As he examined the electrical outlet, Victor couldn't help but
overhear the others around; passing conversations about mindless
drab, mostly. Finally deciding that this port was virtually
useless, he sighed and stepped away; heading into the office.
Walking past the teachers and other office inhabiting inferiors,
he quickly spotted the video cameras and computers; knowing he
would capture them eventually. Concealing a few knives,
lighters, and other things in his pockets, the youth made his
way to his counselor's office; a look of disdain upon his face.
'What a pain in the ass..' Victor thought to himself when the
man behind the desk handed him the schedule. If it wasn't for
his heart condition, the teenager would show these slumdogs what
it meant to be the best. Maybe when his father completed his
research, the youth would take and use his advances to his
advantage. With a sigh escaping his lips as he made his way from
the office, back into the long seemingly endless corridors, Vic
comes upon two women talking; though he watches silently; goatee
shimmering in the light.
"It's obvious we're in some sort of a school.. But why.." It
seemed these two were dealing with some 'inner demon' or
something of the like; such a pity. He shook his head as he slid
a hand into his right front pocket; knowing he'd either find one
of his handy data cords, or a knife. Having given his current
situation a bit of thought, deciding the best course of action,
Victor sauntered up to the two as casually as possible and
spoke. "Hmm.. hello there." He offers, not expecting them to
respond; taking them for the snobbish type his father often made
fools of.

"I-I believe you. You two have been arguing haven't you? I've
heard muffled sounds since I've met you, sounding like arguing.
I can't make out the words. But it makes me hear locusts when
you do." Zoe looked away unsure of herself. She wondered if she
sounded insane? Her attention fell on that of a man in the
building. She squeezed Elora's hand as he was approaching them.
Was he a teacher? Or someone there to get her in trouble? When
he finally spoke all he said was hello. Her eyes narrowed on him
as she tried to figure out exactly what to say to him. He seemed
young. In his twenties. Maybe he could be a teacher but she
doubted it.
"H-hello." Zoe stammered. She gazed back to Elora wondering what
to do now. Was he going to escort them to class? She wasn't
sure. She did want to spend time with her new friend and she
didn't want to be here, so she couldn't help but feel her
spirits sinking in disappointment as she started to think they
wouldn't be able to leave. "Um m-may I h-help you?" She didn't
have a stutter. She was just very nervous. She stood there, her
grip on Elora's hand still tight as she chewed her lip eyeing
the man.

Elora smiled more warmly at the girl, and her unease began to
melt away immediately. This girl appeared to be human, but was
far more unique than Elora had first thought. Finally she was
not the only unique person around. In fact, she had felt a large
number of unique people here, including Shawn. She squeezed
Zoe’s hand in an attempt to be reassuring.
“You honestly do not want to hear what we are arguing about.
Eroan is being a boy, and well, a bit of a prick.” She spoke
calmly, unafraid to share secrets with this girl any longer.
Maybe she had finally made a friend. “You’re not crazy though, I
promise you. You have gifts, just as most of us here do. We are
all unique in our own ways.”
She paused, displaying her pointed ears once more. “I’m an elf,
Zoe, well a half-elf. I know how you feel when it comes….”
Elora’s words were cut short by the shadow that fell over her
shoulder. Her reaction was similar to Zoe’s, because she was
unsure if this guy was part of the faculty or not. Her gaze
moved over him, pausing momentarily on the glow of light on his
chest. He didn’t seem to be a teacher or administrator, but an
uneasy feeling moved through Elora as she stared at him.
Something was off about this boy.
“Umm, hi.” She replied, moving closer to Zoe. The grip of the
girl’s hand on her hand was tight, but not uncomfortable.
A slightly pungent odor met Elora’s, and her gaze moved to the
boy’s hand buried in his pocket. It was the smell of metal, a
knife. But why would the boy have a knife at school? Again,
Elora stepped closer to Zoe, until her side met the girl’s. Her
body trembled at the implications of the hidden weapon. Was he
going to harm them for being out in the halls when they should
be in class? She surely hoped not.
‘Just kick his ass, Elora. I’ll help you.’ Eroan’s tone was
defensive, more like the twin brother he used to be. He wanted
to protect his sister, even if he did have an ulterior motive
“What can we do for you, Sir?” Elora asked, before whispering in
Zoe’s ear, “I think we should get going. Something bad is going
to happen, I can smell it.”

