The temperature in the office was unbearably cold. Elora
shivered as she sat in a chair, listening to the principal
berate her for her inexcusable behavior. All she could do was
nod, mumble, and try to keep from crying. She hated being in
trouble, it made her feel like the substandard citizen she had
always been treated as.
"Now, tell me Ms. Pain, what on earth made you scream?"
"I... I don't know." She whimpered.
"Do not lie to me, child."
"I'm not. I really don't...."
Before she could finish her statement, the cries of the alarm
interrupted her. Elora felt there was more to this than what was
happening, but was thankful for the temporary reprieve. The
principal began to grumble and usher her out of the office, and
towards the closet exit. With the chaos ensuing within the hall,
she took her chance and ran from the principal. She was heading
in the opposite direction as the crowd, her green eyes searching
the countless faces.
"Zoe!" She called out, turning a corner.
Her shoes screeched upon the floor as she came to an abrupt
stop. Three people stood in the hallway now, and one of them was
Zoe. The white-haired girl was also there, along with a boy with
a strangely stoic face. Elora eyed him for a moment, attempting
to figure him out. She gave up, choosing to smile at Zoe
instead.
"Zoe, I have been looking for you." She stated, her voice
overflowing with joy. "Where did you go?"
Her gaze switched to the white-haired girl, a faint smile
remaining on her lips. "Thank you for earlier. I bet you think I
am a huge scaredy cat." She chuckled, extending her hand. "I'm
Elora."
The bellows of the principal kept her from addressing the boy,
her eyes filling with fear. She glanced at Zoe, stepped in front
of the girl and kissed her on the cheek. With this done, Elora
hugged her and stepped away, heading for the back door.
"Zoe, if you need me, I'll be in the woods. I can't stay here
anymore, at least not today." She smiled and stepped out the
back door, sprinting for the tree line.

~As the halls emptied, Demarious sensed that interesting
presence from earlier. Looking behind him his gaze fell upon a
teenage woman with white/silver hair. "So she was the one I
sensed" whispering to himself, his thought process interrupted
as a red headed woman now stood in front of him. He observed
this female and was slightly amused. Dema's sadistic side was
beginning to surface due to the irritation that was growing from
having to endure this ridiculous torture called school. Before
the unique dark skinned woman made her way by Demarious and the
female in front of him he spoke softly. "Why are you leaving?...
A creature of your stature shouldn't be worried or bothered by
such a tedious alarm." He chuckled lightly turning to the red
head now. She was quite particular, it seemed as if she in
search of someone, searching frantically. "I suppose you are
right, but someone such as my self am not bothered. This alarm
was pulled for a soul purpose not because of an emergency. You
should follow your own advice and vacate the area. I'm sure who
ever it is you are looking for is outside with the others. I
will see you around." He was calm and collected as he spoke to
this woman. Now turning his interest to the young woman who
peaked his curiosity wondering if she would stop to talk to him
or continue on her way. The sound of sliding shoes across the
reflective floor of the school echoed through the hallways, a
woman screaming for he would guess this woman standing in front
of him. "It seems the one you seek has found you." He noticed
the female observing him as he cocked a brow. Rolling his eyes
slowly he stood straight form his leaning posture against the
door frame moments ago.~

