[center]Breathing... It was so hard to do nowadays... Now when
you have everything to help you STOP breathing. Lately, it had
felt so weird for her, Alice Lingerton? That was her name,
right? Everything was so confusing now, she could barely
breathe. Her life was tumbling down a fast moving hill and
nothing Alice said or done ould stop it. Her heart had been
broken too many times, she might as well forget she even had
one. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she lifted a hand to her
chest, pressing her fingers against her naked flesh, she took a
deep breath and then held it. Hoping to dear god, that she would
feel a beat, but she didn't. Her eyes closed and she parted her
lips, letting out the breath that she had held in. Alice wasn't
quite in the mood to deal with anyone, and anyone she did want
to deal with, were gone.
Keiden was married to Anya.
Anya was no longer in danger, which was good.
Livia was with Elijah, keeping him happy and hopefully on his
toes, and Kaaden? He was with them.
So now? She had nothing to worry about and nothing to do. Alice
began to walk down the street with her hands in her back
pockets, her head was slanted to the side, an her eyes were
filled with... Nothing. She was empty. [/center]

Kyler yawned and leaned back against the tree behind him,
shifting his torso around in search of a comfortable position
against the rough bark. His normally bright sapphire eyes were
dulled to a navy color with boredom. His gaze rested on nothing
in particular, just kind of roamed the area around him. He was
unable to find interest in anything today. He audibly and
dramatically sighed, letting his head fall back to hit the tree.
His half-sister Hailey, who was sitting only a foot away from
him, removed her eyes from her notebook to stare at him; her one
brown and one blue eyes swirling with annoyance. She was tired
of her brothers’ complaints and constant sighs. She knew they
were bored, she was just as bored as them. There was never
anything to do. All they did nowadays was wander around, never
staying in one place for longer than three days or so, willing
themselves to have the luck to find some kind of entertainment.
Parker lay on the ground perpendicular to Hailey, his head on
his arms near one of her feet. His eyes were closed, his
breathing even, and his mind a million miles away. He looked
like he was deep in sleep and perhaps enjoying a dream of some
sort until a spasm ran through his body, making every muscle in
him taught, and he snapped his head up. His dark eyes lit up as
he quickly looked at his half-sister and stepbrother then turned
to look behind himself. Hailey had seemed alarmed at first but
had easily enough gone back to lazily moving her pencil across
her paper. The annoyance in her eyes also made an appearance in
her voice when she spoke, “What is it Parker?”
“There’s someone over there,” Parker replied in an even tone,
narrowing his eyes and twitching his head in the direction he
was focused on. Kyler flopped his head in that direction,
ignoring the sandy hair that then crowded his vision. He could
see the person Parker noticed and, as he watched her for a
second longer, began to hear her footsteps too –which is what
must’ve woken Parker up. Kyler would admit the sight of the
girl made his brain itch a little, but he ignored the faint
sense of recognition and looked away, back at nothing like
before.
“So?” Kyler mumbled, yawning again.
“Unless it’s some kind of awesome entertainer or famous person,
I don’t really care,” Hailey added, absentmindedly pushing the
blonde bits of her bangs behind her ears. Parker frowned
slightly, having the same weird feeling about seeing this girl
as Kyler just had. He couldn’t quite place her but swore he had
definitely seen her before. He kept his eyes on her while she
walked, nearly parallel to them but not very far away, mind
reeling with possibilities of who she might be.