Looking at the two, Victor could tell something was up. Having
overheard the one tell the other she was some sort of an elf, he
sighed to himself; relieved, his hand relaxing and withdrawing
from his pocket. The hand he withdrew would be empty, though,
since he'd realized he hadn't been in need of protection. Maybe,
he'd actually find a friend for once and not need to rely on his
father's technology.
When he was called 'Sir' his right eye involuntarily twitched
and he tilted his head; looking at the two. A chuckle echoed
from his throat as he shook his head and averted his eyes. "If
you think I'm here, to do anything violent, I'm not. I'm
guessing the both of you are students at this place. I am too."
Following the one girl's gaze, which lead to his chest, Victor
sighed; realizing they must think something was up.
"You'll come to know me as Victor. Please don't be alarmed. I
know you're probably thinking this.." As he spoke, he raised his
right hand to his chest and the light, shaking his head. "Is a
bomb, but it's not. I'm just different, like both of you.. Like
most everyone else at this place. I'm just different, in a
different way." With a sigh escaping his lips, he figured he may
as well simply move on, so he spoke again. "I guess I'll be on
my way. If I've frightened either of you, it was not my
intention. I was only looking for friends." It was obvious he
simply wanted to fit in, somewhere.

"Finally.." The three voices of Tempest spoke in unison as she
finally received her paper work and was admitted into the
school. No telling if she would be staying here long anyway;
this just didn't seem like her kind of place. Too many confined
spaces made her feel on edge and claustrophobic; she hated small
spaces and did her best to avoid them. As she stood to her feet,
The Maridan felt the pressures in the building change and heard
the faint noise of a fight going on. Though quick, it was surely
something worth watching. NOW, this place is getting really
interesting! Without a second's notice, Tempest's body erupted
in electricity and vanished, only to appear mere nano seconds
later at the site of the fight, her appearance being accompanied
by sparks, lightning, and a thunderous thunder crackle. Blue
eyes surveyed the scene and the people around, quietly taking in
the aftermath of this 'fight'. Either that one guy was powerful,
or the man on the ground was just a loud mouth weakling. That
has yet to be seen. Granted, all was not lost: Tempest just so
happen to arrive to see the two girls again, this time
accompanied by some funny looking man; he seemed very peculiar.
Oh well, she guessed the fun was over with now..

The kid took a huff as he held the ball under his arm as if it
were a wing. His head warm but he wasn't sweating at all, no he
was quite cold indeed. His skin just as cold as steel like
before. His shorts were replaced again with his jeans and his
top had been removed as he slid his arms through the sleeves of
his hoody. His hair being flung around as he put the hood up
again. "Place sucks like always...can't wait to be out
finally..." He stopped just in time to replace everything in his
locker and lock it up, making his way out the door to the gym
just in time to watch another student rush in and he shrugged.
Walking down the hallway and making his way through the crowd
his eyes closed as he passed and looked to the side at the
football player who was hunched over. One of the only slightly
normal students who was a loud mouth wherever he went. "Serves
you right Trent..." He chuckled and kept his pace through the
crowd as he saw a girl appear with a loud crackling. He raised a
brow in intrigue and shook his head. 'Another time...' he
thought to himself as he kept on his way down the hall. Seeing
the girl he knew to be Elora with another girl who seemed newer
than her, and another male student who seemed to have not only
hidden motives and a subjective choice in his conversations but
something was off about everyone at the school.
As it was just a normal thing around here he shook his head and
made his way towards them. His eyes closed and hands in the
pockets of his hoody as he made his way towards the woman and
walked past the male without a second glance. His body stopping
between them and him his eyes opening only to glance at them
both. "Shall I escort us to the office then? See if the
principal has any quarrels with us changing schedule?" His voice
light as he slowly looked at the girls then looked at the
nearest clock and shrugged. "I had gym already, I don't need to
go to any other class really. Let us be off then ladies." He
stopped his voice abruptly and merely put a warm hand on their
shoulders, his feet keeping a slower pace and walking them
towards the office as he slowly looked around as he usually did.

Zoe smiled as more people gathered around her and Elora. Yes she
wished to have private time with her, but she was also excited
that she may have a chance to make some new friends. She would
have plenty of time to hang out with Elora, she wouldn't however
have a chance to make some new friends. She looked to Elora
hoping she would have some sort of plan. She realized that the
man needed some friends as did the other boy that had joined
their little group. Had she just inserted herself into a click?
If Elora kept her promise, which Zoe was sure she would this
year would be amazing. Now she understood why she was sent here.
But she knew she had much more to learn. All of which she would
learn soon enough. Like what she was, how that changed who she
was. What she was going to do with the new things she learned.
This year held the possibility of excitement, wonder, new
friendships and so much more. Zoe couldn't wait.