Seeing his rescue attempt had gone completely awry, agitation
etched itself upon his lips. With a shrug, though, Victor sighed
and walked down the hall. 'I guess that's what I get, for trying
to help someone. Whatever.' He thought, to himself, as he
continued his trek down the long corridor. 'Something is going
to give, and soon.' It would be evident to anyone he walked
past, that the teen was agitated, but he dared anyone to try
stopping him.
So, making his way down the hall, he Victor looked up and saw
the red headed girl and the dark skinned girl, and some 'cool'
guy leaning against the wall. Unimpressed, the youth made no
effort to hide what he did next. He knew he was different, but
it was more evident when he walked past a light switch and could
actually 'hear' something calling out to him; the machines
themselves. 'I wonder..'
As he walked, though, Victor looked up at the 'cool' guy
standing in the doorway as though he was someone of any
significance. He held no interest in this creature, no, his only
goal was to penetrate the central computer access room down the
hall from the office. So, as he walked, Victor found the door
and grinned. 'Perfect. I can use one of these computers, to find
out why I can do things and why I'm so compelled to do certain
things..'
Making his way into the lab, then to one computer which had
internet access, he placed his hand over the keyboard. However,
as soon as he did, Victor noticed that he didn't need to even
touch the plastic extension. So, experimenting, he began
attempting to 'type' without actually touching the keys; surely
enough, the corresponding keys responded as though being
touched. 'Woah.. Wicked..'
Having made the discovery that he could type without physically
touching the keyboard, Victor then wondered if he could type
without moving his hand; soon testing and confirming that he
could indeed manipulate the input device into placing words on
the screen with just a thought. So, looking to the mouse, he got
an idea; attempting to, and eventually succeeding to move the
cursor without touching the mouse; clicking on, and opening the
internet browser.
Knowing he didn't have much time before the fire alarm was shut
off, Victor went to the google search engine and soon found
himself looking up exactly what he'd done; making the startling
realization that he was in fact different... a technopath. So,
digging further, he came upon things such as nanobots and other
things; also coming to the realization that as what he now knew
he was, he could do unspeakable things with computers. Also that
he could create, program, and other things; bringing a vile grin
to his lips.
'Hmm.. lets see then...' Then, standing up, he stepped back; the
fire alarm still going off in the hall. Holding his hand in
front of the computer, Victor watched as the machine began to
separate; soon reconstructing as a much smaller collection of
nanobots. The tiny machines forming a cloud in front of him,
Victor began looking around, he spotted another computer; a
laptop, which soon decompiled and recompiled into another cloud
of nanobots; leaving only a small collection of unused material.
'Excellent..'
Soon, he motioned the group to the small pile of remaining
debris; using his newly discovered psychic connections with
them, to instruct the clouds to create a containment center in
which to house them. Once that task was completed, he picked the
small ball up and pushed the release hatch. When he did this,
the spherical device was ready to accept it's soon to be
inhabitants; the tiny bots taking their place within the ball
before it closed. Then, he slipped the small ball into one of
his pockets; grinning. This would be a new beginning, truly.
'Hmm.. Victor.. I don't like it.. I think..' He turned back to
the door, then thought for a moment. 'Hmm... perhaps..' Raising
his right hand again, this time to another computer, so he could
feel the connection; he began to search the web again, standing
a foot from the computer.. Searching, this time, for a name that
seemed cool. Searching for what seemed like ages, he found one..
his new name; Matrix. 'That. Heh. From this day forward... These
people will come to know me as Matrix.' He lowered his hand,
then, and began walking to the door to leave the lab; wondering
if that 'cool' guy was still in the hallway.

The teacher ushered the teens out of the class, the subject of
algebra no longer on anyone's mind as the alarm blared through
the whole entire school. Dash, who had been sitting awkward and
quietly in her chair, waited for the panicked kids - or rather
happy kids for they now got a free ticket out of the class -
leave and head to the instructed areas for their safety before
she stood up from her seat. It was better not to fight with
crowds in dangerous situations, but waiting apparently wasn't
enough for her to avoid the vicious crows. Dash was pushed,
shoved, thrown, and punched out of the school building. She
stumbled to gain her balance when she finally broke free from
the surge of people outside. With her hands on her knees to not
only catch her breath but to also attempt to console the pain in
her abdomen from being shoved so much, Dash looked around. Her
eyes were wide, searching for the fire, or danger that caused
someone to pull the alarm. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Everyone
was safe, there was no fire or danger. Yet the alarm was pulled.
Curiosity got the best of the girl. Who had pulled it? Why did
they pull it? Those were only a few questions she tossed around
in her head as she squeezed her way back into the building. The
halls appeared to be empty. Dash roamed them aimlessly, arms
swinging carelessly and an awkward bounce in her step, her gaze
dreamy and blurry, not really paying attention to where she was
going.

