderful hunting
grounds for her when she wasn't fulfilling the wishes of Ares,
but it also held this power. It radiated off of the lands,
demanding submission. That power she had only ever experienced
when she was with the other Grecian Gods and Goddesses. Brows
furrowed together, but she pressed on, in search of Enyo. Being
the goddess of hunt, it would be easy for Artemis to track down
Ares's sister, so he sent her instead of going himself. Jaws
clenched. "Lazy bastard," she muttered under her breath,
narrowing her eyes as if she were looking at Ares instead of a
tree. If he hadn't sent her, she could be hunting right now.
It's been so long since she had enough time to have a decent
hunt, and that was all she wanted after the war.
Finally spotting the woman she was hunting, Artemis called out
to her. "Enyo!" She quickly bounded up to the woman, clad in a
leather hunting suit; tight fitting pants and a vest top. She
paid no mind to the man she was talking to, but she did pay mind
to the power pouring off of him like blood. "Ares sent me," She
sneered, rolling her eyes just at the thought of him. "He asks
for your return," She added. They both knew Ares doesn't ask,
but why not exaggerate a little bit to get the job done faster?
After several moments of looking at Enyo, Artemis finally
glanced at the ebony man, a single brow raised in question.

Èṣù listened respectfully to what Enyo had to say about
human nature being ground in violence. He didn't argue with her,
for her statement very well could be true. But he did want to
ask her a question about it. "You may be right." He began. "War
may be the very foundation of human nature. But as a Goddess of
Warfare, what is your role? Are you a facilitator of War? Or are
you a guide? Do you extend war, and increase it's casualties, or
do you lead man to use that free will to find a better path?" He
picked up a stick and walked over to the water. "Water will
always flow on the easiest path before it." With the stick, he
moved a large rock from the side of the river, and the water
split into two different paths. "But if you show it a new path,
it may just change it's ways."
Èṣù felt that Enyo's superiors may have failed to give her
a role as "Goddess of Warfare." That being the case, she did
what came naturally. She fought. No one could blame her for
that. But they -could- Show her another way. "No, she's not my
mother." He told Enyo, as he looked to the sky, trying to figure
out what exactly he would call her. "I guess you could say she's
a friend of mine..." He decided that Oya's relationship with his
mother was their business. He then pointed down the path of the
river. "My mother is actually just down there. She is the keeper
of Rivers." He explained.
"The role of a God is not to command. It's to protect. Humans
are capable of making the right decisions, if just given a
little guidance." Èṣù's explanation was cut off by the
arrival of another pale skinned immortal. She quickly addressed
Enyo, saying that she was sent by someone named "Ares."
"Another Olympian?" He asked Èṣù, already knowing the
answer. He returned the woman's glance, eyes full of the
confidence of a God. He then turned back to Enyo. "If you are to
be leaving now, I hope you will take what I have said with you.
And may your reign come to find even greater accomplishment."

A tear from Olorun's eye cause the sky to cry tears upon the
earth, this was an sadden day. An earthquake had taken several
life's that could of been prevented if Olorun's oath of never
interfering with natural foramina .Nature had it's own way of
justice an Olorun had to respect it like it or not . Many weep
as they saw there love once corps laying motionless , Many
would cross over and be welcome with open arms while others
would have to pay for there sins when they where living on
earth. His people prayed for answers but an answer wasn't given
. They would have to learn how to grieve and move on , but the
souls that did cross over would be treated well .

Oya stretched across her bed as the time passed at a rather slow
pace. Never had the goddess been able to lay around without a
purpose. It drove her mad to decline the busy nature which she
could not seem to tame. Unable to take the silence that
transformed her bedroom into a prison, she vanished and
reappeared by the god, Olorun. His sorrowful demeanor threw her
thoughts off course and made her puzzled. Peering down across
the area, she recognized misery and gloom though it did not
affect her in such a way it did him.
There were always gaps and cracks in the human mind where
explanation ran short. They prayed only out of need or want and
even more so during times like these. It angered her at times to
hear them curse the gods and then after a disaster they were on
their knees begging the same gods they mocked or disrespected.
Still, there were those who found the broken path to her dusty
heart but it took allot to stir her interest.
"You mourn for them," she inquired softly. "Would they mourn for
us in the same manner? Or would they enjoy seeing those who
reign over them suffer as they do?"
It was more of a rhetorical question than anything; one she
asked herself aloud. A sigh brushed her lips as the goddess
aroused a breeze to sweep across the brows of the men and women
working to clean up the mess.

