       Fantasy Spirit
By: Mimi Date: June 26, 2013, 5:58 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
In this fairytale land, anything is possible. Where the magic
happens. It has its lush forest, blooming fully with a beautiful
green color. Nearby is the large ocean with a wealthy town
beside it. The town is well known for its harbor and for its
rare items like rare weapons or equipments. This town is always
seen as a golden city, where not much crime happens either. Yet,
there rests a curse on this town, that happens each time the
full moon shines. What this curse is... You will find out...
The closest town aside from this town is across the desert. The
desert lies behind the lush forest. This town has its demons and
other evil creatures, that sometimes crosses the path with the
Golden Town, causing a lot of havok and blood shed. This rarely
       happens.
       [Starting post]
Melody just sat at the ocean, enjoying the breeze coming from
the ocean. The soft salty smell made her smile. It was obvious
she loved the ocean. Today seemed a slow day again. But a
peaceful day. Nothing new. No new travelers that seemed
interesting. It was a shame. She loved some action. Sitting on
the sand, she let the water wash over her legs. Lightly touching
the water, it shimmered a soft blue color. She was a magical
being. Which wasn't strange in this world, but in this town, she
was the only one who could manipulate the waters. Her Light blue
eyes just stared over the ocean, not really bothering with the
people around her. Her long black hair waved gently in the wind
as she just didn't seem to move at all. She looked a bit like a
tough girl, who shouldn't be messed with. She did that herself.
She hated to be treated like some porcelain doll. Hearing the
chatter around her, she slowly turned her head and watched a
couple walking by. Such a stupid sight. Getting up, she brushed
the sand from her clothing. Moving through town, she just sighed
and shook her head. "Such a.. Boring place." She whispered to
herself, making her way towards the forest. She knew a special
place in the forest, with a lovely lake.
When she finally arrived at the lake, she looked at the rock in
the middle of it. Taking out her flute, she smiled at the beauty
of it. It was a pearly white flute with blue lines, curled in
delicate forms, as well as having her name on it. Melody Aine.
Slowly placing the flute to her lips, she closed her eyes and
started playing a beautiful melody on it. It could be heard in
the forest clearly, giving an enchanting sound to it. Animals
got into a trance and relaxed at the sound of it. The water
started to divide and show a path towards the rock. Melody
opened her eyes, walking over the path to the rock. Going up the
rock, she slowly stopped playing her music again. Sitting on the
rock, she watched the water wave into motion and turning back to
its normal form. Looking up at the sky, she just sighed,
wondering if anything interesting would happen any time soon. It
would be full moon again in two days, so people in her town were
already preparing for that day again. Such a drama.

Days past and not a damned thing in sight? really it was
starting to become a hassle, and Arias was growing pretty easily
irritated with the "Lush green forest" Hell it had been all he'd
seen for close to two weeks now. Luckily water had been
bountiful, and he also had stumbled across a group of bandits.
Of course the bandits had been sleeping, quite soundly so it
made it easy to rob them blind in the little bit of time that he
had. Unfortunately that food was gone, and he was hungry, as
marked by the constant grumble of his stomach whilst he pushed
past he brush. "Stupid god damned trees, and lack of
civilization and.." he would have continued grumbling but in the
not to far distance he could hear a beautiful tone.
Arias wasted no time after he heard it, and bolted across the
field. His tan robes fell behind him like a blur as he whispered
a few words and caste a "haste" spell upon himself, making him
twice as fast. The forest no longer took shape around him, and
he almost lost track of what he was doing before the green
suddenly ended, the song was as loud as it might be, and well...
his foot only met the air before a lake. "Shi.." he didn't have
time to finish the word before he stumbled into the crisp cool
waters of the lake with a big old splash. Arias resurfaced soon
spitting out a fish from his mouth as he grumbled and buoyed
himself to stay his head above water. He glanced around, and of
course.. first thing he seen was an actually very attractive
young human looking girl sitting atop a rock in the middle of
the water. At first he wasn't sure what to think, but as his
mind put two and two together, he started cussing about, pushing
his wet blonde hair aside as he growled towards the sky.
"Damnit! Of all the ways to go? I drowned Seriously, I survive
for 3 weeks int he wild and suddenly a lake gets me?" he looked
almost strange, or estranged, whichever word fit best, but in
his mind what he was seeing was the likeliness of a Fey or Nymph
in this case, and that was any mans dream. thus.. well he had to
       be dead.