[center]Alice stopped walking and took a deep breath as she
looked out to the distance. Ever since Keiden got married, she
had a hard time with the demon within her; it always wanted to
burst free of her inner self, so her eyes were ringed a blood
red. She took a deep breath and shut her eyes a bit.
But then she heard a noise and her head jerked back a little til
her eyes settled on three figures a distance away from her. Her
lips stayed in a thin line as she watched their mouths move. She
recognized them and honestly could care less about them...
Well... All but one of them.
Kyler. She would notice him wherever she went. A sigh blew from
her nose until she heard footsteps and practically jumped half
way into the air with a hiss soaring through her clenched teeth.
But it was nothing to worry about. Alice laughed.
"Damien..." The boy was about her age with flashing emerald eyes
and a grand smile on his face. He stepped up to Alice and hugged
her tightly.
"Oh man, Alice! It's been a while! I've missed you and your
little spunky daughter! Where is she anyways?" he looked around
them and back at her where she shrugged her shoulders.
"She's with her boyfriend, or I assume that's what they are
since they did have sex in all..." She smiled at him and counted
slowly to three in her head when a little pixie-like girl with
silver hair stood by her side. "Kari..."
Kari looked at Alice and smiled and she lifted her hand pointing
to the figures behind them. "There are a couple interesting
people over there, care to go have a chat?" Alice winced, she
wasn't sure it was wise but Damien and Kari were already on the
move. [/center]

As soon as the girl turned towards them –seeming to have heard
and noticed them--, Parker’s upper lip twitched, and he grumbled
under his breath, “Are you fucking kidding me?”
Hailey exhaled loudly through her nose. “What the fu-uh…” She
paused for a split second, having turned her head to look at the
girl and been caught off guard by who it was. “Seriously?” she
thought aloud, her voice containing the same aggravated tone as
Parker’s. Her nostrils flared and she closed the notebook she’d
been doodling in, shoving the pencil into the spirals on the
side, and let it fall onto the ground next to her legs. She
looked at Kyler, who had also put his gaze back on the girl, his
brows furrowed and light irises containing an array of negative
emotions. “Should we g--”
Hailey was cut off by Parker, who was shaking his head roughly,
“We have no reason to go. It’s just… fucking… uh…”
“Alice,” Kyler filled in for his stepbrother, moving his head
back to meet Hailey’s questioning gaze, which he answered with a
mere shrug.
“Looks like they’re having a little whatever-their-last-name-was
reunion…” Parker groaned, watching as a boy walked up and
embraced Alice and then a girl appeared by her side. Kyler
didn’t even bother saying what their last name was, just
thinking it brought up memories of that whole strange family.
He had thought that him and his two almost-real-siblings had
weird stuff going on in their lives, but that had been before
he’d met Alice and some of the other Lingertons. He still
didn’t really understand most of what had gone on while he’d
been almost a part of that family, and he’d prefer to keep it
that way. He thought about that whole scenario sometimes, and
more often than not wished that he had had the common sense to
get away from all of it sooner.
“Who are those two?” Hailey questioned, eyes flickering between
the boy and girl walking towards them and her half-brother.
When he didn’t answer, she looked towards Parker, whose
attention was completely on the people she was asking about.
Once the two were closer, Parker pushed himself to his feet in
one swift movement. “Who are you?” he asked, his voice void of
the aggravation it had held only a moment ago. Hailey, who
normally would have tried to cover up the rudeness of Parker in
front of strangers, and Kyler said nothing; all three of them
had no guess as to why these people –who were obviously very
well acquainted with Alice—had some kind of urge to come over to
them.