He listen to the women carefully , every word that escape her
lips calibrated through his ear."You are beautiful and
Intelligent beyond age but yet you don't see the bigger picture
. All you see is the evil in them ,you bash them for there flaws
and belittle them for there failures.. I can not draw a picture
or explain it to you , you have to live long as I have to see it
and only then you will truly see what I see in the human race."
An question with a question was the best answer he give to the
women .I kiss was place on the top of Oya's forehead for
attempting to be considerate "I mourn for them cause I
understand the struggles they go through , They damn us cause in
there eyes if they where in our place they think they could
prevented it but like you they don't understand a mind of a god
like you don't understand a mind of human. But they praise to us
not just if they need something, cause they believe in hope ,
and that reason alone my dear is why I will never down them as
just humans.

Oya smiled sadly at his words. Olorun had misinterpreted her
words and thoughts for judgments. Despite having lack of
sympathy for the race, the goddess did not think badly of them
for simply being who they were. The goddess sighed at the kiss
bestowed on her forehead which caused her mood to dampen that
much more. Where was her husband?
"Perhaps you are correct," she responded without attempting to
explain herself.
The humans continued to bustle but she was completely lost in
thought and no longer paid them any mind. After a few moments of
silence, Oya glanced to the west as a large lightning show took
place. Some humans took notice but it aroused fear in most of
them. Still, there were a select few who held courageous spirits
and understood the gesture and watched in awe. Once the
lightning ceased, the goddess permitted the breeze to pick up so
that the day was cooled for the busy people.

The god had struck a chord within her, simply by asking her
role. Enyo had never contemplated her role in war, merely that
she was following her brother's orders. She fought until the
battle ran its course and protected the warriors she considered
hers. "I am not certain what my role is, Esu. I fight, follow
orders, and protect my warriors as best I can. I do not openly
start the conflict, that would be my brother's doing. I have
never been one to openly initiate war."
Enyo's gaze softened as she listened to the god's, watched as he
explained the nature of water. He seemed to know how to touch
the deepest recesses of her being, places that she herself did
not know existed. Had he seen more than just her home when he
took her hand? That question could not be answered by her but
she wanted to ask. Yet, she did not bring the words to her lips.
Instead, they died in her mind replaced by an overwhelming
feeling of peace. "I don't want to fight anymore, Esu," she
whispered softly, though she knew he would hear.
Her questions of the other goddess brought thoughts of her
father to mind; of the strange relationships he had with other
gods, az well as mortals. Esu may not habe mentioned his father,
but she could deduce such information without him needing to do
so. "My father has a similar relationship with other goddesses
back home, in fact I have many siblings that you might call
half-brothers and sisters. There are far too many to,"
A familiar presence brought Enyo's thought to an abrupt end. Of
all the gods that would search for her, she was the one that
came. Golden eyes fell upon the figure of her half-sister,
Artemis, gaze narrowed with suspicion. "Why are you," her wors
were cut short by Artemis' declaration. Ares had sent her after
Enyo, as the goddess had suspected. "No, I am not leaving here
yet, Artemis. I have come here for a reason, and this god here,"
Enyo gestured towards Esu, "may very well be the one who guides
me. Besides, after what Ares did, I do not wish to return. He
can sulk as long as he wishes, I have no desire to see him." The
goddess sighed and wiped her eyes to rid her mind of it's
headache. "Why did you agree to do this for him, Artemis. If I
recall, you are not one to run errands for others."
Enyo turned her gaze, and attention, back to Esu and shook her
head. "I am not leaving, Esu, at least not for a few weeks. I
wish for you to show me more of this path in which you speak of.
Ares, and his violent tendencies can survive without me." A
smile, as confident as the glance Esu flashed Artemis, tickled
her lips, and she stepped clozer to the ebony god. "I meant what
I said, I do not wish to fight any longer, even if it iz to go
against my nature."

