Sachiel didn't know what to expect from Rashel. She never talked
about romance, or her love life. She never introduced him to
anyone she dated, or talked about the nice things a man had done
for her. It was possible that the one moment of passion they had
shared was enough for her. It was possible that she could walk
out that door and never think about any of this again. Of
course, that didn't -sound- like her. But it was possible. So he
breathed a silent sigh of relief when she placed her hand in
his, and laced his fingers with hers. He lifted her hand, and
kissed the back of her palm "I want to do everything." He said.
His voice was laced with more emotion now, as if certainty had
taken him over, and he was no longer hiding behind a shield. He
was putting himself out to take the shots, and if he took them,
he would bear the pain as a man who did what he could. "I want
to do everything...." He said again "With you at my side." It
was settled. He had put himself out there, but would she accept
his desires and reciprocate them? or would she back away from
the idea of a commitment that could potentially tear them apart?

Rashel blushed at his offer. It was clear that he was preaped to
do anything it took to have her at his side; or at least give
them a chance to have something more than secretive feelings and
an awkward friendship. The hope bubbled within her chest as she
nodded, giving in to the temptation of his words and the feel of
his lips brushing her skin. Still, in spite of the hope he had
given her, she worried about the consequences of it not working
out. She already had allot weighted down on her shoulders with
her cooperation and her alcohol sister. Was she really prepared
for a broken heart? Honestly, she had no clue if she could
handle that kind of devastation, but he was worth the risk.
"Everything?" she asked, trying to sound brave but it came out
weak and clumsily. "I might take you up on that."
Giving him time to chew on her words, she kissed the hollow of
his cheek and then placed her forehead against his should.
Abesently, her thumb drew circles on the back of his hand. The
feel of it was so surreal. She had waited so long for the chance
to be with him and fantasized every time she saw him and
wondered what it would be like just to kiss him.
It was then, in the quiet that she realized how much her body
ached from the lack of its innocence. As if it were mourning
after what he had taken but there was no grief or regret in her
expression.
"I have always wanted you Sachiel," she whispered. "Even if it
doesn't work, thank you for seeing me worth your while."
Rashel kissed his neck and smiled to herself.