Zoe. . . Who is this woman and why was the brunette so adamant
on finding her? It must have been the red head she was hanging
out with earlier. Were they best friends? They must play a lot
together! Though, this woman didn't seem that powerful, she
guessed they played at far lower levels than Tempest, Mahoe, and
Rilla had when she was younger. Tempest simply nodded, blue eyes
closing for a few seconds as she showed her understanding. She
took the girl's hand and offered a small shake. "You're welcome,
Elora.." This was the first time that Tempest had spoken to a
student since she was admitted into the school; hell, the first
time she had spoken to anyone other than her 'family' Rilla, and
friend Mahoe. Her voice would come off odd to any listener, as
it held three distinct vocals: One is that of a teenage girl,
which is the most prominent. Second would be an almost angelic
sweet voice. Third is a more powerful voice with a more Cajun
flavor. They melded together perfectly and spoke in perfect
unison, yet the teen voice would be more noticeable. "I'm
Tempest. You did seem rather afraid, but why?" Before she could
get her answer though, Elora was carted off by a lead figure.
Shrugging, she caught wind of the boy who was standing within
the doorway. He seemed cocky and sure of himself. . And, Tempest
as well. The boy really could read power, even though Tempest
wasn't exuding any radical auraic power; but her natural aura
would be powerful enough regardless of suppression. "My stature?
I'm just curious. And, why not leave? I don't like being cramped
in these halls anyway; too many closed spaces. Besides, the
commotion is quite entertaining, right?" She said with a smirk
as she continued down the hallway and was almost ran into by a
cute blonde who merrily waded her way against the flow of
traffic through the halls. Tempest would make her way outside if
she wasn't stopped yet again...

Her feet hit the ground hard, carrying her quickly towards the
forest. She didn’t stop once she reached the woods, instead
continued to run for a moment longer. When Elora did stop, she
collapsed in on herself and began to weep immensely. A feeling
of sorrow and desperation fell over her. She truly wished her
mother was there to comfort her at this moment, her mother would
know exactly what to say.
‘Elora, you are being ridiculous.’ Her mother would say.
“No, I’m not! No one likes me! I got in trouble and I didn’t
even make it to class. My entire schedule is ruined!”
‘You are acting like a child, Elora.’ This was Eroan, his no
nonsense, brotherly affection evident in his voice.
“Yea, well I am still a child, Eroan. So just shut up!”
After a few moments, though, her tears ceased to fall, and she
returned to her feet. The forest had always been her sanctuary,
always grounded her when she felt out of control. The trees had
always called out to her, spoken to her in their ancient
language. They did not necessarily bend to her will, but they
assisted her when she asked it of them.
As she regained control of herself, she returned to the edge of
the forest and stared at the school with wanting. Her green eyes
hoped to find Zoe, to speak with the girl and see if they truly
were friends. Victor too, as well as Shawn and perhaps Tempest.
There was so much potential within the school, the likes that
still gave Elora hope.
‘You know we are part of a grander scheme, don’t you?’ Eroan
piped in.
“I do, but I haven’t figured it out yet.”
‘We will, soon enough, Elora.’
“I know.”

Zoe sighed realizing this was not the place for her. The sudden
realization dawning upon her. So with out further adieu she
turned from the man and exited the front of the building.
Heading up the drive way. She had given the school a chance now
it was time to go. She called her mother and father. While they
were none to happy, they relented. Then she called her driver.
With out saying good bye to any one in the school she climbs
into the car. "My time here is done John. To the air port." The
driver nods and looks forward as they pull away from the school.

