Caelia's Room
By: Caelia Ayomide Date: July 31, 2013, 12:08 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Caelia stretched after she had finished unpacking and looked
around the room that she would be staying in, making sure that
everything was in its proper place and looked just as neat as
when she’d arrived. She didn’t like to make big messes and
couldn’t stand to be unorganized when it came to her personal
things, a stark opposite from her sister, Nadya, whose room was
always scattered with clothes, papers, and various art supplies.
Caelia wondered how her sister was doing. Before her acting
career, Caelia had lived in a small apartment in New York with
Nadya and her father. Her mother had abandoned them when they
were young, so her father had raised them to the best of his
ability while working a job for the government. He had always
been very supportive of his two daughters, even when they both
chose to go into the arts instead of choosing more practical
careers. The two sisters both had fond memories of their father,
and it had been a serious blow to the girls when he suddenly
came up missing with no explanation and no leads as to where he
may have gone. Caelia remembered Nadya locking herself in her
room for days after that, only coming out to shower and eat,
while Caelia launched herself into her work with even more
fervor, determined to get out and find her own path. It was
through this that she got her big break from the theatre to
television/film acting.
She sighed, glancing out the large window above her bed.
Something nudged her leg, and she turned to see her big german
shepherd/husky mix, Kiba, panting up at her with a big goofy
look on his face. The dog had been just as excited as her to be
traveling to a new place. Caelia did wonder though… why had she
been chosen to be a part of this new show? She hardly played
anything but minor roles and extras, her biggest (and also her
most favorite) role being her part in the Daratan series. All of
the other actors and actresses she’d seen on the list were far
more famous than her. Even her own dog was more famous than she
was. The younger fans of the show had loved the “big, fluffy
doggy” that followed the healer girl around. The special effects
team had loved the way the big dog’s bright green eyes nearly
glowed like a demon’s and specifically requested that he be
included with Caelia’s role, because who doesn’t love furry
companions?
Shrugging, she turned and grabbed the white leash from the
doorknob, clipping onto Kiba’s matching collar before heading
out of the room. Kiba didn’t really need the leash since he
stuck by her side at all times, but for other people’s sakes,
Caelia kept one on him. A lot of people were unnerved by the big
dog’s presence, and she could understand that fact, but Kiba was
really just an overgrown lapdog and would be anyone’s best
friend who gave him a good scratch behind the ears. Caelia
wondered who all had arrived yet and hoped to see some of her
friends and co-cast members here. There had been the stoic
redhead with a fiery temper who played a high class warrior
(they didn’t really speak much outside of their roles, but
Caelia didn’t mind the quiet). She also remembered the two burly
guys who played as guards to the fire clan (she had loved the
way they joked so openly, their raucous laughter carrying far
across the set. Then there were the Siramite cast, with whom
she’d made good friends even if her character had never had
direct contact with them. She missed them very dearly and it
would be wonderful to see them all again. Even if the
circumstances were a bit… odd.

Re: Caelia's Room

She had meant to explore the house before coming back to her
room, but Caelia needed a minute to regroup her thoughts and the
only place she knew she wouldn't run into anyone else was her
own room. Besides, with Kiba in tow, it'd be hard to maneuver
around the house freely. She didn't really know the rules
regarding her pet in the rest of the house, so she had decided
to bring him back to their room.
Caelia sat down on the edge of the bed, scratching her childhood
friend behind the ears gently as she thought. Maybe it was a
mistake for me to agree to be a part of this. There are so many
big names here. And so many people! Although it was good to see
some old friends... She didn't know what to think about some of
the others. Shay had seemed pleasant, and so had that Stefan guy
and the woman who had come in shortly after she had seen
'Nailiah, but these others... would she get along with them all?
She had never really told anyone about her fear of men, and
while she had been able to make friends with Sachiel, these
other guys she knew nothing about. What if she freaked out in
front of them or something even more embarrassing? Caelia sighed
to herself. I just have to keep positive. I'm sure I'll be fine.
It's not like we're all mass murderers or something, right?
Feeling a little better and ready to see what the rest of this
house had to hold before the day ended, Caelia got up and put
Kiba in his large kennel, making sure that he had plenty of
water and food before changing into something a little more
comfy. She slipped out of her red-and-gold tunic and black dress
pants, pulling on a simple grey tank top and some bright blue
jogging pants over a bathing suit. What if she decided to go for
a swim after all? Her long, feathery hair went tied back into a
neat ponytail, and she decided to forgo the sandals she had been
wearing earlier. Then she headed out of the room to check out
all of the other areas of the large house.