As Melody kept watching the sky, she noticed a change in the
air. As if something with high speed was coming towards her. Her
light blue eyes shimmered lightly to look deeper into the
forest. It wasn't necessary though. The being was already here
and fell into the lake. She looked towards the water and giggled
as the man came up. "Well well... Not something I see every
day." She spoke in an amused tone, tilting her head lightly.
Crawling to the top of the rock to look over the edge and down
at the man, she gave a friendly smile. "Now, no need to cuss so
much. It's just water." She took out her flute, playing a
different melody on it. The water started to transform, making a
solid stair, leading the man to the edge of the lake, setting
him down on the grass. Changing the melody once again, the water
from the man disappeared as his clothing became dry again as
well as his hair. Laying down her flute and opening her eyes,
she just rested on the rock. "So.. What brings you here? A
traveler? If so, the Golden Town is right that way." She spoke
in a soft voice, pointing towards the East direction. She didn't
recognize his clothing, so he wasn't from the Devils Town, or so
       she called it.
"Where are you from? Your clothing look very unfamiliar. You
must be from a far land." Her voice filled with curiousity, as
her light blue eyes still shimmered a bit. She stayed on the
rock though, in case this man wasn't so friendly. After all, he
started cussing just because he fell into the water. She
couldn't trust a complete stranger just because he didn't attack
yet. Holding tightly onto her flute, she just sat on the edge of
the rock. "Your speed was very fast as well. Are you a sorcerer?
Strange outfit for a sorcerer." Her voice was sweet, but also
showing no fear. She was indeed quite intruiged by his
appearance. It was something new. "If you won't hurt me, I can
show you this town. You're probably hungry. Most travelers are."
She knew this all too well. Giggling a bit, she waited for his
       response.

Arias didn't have time to think as the water started to to move
quite rapidly. He stared up at the dark headed woman, as she
palyed her flute and as he took land he slightly flailed out a
bit. It was quite embarrassing but he didn't let it bother him
when he looked back at the woman. He pushed up from the ground,
finding that his body and hair and jacket were completely dry
once more. Arias ran his hand through his hair for a bit making
sure it didn't look like slop but what he was more interested in
at this point; aside form his stomach, was this woman, and her
       strangely powers.
When Arias looked back over there, he seen the woman sprawled
out over the rock she had been setting on, and fiddling
mindlessly with her flute in one hand. She spoke out to him
asking him what he was about; which was pretty reasonable. So
Arias stepped over to the edge of the water and returned her
conversation, as he was quite curious himself. Her voice was
soft, almost melodic even; and his voice was rough but toned
enough that it sounded proper as well. "Yeah Iv been traveling
for quite a long time across the land. I heard music and so I
kind of thought Id take off full speed, and well you see how
that ended up." He chuckled a bit and shrugged it off as he
slunk down into an indian style sit.
Now that he was getting a better picture of the woman, he
noticed quickly that she appeared fairly young, smaller and
petite. She was definitely cuter than any lass he'd seen thus
far anyways. "I come from a land filled of magic, and
butterflies, I come of warriors, of Knights and swords, and the
true chivalry that follows" He grinned again making it easily
known how he jest. "Actually I come from... err well I big house
quite a ways away from here. Of course he spoke of the Ancient
City, named after a hero but telling anyone that in his
predicament didn't seem all that wise. After a second of silence
he started combing through his mild length blonde hair with his
hand, mainly just a sign of the awkward boredom that had
       somewhat surfaced.
Then he broke the silence, unfortunately just in time for their
words to collide. He of course retracted first waiting for her
to speak up in turn. "Oh err yeah, kind something like that. Its
a Haste Spell that I cast upon myself to get here faster, err Im
what some might call a Magus or in the Older terms, people
called them Dusk Blades." he nodded then continued "Where I come
from the art of binding magic with Swordsmanship is not all that
uncommon, but it is looked down upon between most normal
Fighters, and other types of straight spell casters. However
what about you? I mean what you did just now Iv never seen it
done before, not even by higher level spell casters." He looked
out at her with almost fire like orange eyes and watched waiting
for her to speak up, but then his stomach took over again.
Arias looked down and kinda chuckled to himself nervously. "Well
I suppose I probably am pretty hungry aha, Umm.." he didn't need
to finish saying what he was saying outright. Instead she said
it, offering him to show him about the city to which he replied
""Oh By the Gods, I think you must be an angel especially if Im
dead, although I don't think I am.." he glanced at the flesh on
his palms again hmming to himself but let it go as he waited for
her to make her way across the water by one way or the other, he
was pretty anxious to see what this city had in store for him.
If there was an arena he might even be able to get a little bit
extra coin. "Thanks by the way its curious for people to be so
friendly to strangers, especially where I'm from, although Iv
always though unnecessary hostility was much more silly, also Im
Arias Rauvghan its nice to meet you."