It was just her luck. She should have seen it coming and avoided
it somehow, but of course Dash doesn't think of the future! She
thinks of the now! You've got to live life to the fullest, and
apparently it entailed running -or almost running- into people.
Her petite shoulder just barely brushed with that of another
woman, one who looked very exotic. Pretty, very pretty. Not many
people could pull off the look the woman had, but it worked
perfectly for her. Before Dash could mutter her apologies to the
other girly, she had made her way around Dash and was headed to
the exit. Dash's eyes widened, the blue hues sparkling in the
bright light of the flashing alarm - the blare of the alarm had
no effect on her, the pitch and frequency did not hurt her ears
and annoy her like many other people. "Hey!" Dash called out to
the exotic woman, a hand waving in the air to flag her down if
she did happen to look over her shoulder for the dumbhead who
was calling out to her. She began to run slightly after the
woman, poking the back of her shoulder once she was close enough
if the woman hadn't already turned around. "Sorry about running
into you, I wasn't paying attention and I was curious about who
pulled the alarm and I just had to know why they did it and one
time I pulled the alarm at my old school I got into a lot of
trouble actually I got expelled which is why I am here Why are
you here I like your look it totally works for you you're very
pretty you know Do you have any friends here I've been here a
year and I don't have any yet well except for the literature
teacher she gives me books to read and we talk about them all
the time I like reading but I also like...." Dash's smooth
voice, sweet as pie, trailed off, her eyes widening in horror as
she realized what she just did. Leave it to her to ramble on
about completely nothing. When she rambled she left no pauses,
pushing on to another thought without really completing the last
- she hadn't even taken a breath, so when she stopped she panted
for air.

Looking out the door of the lab, Matrix knew he'd need more
nanobots if he wanted to do something of a grander scale. So,
mentally accessing the ball's controls, he allowed the nanoswarm
to leave the ball and rush around the room; reconstructing each
computer into a nanocloud; the small pile of remnants would then
be reconstructed into containment zones; more spherical objects.
"Yes. That's right, my pets.. yes.." He chuckled; smirking as
the swarms went into each corresponding ball.
Waiting, he decided to give the first swarm a command; to bring
the balls to him and place them upon his belt. "Very.. very
nice." A chuckle leaving his lips, he now had all the tools he
would need; what's best, the 'theft' of the computers would be
blamed upon some random person; possibly the student body
president. But, whatever happened next, the teen made himself
scarce of the scene; quickly slipping from the lab and into the
chaotic sea of disarray in the halls.
So, now, he made his way through the crowd and began heading
back towards the 'cool' guy; having decided it was time to
begin. However, when he found the guy leaning against the
doorframe, he noticed the dark skinned woman who'd nearly caused
a disruption with the orb in his chest seemingly trying to walk
away. Deciding the best course of action, he continued forward;
coming to a stop, Matrix called one of the spheres on his belt
to construct a shielding agent to block out interruptions.
When the orb he called on acted, it seemed to emit a 'pouring'
action; the cloud emptying from the containment zone. With a
smirk, looking to the 'cool' guy, he looked to the cloud and it
began moving through the air; swarming into lockers and other
closed areas; searching for a leather jacket. 'Go on, my pets.'
The command would be heard, by the nanocloud but all the 'cool'
guy, and anyone watching would see was a locker vanishing; as if
being consumed; then the same 'cloud' moving back to it's master
and delivering the jacket which miraculously fit. The cloud then
returned to it's containment zone on his belt as he looked to
the 'cool' guy and whoever may be around.
Finally, he spoke to the guy; he didn't seem affected, much at
all. "Hmm.. Aren't you an interesting one. Even in this.." He
chuckled, knowing he'd caused the panic in the halls, before
speaking again. "... chaotic situation, you don't seem
concerned, in the least. It seems you knew something would
happen, or that you simply don't care. Color me curious, but you
don't seem concerned with this beautiful mess in the least. What
you saw.. With the jacket.. That wasn't a magic trick."