A headache began to pierce its way into her mind, enough to
cause Eroan to groan. Never in her life had she been the focus
of so much attention, not in a positive manner; at least she
hoped it was positive. Elora remained close to Zoe as she stared
at the man who introduced himself as Victor. There certainly was
something unsettling about him, but she could not put her finger
upon it just yet.
Yet, sadness fell upon her as he began to turn away from them.
He wanted to make friends just as she had. She couldn’t be cruel
to him, not as so many others had done to her. Unlike her
brother, she retained her kindness in hopes that one day it
would be returned. She reached out her hand for him, just as
Shawn stepped into her line of sight.
“Oh, hi Shawn.” Her voice was a whisper, her neck turning to
look at Victor for a moment, before returning to Shawn.
As she listened to Shawn, and is desire to change her schedule
and assumedly Zoe’s, she wondered why he had cut the other boy
off. It didn’t seem all that nice in her mind, but perhaps he
had thought that Victor was being a bother to both of them.
Flashing a faint smile toward Shawn, she glanced at Victor as
the boy directed them towards the office.
“No need to apologize, Victor,” She started, “misunderstandings
happen all the time.” As she spoke to him, she glanced at Shawn
then back towards the other boy. “Friends are always great. And
I will gladly be your friend, as long as you aren’t crazy or
anything.” She giggled and flashed a fully genuine smile, still
being lead towards the office. “I’ll…. We’ll see you around,
okay Victor?”
Elora’s gaze then moved to Zoe, and on to Shawn. She tugged on
the boy’s hoodie, in hopes of getting his full attention. She
didn’t really want to go to the office just yet. She wanted to
go back into the woods, in hopes that she could breathe a bit
easier. The air within the school felt stifling at the moment,
perhaps because of all the eyes that were upon her.
“Umm, Shawn. Could we wait until to tomorrow to change our
schedules? I really want to get out of here right now. Something
doesn’t feel right today, and it’s starting to bug me.” She
threw Zoe a glance, hoping the girl would agree with her.
“Please! I know I must sound….”
Elora’s words were cut short by the residual echo of the
crashing thunder and sizzling lighting that bounced through the
hall. Releasing Zoe’s hand, she fell to her knees and covered
her ears. A blood curdling scream left her lips, echoing
throughout the hallway; certain attract the attention of the
principal and other faculty members. But Elora had always been
deathly afraid of lightning; as well as thunder, since it
accompanied the electrical bolts.
“What the hell is that!” She screamed.

Having never truly fit in anywhere, the young teenager found
himself again being alienated from the two people who seemed to
actually not mind him too much; by some arrogant and obviously
self centered cretin. 'Fucking asshole.. Who the hell does this
prick think he is? How rude.' It wasn't the first time he'd had
to teach some punk a lesson in manners and it likely wouldn't be
the last. All Victor wanted, was someone to talk to and instead
some worthless cretin would attempt to silence it. "How rude."
It was obvious that the tension was high, only rising now that
captain asshole had made his appearance; making the worst
mistake he'd made thus-far. Anger was welling within Victor's
body, but he did his best to contain it; merely for the sake of
not scaring the ladies. When Elora spoke, even though the rude
peon had so blatantly interrupted their conversation, he
responded as gladly as possible. "Yea.. I guess.." The
overwhelming feeling of loneliness soon washed over him again as
he sighed.
Despite the incoming electrical force his implant was
experiencing, Victor looked towards the screaming Elora and took
off towards her; realizing that the jackass walking with her
wouldn't even attempt to comfort her, he darted towards the
woman who screamed; wincing at the loudness. The closer the
electricity came, the more pain surged through his body; yet he
still went to her.
He hadn't even considered that he may die, or that for all he
knew, all these people wanted him dead. Still, he fought the
pain caused by the power surge to comfort her. "It's not going
to hurt you. I'll take it.." He spoke, standing in a way to
shield her even though it could likely kill him.

As Tempest finished forming, electricity sparked around her body
as if snakes coiling about her frame; appearing for less than a
moment, but bright enough to be seen and even make the hair of
others stand on end. Soon, the sparks died down as the Maridian
watched the happenings about her. There were more people in this
little group than she had originally seen, maybe they were
hiding or just wasn't talking directly to their group the few
moments that Tempest had shown up. Blue eyes widened as the
brown haired woman broke down and shrieked as if she was being
tortured. She tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, confused,
and intrigued. Maybe one of the guys there had caused her to
scream, or maybe it was her? The way she had entered wasn't
exactly subtle. But, why would anyone be afraid of a little
thunder? She couldn't understand it. She knew her power was
great, but she showed barely a fraction of it. Then, there was a
man standing guard it seemed, over the yelling woman. Slowly,
Tempest made her way over to them, the look in her eyes showed
little concern, or care of the guard who stood steadfast before
her. She didn't speak, only offered her hand to Elora as the
others looked on.