Melody listened to his story with interest and gave him a smile.
Getting up, she stretched and nodded. "I see.. Ancient City
perhaps? You seem the type to come from that place. And it's
quite far away from here. We get travelers from there, most of
the time." Nodding a bit, she jumped down the rock into the
water. But there was no splash heard or seen. It was like she
just vanished without a sound. Suddenly, water morphed infront
of the man and formed into her. The water disappeared and she
just watched the man with a kind smile. "I shall lead the way.
I'm quite hungry myself." She spoke in a clear voice. She
started walking towards the sand path at the south of the
forest. "Kindness is something I've been taught. Unless you're
going to attack. Then I won't be too kind anymore." She giggled,
looking behind her to see if he followed.
Her steps were silent as she kept walking. Looking up at the sky
she just sighed a little. Something finally happened, but it
wasn't quite intruiging yet. Maybe he was the savior of the full
moon? Who knew. She turned around as they were close to town.
"I'm so sorry for my rude manners. My name is Melody. What is
your name?" She asked and gave him a friendly smile. She
wondered if he was really the hero of the legend. Sighing a bit,
she just kept walking again, seeing the moon rise already. "I
was wondering something... Do you know of the legend of the
Golden City?" She asked curiously, without looking back. As soon
as they got to the city, she showed him an inn and a bar where
he could eat if he liked. "If you don't mind, I'd like to
discuss a few things still. Is it okay if I grab a bite with
you?" Looking at him now, she waited for his answer, taking a
deep breath, feeling a bit anxious.

Of all possible ways for the woman to pass the water, he did not
expect this. Her entire body almost melted in the blink of an
eye and then reformed before him, clothes and all as if even
clothes could resolve themselves into liquid. She was special,
that much he was sure of, and it wasn't in the same old mundane
magical way that he was, this was beyond that. Arias was quick
to track behind her following as quick as he could so not to be
left behind. He could hear the birds chirping, and the closer
they got, the sound of people started to make his skin crawl.
honestly his experience concerning other people had not been too
grand, even at home people were easily, and debatably more evil
than devils in this day and age anyways.
"Oh Melody? Wow well thats an extremely fitting and pretty name
Id say." He said this with a smile and nodded assuringly to her
as they crossed the vanguard of the city to finally pass foot
upon the grand old city. He had heard of the city before, only
by the structures he could see, Arias was intelligent in his
knowledges, and the like, having read so many books on all sorts
of things. The steam off a close cooked pot of something likely
delicious coaxed him by the nose, but he reluctantly resisted to
keep on track of this woman, he was pretty curious honestly
though most likely far too shy to ask too much outright at that
       point.
They continued walking, and out of the corner of his eye he
started to see the moon rise above the shorter buildings. It was
almost a pale yellow as it took its place among the sky and
Arias couldn't help but stop for a minute. He whispered. "This
is my favorite part of the day." as he leaned up against a near
by pillar,t he world around started to fade around him and he
let his mind wander. His eyes remained transfixed however upon
the glorious beacon of light among the quickly ensuing darkness.
Silently Arias glanced over to the Lady Melody; she appeared
almost lost, perhaps in thought he assumed, but he continued
following her after a short minute of appreciation. She didn't
once look back at him, but he could hear her as she spoke to
him. The Legend of the Golden City? It seemed almost familiar by
some extent; likely something he had read in one too many books
of course, so it was vague. "Umm Sadly I know little to
       nothing.."
They passed a bar, and close next to it and Inn where he would
probably spend his night while int he city. The problem
obviously became money but he'd sweat that little detail a bit
later if possible. This time she actually made eye contact and
he did the same, ironic timing and all and of course his stomach
growled out right in that same moment. It was a curse-able
moment of embarrassment in a sense but he let it slide. "I
really don't mind, im sure were both curious what with your
water trick from earlier its been up to par with some of the
damnedest riddles in my head far as figuring out exactly what
you're about miss if Im being honest." He glanced around for a
second but didn't really know what he was looking for. "Err yeah
I am not familiar here so yeah you can lead the way aha." He
paused and waited scratching at the back of his head nervously
but ended that with a soft sigh. "Id like to hear more about
your legend of the Golden City, and what more so important; FOOD
AHOY!" He pointed onward not really knowing or bothering for
being right, it just seemed like perfect time to show some of
his silly side. As if she hadn't seen enough of that already >.>
