Re: The Differences in a Human World

Emerson could barely understand what was happening here...It was
all happening way too fast. She had just left her job an hour
early and now she had drove down to the edge of the old house
that she was visiting before. She remembered the place that she
was just at before work. She took in a deep breath and looked
down as she walked through the tall grass. It was hitting her
legs, but then she didn't mind as her boots stepped over it. Her
fingers tucked into her jean shorts, she looked up at the house
as she stepped out on the porch, smelling the fresh scent of
mulch as the flowers had been moved already. How did that work?
It had only been maybe twenty minutes since she had left the
store. She looked to the side before noticed him standing there.
"Yes I am." She looked to the side as he came closer to her, his
attractive number only growing higher as he looked over at her
before turning around to get a good look at the place with her.
Her eyes followed his before she glanced down at the floor for a
       moment.
His hand reached toward hers and she let her own rest in his.
The roughness of his palm seemed to only spark with her own. The
symbols in her palms were glowing slightly and he gave her a
compliment on being unique. She nodded her head. "Well I haven't
met another like me." She said softly as she looked up at him,
letting him take her through the door. He watched her carefully
before he smiled back at her as she was starting to feel
hesitant. She giggled slightly as they walked through the back
door and she saw the gardens that were planted in front of her.
She felt absolutely stunned at the amount of beauty that was in
front of her. She glanced at him. "It is beautiful..." She met
his eyes as he spoke of the place never going to look like what
it did before. Why did he care so much about the nature
surrounding him? Why all of the sudden attention to something
that he could tell that she loved.
He began telling her that she could answer any question she had
for him, but then, at the same time, she had to answer the
questions that he asked her just as honestly. She knew her
questions, but she waited for his questions to come between them
before she even opened her lips to speak. The words that were
coming from him was not something that she expected. "Love." She
said honestly. "All kinds of love though. I didn't mean just the
significant other type love. I want family love, best friend
love...I want all there could be involved with Love." She spoke
without hesitation. It was from her heart. It was something that
she would answer every single time. Her eyes followed over the
fields and fields of the flowers before he asked what she feared
       most. She shrugged her shoulders.
"The loss of my connection to Earth." She said softly as her
eyes downcast to the flowers that seemed practically reaching
toward her as she ran her fingers over their petals. Looking
over to him, she began her own questioning. "What gave you the
incentive to do all of this?" She watched him carefully as she
spoke. Her eyes caught his own as she waited for an answer, but
then since he gave her a second question in succession to the
first, she lifted a brow. "And you expect me to live here? I
haven't even my stuff here...and I would be living alone in this
place?" She was confused. She wanted to know why he was even
talking to her in such a way. Was it her power that he sensed
that he wanted to be a part of her life? Or was it more of her?
She wanted to know, but then she had only met him an hour or so
ago...How could that be even possible? How could he want her
like that...? How could she want him like that...?
       No personal question had arose...

He had a second and mulled over her question before he
questioningly stood up and brushed off the back of his pants,
only slightly bending forward before stretching backward and
chuckling. Looking over his shoulder at her and gently smiling
up at her still. His eyes seeming to catch hers and keep their
gaze pretty easily. "My incentive to do so was not required, if
a guy is doing something nice it shouldn't be questioned. And
although I do understand your worry you can just forget about
that and know that you're not the only person connected with the
earth..." He slowly stepped back onto the porch to where he was
now standing above her about a head taller and he smiled again,
his right index finger tilting her chin up so his eyes could
capture hers again, the pupil now liquid yellow blending with
green and a ring of pink around the outside he smiled. Blinking
once and his eyes changing back to their natural Emerald Green.
"I guarantee, you'll be safe here and that you'll love this
place and living here than anywhere else. I promise you that and
a whole lot more, you see I'm not just doing it for you, the
plants or myself. No I'm doing it for nature's sake as a
permanent resource we cannot afford to lose. But also..." He
stopped and turned back around so his body was facing hers, as
he slowly stepped closer and he leaned his head down, pressing
his lips to her cheek gently, then changing sides and pecking
her other cheek. "I will personally stay, with you, not in the
same room of course. But, I will stay with you and protect you
from any harm, help you with absolutely anything you may want.
I'll even throw in buying any kind of necessities we should ever
need at all times. If you need it, I will do whatever I can to
       get it immediately."
He had stopped himself as he brushed his thumb against her cheek
lightly and smiled. His hand falling behind his back, as he
brought it back forwards he held out a flower. The petals
curling like a rose, but colors being all from Red clear to
White and fading with every passing petal being a mix of colors
all at once. His hand stopping at a certain point as he lightly
offered it to her with yet another smile. Before finally he
looked around then at her. "I can promise you'll be happy, no
matter what happens. I'll see to it that all of your stuff is
moved into the house, by the time you go into your room tonight
in this place. That all of your belongings will be around the
house either in your room, or the family room downstairs. What
do you say to that?" So he stood up again and turned on his left
heel, making his way down the stairs and towards the fountain,
not even once to check if she was following him, but finally he
stopped and looked up. The fountain beautifully spraying water
around and the water forming at the bottom with a mist of vapor
and lights around the bottom and sides he smiled. Pulling out of
right pocket a few coins and tossing them in, all with just one
underhand toss. He sighed and scratched the back of his head. He
should have thought things through but, he'd never been one to
do so. He'd find a way to settle things and let things just go
       with the flow.
