Re: Jasper's Room

Jasper listened to Kegan's tirade, but she got little more than
a huff in response. Everything she said further confirmed his
hypothesis. She then fell into monologue, explaining about her
past. Family troubles... Daddy issues... And a sister who she
loved, but held resentment and competitiveness toward deep
beneath the surface. These were things that Jasper typically
tried to avoid. They lead to personality complexes, and
neediness, which showed in the question that she asked of him.
What did she expect him to say? That his being urged him to make
love to her? That it was love at first sight, and he was
impulsed to act on it? No. Such things didn't exist in this
world. The fact of the matter was that SHE was the one who chose
to bring him into her bed. He hadn't pursued her . Sure, he
would -like- to get to know her and find out who she was, but at
this moment, even that didn't matter. All that mattered was
sleep. "Go to bed Kegan." He had told her too many times already
that they could talk sometime the next day. He wouldn't say it
again. Sleep overtook the man completely now. There was no more
discussion to be had...

She watched him fall asleep, listened to the rhythm of his
breathing; but she was restless and was far from slumber. A sigh
of defeat resonated deep within her, and she stood to her feet.
Upon gathering her sheet, Kegan decided what she must do.
Contract be damned, she wasn't going to stay in this house much
longer. The other tenants were already believing that she was
unstable, and she was anything but. Her sad, blue eyes spared
the handsome Jasper one last glance before she made her way
toward his door. On her way out, she caught sight of a pen and
piece of paper. He left a note for her, so she would do the same
for him. It would be short, but to the point.
Dear Jasper,
I apologize for the sudden intrusion into your room,
so late at night. However, I do want to thank you for allowing
me know the touch of a man. I fear I am being to emotional, too
'clingy' as you Americans would say. I will cease to step into
your personal life. By the time you awaken, and read this, I
will most certainly be gone from this house. I wish you and
everyone else here the best of luck here and in your future
endeavors. If you're ever in Italy, look me up. Yes, I am French
but my sister resides in Italy.
Sincerely,
Kegan.

At seven, Jasper's alarm went off. He wasn't the type to sit
around in bed for long, waiting for time to catch up with him.
He quickly got up, and jumped in the shower. Once he was clean,
he chose a clean white t-shirt, a black blazer, and a nice pair
of blue jeans to put on. It wasn't until he put on his black
chucks, that he noticed the note on the door. Multicolored eyes
rolled as he took the note from the door and took a moment to
read it. He sighed and placed the note in the waste basket,
remaining motionless for a moment. "Why did she leave?" He
didn't mean to ask this question out loud. "She's so damn
dramatic!" He shook his head, put on his favorite hat and headed
out the door.

When Jasper returned to his room, he realized that Aoife still
had his hat. With a sigh, he flopped down on his bed and looked
up at the ceiling. Had everything he said in his interview been
true? Or was he just trying to save face. To be honest, he
really wasn't sure. For now, he would just relax and wait for
something to happen...

Jasper hadn't been in his room long when his phone vibrated once
more. At this point, there was no point in trying to predict who
it would be, so he pulled the device out, and took a look at it.
An unregistered number. "It wasn't too bad." He replied, keeping
it simple, in case it was anyone other than Aoife.

"That's not true, Kegan." Sachiel said without turning around.
"You wouldn't hate her. I can tell by how excited you are
whenever you talk about her. Your relationship with her is much
more valuable than your friendship with me. Don't take it for
granted." He knocked on Jasper's door, and awaited an answer.
Once the man came tot he door, he explained the situation. Once
the basics had gotten across, he introduced Kensley, and told
Jasper that Kegan was considering going home, but first, they
wanted to sit down and have a talk, before she made her
decision.

Jasper laughed quietly when he got his reply from Aoife. his
fingers immediately went to work in response. "I kind of
figured. Just don't lose it. xD" As soon as he hit send, there
was a knock at his door. He opened it to find Sachiel, with
Kegan, and another girl. A dark green shade immediately. He
listened to Sachiel's explanation of the situation, and a swirl
of light blue added to the mix. So they came seeking a
resolution. Perhaps Kegan would listen to some reason now. This
whole situation had been out of hand from the start. He sighed,
and walked into the room, ushering everyone in, and taking a
seat on the edge of his bed. "Okay, where do we start?"

Kegan flashed Jasper a half smile as she entered the room, and
chose to sit next to him on the bed. This was for his
protection, because she felt a little uncomfortable sitting next
to him. Part of her wanted to reach ouch and touch Jasper, to
kiss him; but the other part of her wanted tosee if there might
be feelings between her and Sachiel, though she doubted there
were. Her eyes darted between Jasper, Sachiel and her sister
before settling up her lap. "We can start by apologizing for my
behavior, Jasper." Her fingers began to wrap around one another,
as they always did whenshe was nervous.

"This is him?" Kensley asked when she entered the room. She
skewered the man with his eyes while she took a seat in a chair
nearby Sachiel. Kensley would watch Jasper thoroughly,
especially with Kegan sitting right next to him. "You don't have
to apologize for anything Kegan, you did nothing wrong. This man
should apologize for taking advantage of a young and
impressionable French Girl. One who has never really known any
affection from any man." Kensley seethed with anger and wanted
to fracture the pretty face that belonged to Jasper.

Sachiel could tell that this wasn't going to be an easy session.
Kegan was too confused about her emotions. She didn't know what
to feel and it showed in ber body language and choice of a seat.
Kensley was too frustrated and angry to look at the situation
from a logical point of view. Neither of these positions was
going to lead to a resolution. Sachiel placed a gentle hand on
Kensley's shoulder. "I've heard Kegan's point of view already."
He said calmly. It was clear that there needed to be a neutral
party in the room. "Let's start by hearing your side of the
story, Jasper."