When the dark skinned man returned eye contact with her, Artemis
narrowed her eyes. Though at the mention of the dark man being a
god her eyes widened, mouth forming a petite 'o' before she
bursted out with laughter. "I always knew you were more creative
than Ares, but I never would have thought you'd imagine up a
whole knew group of gods." She wiped an invisible tear from her
eye, a wide smile on her face. "You are a piece of work, Enyo."
A few seconds was time enough for her giggles to settle down.
She did not believe the ebony man to be a god. He radiated
dominance, but it was impossible for him to be a god, right?
Artemis spent no time in dwelling on such a thought. A brow rose
at Enyo's near hostile behavior. "I saw what he did to you,
Enyo," She declared confidently. Everyone saw what he did to
her. It was obvious his temper was short, Artemis merely wanted
to save herself from such a beating, and by complying to his
wishes she did just that. "I think my face looks better without
black and blue bruises," She said with a smirk. "Now come on,
Ares is waiting. The longer you keep him waiting the angrier he
will be with you." After saying that, Artemis placed a hand on
her half-sisters arm. If she didn't comply peacefully, force
would be used to bring her back. While Enyo was strong, Artemis
was quick and accurate; she had a silence that was lethal from
all her years of hunting. It would take no time for her to
disable her half-sister with an arrow. And she had not a doubt
that her dogs were close behind to help.

Èṣù believed Enyo's words to be true. They coincided
perfectly with what he had assumed to be true about her from the
beginning. Gods could live for thousands of years without aging,
but regardless of her age, Enyo was but a child who had been
given no direction. She did what she was told and asked no
questions because that was what she was taught.
But it seemed that his words had some effect on her. He believed
her to be truly honest when he told him that she no longer
wanted to fight. Surely having been on the receiving end of
violence had some effect on her as well. As she spoke of her
father, he couldn't help but wonder what their structure was
like. Orisha Gods didn't reproduce as humans did. Olorun was
seen as the father of all the Orisha Gods. "You have a large
family. There is much you all could learn from each other,
should you learn to communicate. Perhaps you could be the birth
of that communication."
A familiar grin returned to Èṣù's face when Artemis
declared that Enyo had "made up" a set of Gods. He took a seat
on a large stone and a pipe appeared in his hands. He put the
pipe in his mouth and watched the woman's tirade. Several
moments passed, and he said nothing, just waited. Once the woman
had finished laughing, he exhaled the smoke in her direction,
and before the smoke could pass her eyes, There were copies of
Enyo everywhere. Every stone, tree, and animal had become a copy
of the Goddes of Warfare. They matched her in appearance, scent,
even the energy they emitted. Artemis would not capture Enyo and
take her back against her will so easily. The Trickster of the
Orisha Gods would be sure of that.
"How about you have a word with this 'made-up' God for a moment.
Enyo is here, seeking her identity. Her purpose here is to
discover the truth about herself. If your only reason for
wanting to return her to Mt. Olympus is fear of what this 'Ares'
will do to you, then remain here with her until her journey is
complete. Then the two of you can go home together. I assure
you, that bow will be of little use to you in your mission, so
you may want to consider doing things my way." He then stood up
from his position on the rock and began walking back toward the
path. He stopped to look back at the woman. "Besides, I'm sure
there's game here you've never had the chance to hunt before.
Are you really willing to pass up that opportunity?"
His final words were for both of the visiting Goddesses. "If you
wish to stay here, I will take you to my father. He'll be the
deciding factor here." With that, he began toward Olorun's
domain, with whoever chose to follow him en tow.