Alice wasn't all too sure that going over there was such a good
idea. Her lips twisted only a little bit, but Damien and Kari
were already on their way. A sigh passed her lips and she
started to walk forward, with dignity. But she wasn't the first
to speak... Parker was.
"Who are you?"
Kari grinned and stepped forward. Her eyes raking the boy's
flesh, mentally undressing him and making those around her's
skin crawl. Her lips parted and she spoke in a crispy voice.
"Why hello there. I'm assuming you, and you, and you..." Kari
pointed at Hailey, Kyler and Parker with her finger on her right
hand. "All know my aunt Alice. It's all so nice to meet you,
ah, whoever you are. My name is Kari. Kari Anne."
Kari looked behind herself at Alice, giving her a look and Alice
nodded her head. She knew get niece wanted her to introduce
them. She purposely moved in front of Kari which put her right
by Parker, since she knew he couldn't stand her.
"Parker, this is my niece Kari Anne, and my best friend Damien.
Kari, this is Parker, Hailey, and my ex Kyler." She stepped back
and waited. Damien's head perked up and he shined them all a
very bright smile.
"Hello! Kyler, it's a pleasant way of meeting you! I'm just glad
she us the one who dumped you and not the other way around, else
I'd have to rip your dick and balls off and shove them down your
throat!" all the while of speaking he never lost his smile.
He turned his head to Parker and his eyes shifted between
dislike and friendliness. "It's nice to meet you, Parker-" but
before he could finish Kari butted in.
"Nice? I think it's great. I mean... Look at him. Mm." she
licked her lips and Damien rolled his eyes and smirked. But he
didn't speak to Parker again. No. This time he turned his head
to Hailey and smiled.
"Ahh, the beautiful Hailey." he purred out gently as he kneeled
down and took her hand in his, placing a gentle kiss to her
knuckles. "It's very nice to meet you, Hailey. Alice hasn't told
me much about you but I'm sure you're just wonderful."
He released her hand and got up to his feet, then Alice looked
towards Kyler making a slight face. It was like she was trying
to think of something to say to him and struggling to say it.
She took a deep breath and finally;
"Kyler, I need to tell you something." She took a deep breath of
air and then finally, something flashed in her eyes and she made
a change of heart. "Have you seen Ali recently?"

By the time Alice and the other two had made their way over to
where Parker, Hailey, and Kyler were, Hailey and Kyler had
gotten up and moved to stand on both sides of the darker haired
brother. The aura around Parker was dark, tension radiated off
of him, and it was making Hailey very nervous. She pulled her
lower lip between her teeth and bit down, blue and brown eye
narrowing as she and her siblings were pointed at. Nodding
slightly, she stole a quick glance at her two half-brothers,
swiftly making note that both of them looked oddly calm. For
once, it seemed like she was the only one nervous out of the
three of them; usually she could count on Kyler to be jittery
and Parker to be angry, leaving her to look rather aloof as she
tried to deal with both of them. But apparently, despite the
tension in the air that Parker was supplying, today was
different.
None of them said anything when Kari introduced herself, they
didn't even offer her a warm smile as a greeting. Parker even
managed to keep a straight face when Alice moved and ended up
right next to him. The three had never been able to read each
other's minds or share thoughts, but they all knew they were
thinking the same thing. This was just way too strange. It had
never been a secret that Alice had hated all of them back after
she'd broken up with Kyler and Kyler had thought that meant that
he was supposed to be with her sister instead. 'Man,' Kyler
thought, his upper lip twitching as he fought back the urge to
grimace when Alice introduced him as her ex, 'What a mistake
that was.'
Kyler's jaw dropped when Damien spoke to him, and he heard
Hailey swallow a growl and Parker snicker. Parker met Damien's
gaze, his dark brown eyes shining with some strange mixture of
annoyance and entertainment, and then looked to Kari when she
addressed him. His brows lifted at her words but he said
nothing, partly because he wasn't sure how to reply to that but
mostly because he thought there definitely had to be some kind
of trick being played on them.
Hailey frowned when her hand was taken, confusion clouding her
irises when Damien acted like such a gentleman. It was crazy,
she thought, that someone as seemingly polite as this could be
associated with a family like the Lingertons. A ghost of a
smile flickered on her lips as Damien stood, and she dropped her
hand back to her side.
"I think wonderful would be the last word Alice or anyone else
in her family would use to describe me..." she mumbled, more to
herself than anyone else.
Kyler's entire demeanor changed when Alice spoke directly to
him. He shifted his weight on his feet and crossed his arms
over his chest. His eyes narrowed and their color darkened at
the mention of Alicia. There was an edge in his voice when he
answered her.
"No, why would I?"

Alice turned her head towards Hailey when she had spoken about
her and not to her She gave a slight roll of her eyes. Then she
looked towards Kari who seemed to interested in Parker to really
even be paying attention to anyone else, and then when Kyler
spoke to her with such a tone, she wanted to bark at him, but
she knew that would only stir the demon within her up even more
than it already was so she just gave him a slight smile and then
looked away. "I wanted to know because, she's my sister, and the
last time I saw her, she was all up on your junk..." Her words,
apparently caught someone's attention, because Kari dragged her
eye-raping eyes towards Alice, and then Kyler, and she raised
her eyebrows.
"No way... Alicia? Really? She was all up on this guy...? Not
that I don't see why. You're super cute, but Ali!? She's such a
saint!" Kari was looking for gossip, Alie could see it in her
eyes, and she narrowed her own eyes, and tried to keep a
straight face, but she just couldn't hold it in. Her lips
twitched up only slightly, and she shook her head a bit.
"Kari, that's not what I meant, and you know it. Ali is a
virgin, and at this point? She always will be." Alice blew out a
troubled breath, but then Kari looked bored and turned her
attention back to Parker, she tilted her head and licked her
lips. Damien watched and narrowed his eyes. He turned his head
to Hailey and smiled a bit.
"Oh Alice? She's harmless, and she loves everyone on the inside
anyways, even if you don't think she truly cares about you, she
does." He winked a laughed, and pointed to Kari and sighed.
"I'm so sorry if she's bothering you or your uh friend or
brother there, the Parker kid? She's just very hormonal..." That
comment got him a glare from Kari and she crossed her arms.
Shaking her head.
"For your information, I just find him extremely attractive..."
She looked over at Parker again with a grin. "Say, are you
seeing someone right now?"
Alice rolled her eyes looked to Parker. Her expression was truly
troubled and then she took a deep breath and sighed. "Okay,
listen, that wasn't the real reason I wanted to talk to you. I
have some things to say to you, but honestly, I'd like to do it
in private... Please, Kyler?" She tilted her head, and then felt
a giddy emotion wash over her as she remembered vaguely the
first time they had met and how she had kissed him. She missed
that... She missed HIM. But she knew she fucked it up, and she
knew that she wouldn't be able to get him back so what would be
the point, eh?

"I am so sick of walking- can we pleasee please please stop in
this town for the night." Ilyiana continued to twirl the light
purple strand of hair between her fingers, eyes averted to the
ground in fear of getting bitched at for the fourth time that
day. Obviously none of the others wanted to continue traveling-
they were all short tempered, even Patrick. "Suck it up,
buttercup." Denver had no heart as far as Ilyiana was concerned,
and if she did her and Isaac split it because he holds as much
empathy for others as Denver. Zero. None. Before Ilyiana could
protest, Ty cleared his throat and glanced over to Patrick. " I
do think this town would be a nice pit stop." Ty looked to his
right to give Ilyiana a small smile before averting his
attention back over to Patrick- it was his choice on whether or
not they stopped; no matter how much Isaac or Denver might want
to believe they held all the control in this group. Despite
those two having started the group in the first place, Patrick
seemed to be the most level headed, due to the fact that Ty was
a giant pushover, Ilyiana was a bit lazy, and -should it be up
to Denver and Isaac- they would walk for three years straight.
Patrick breathed heavily out his nose, eyes surveying the street
they'd been traveling down for the last two hours, slowing as
they passed a gas station. "If this town's got a hotel or
somewhere to stay for the night, then sure." An audible growl
came from somewhere over near Denver, although a quick shove to
her side by Isaac hushed her up. "Why don't we ask those lovely
neighborhood friends?" Denver jerked her head towards a large
group that looked around their age. It looked like a reunion was
taking place. "Maybe we could just ask the cler-" Ty hadn't even
gotten a full sentence out before Denver was slinking over
towards the group, halfway down the road within thirty seconds.
Isaac kept up with her pace, Patrick sighing quietly before
mosying his way towards the group as well. Ty looked down to
Ilyiana who merely rolled her shoulders in a shrug and grabbed
his hand, dragging him towards the rest of their clan.
"Do any of you kitties know where the closest hotel is?"
Denver's seaweed green eyes held a sharp look, lips curled into
a half smile as if she'd just stop putting forth effort into
making it look welcoming.
