"If you are looking for sympathy I'm not one to give it. I
apologize for what you thought was ignorance but in truth I'd be
lying if I said I meant to do it." He shook his head, his eyes
again meeting her green glare. His eyes full of what seemed like
nothingness, no emotion, no feeling... It seemed like he was at
a lack of anything at the moment and he put a light grip on her
hand, slowly resting her arm in it's place at her side.
"I appreciate the compliment, but your brother will have a fit,
please no contact and I know I'm cold for saying this but you
should focus on your studies and your brother, the two things
that interest you most. Not some cute prick, as you put it, who
shouldn't know a thing of what's going on. Besides, I have gym
class next and coach will have a fit if he saw me skip out on
it." He shook his head in disapproval. Lifting her books and
setting them in her arms again.
"Get to your second period class, and don't think of what I've
said, focus on studying and anything else you want. Just not
this cute, arrogant, ignorant prick... I'm of no real use
anyway." He shook his head and his glance changed from her to
the nearest digital clock as it flicked a minute and the bell
went off. "Have fun and keep to your books, don't use your mind
to try and fathom anything I said. You haven't a need for a
person like me in your life..." He slowly turned around, just as
the clock skipped again, then the bell sounded and soon the
crowd was out and people scattered around. Though his hood was
seen making a right in the four way he was as he said, going to
gym, and he disappeared with the crowd soon enough and into the
       locker room a second afterward.

~It was that time again, it felt the summer vacation had only
started just yesterday. A quiet sigh seeping though thin lips as
the young man sat up in bed. Rubbing his eyes and moving raven
strands from his line of sight. Now rising to his feet,
stretching his arms and cracking his back he stumbled forward.
"I really wish father would send me to school but I suppose it
is for the better to keep those who might be after me away."
Going to the bathroom to take a leak and prepare himself for the
first day of his junior year of high school. Wondering if there
would be any other creatures like himself there only questioned
if he should really go or not. "Demarious?.. Are you up son?
You're going to be late for your first day." The deep tone of
his father's vocals echoed through out the halls of the mansion
they resided in. Demarious threw on a pair of black jeans,
stumbling forward trying to button them as he poked his head out
the door to his bed room. "Ya pop, I'm up..... Be down in a
minute." Speaking loudly while turning on a heel to go to where
his t-shirts were pulling a plain white t-shirt out and throwing
       it over his torso.~
~Grabbing his back pack, he jumped down the stairs and vanished,
to reappear in the kitchen with his father. "Hey pop, i'm off."
His old man just turned and nodded as Demarious vanished once
more and appeared down the street from his house to keep people
off his trail and so they would not know where he lives.
Sighing once more a voice from the confines of his entity rang
out. "Do not worry boy, I will help you maintain your power
level so no attention will be attracted to you." Dema smiled
and nodded. He was now walking through the main gates of the
school as he observed all the other teenagers laughing and
conversing with one another. Demarious was a transfer student
and knew no one here. He figured he would just keep to himself
as he walked into his home room and took a seat in the back.
The teacher greeted him as he walked by. "Let the hell begin he
       thought to himself."~

The building came into view. She wasn't quite sure how she was
going to fit into this place. She shifted uncomfortably in her
seat. She knew she was late, but her flight had been late. Her
parents had sent her here. She turned to the driver and glared.
"Hey, I'm just the driver. It's not my fault you don't want to
be here. I got a job to keep Miss Caldwell." Zoe crossed her
arms and glared out the windshield.
Once they were parked she jumped out and ran around to the back
of the car waiting for the driver to pop the trunk. Once he did
she grabbed her bag and suit case. "I've got it John. You are
dismissed." With that she pulled up the handle and headed up the
       drive way.
She walked in and was lost instantly. She never did have a sense
of direction. Where was the damned office? She looked down at
her bag then looked around. Hoping to find a student or a
       teacher or a staff member.
(Sorry, I know it sucks. I can't jump into role plays very
       well.)

She tried to follow him, to stay close, but the crowd around
them had grown too thick. A heavy, saddened feeling settled into
her stomach as she tried to push through the throng of bodies.
There was no use, he would be long gone, and she would miss her
second class. She wanted to speak with him more, to understand
       what he had truly meant.
“Shawn, please don’t go.” She whispered, standing in the middle
       of the intersection.
As the seconds moved on, the crowd lessened in density, but
still she remained with her gaze fixated towards the gym. Her
day certainly was not going as she had planned it to go, and it
continued to spiral away from her. How could things have gotten
so bad simply by waking up late? She could not fathom the
       implications of such things.
Yet, instead of heading towards her second period class, Elora
headed towards the door she had used to enter the school. It
remained ajar from where the boy had opened it for her, and she
pushed it completely open. She stepped onto the green grass,
closing the door behind her, and made her way toward a bench at
       the edge of campus.
Depositing her books upon the bench, she sank down and began to
weep. Her hands moved to cover her face as she sobbed, her
shoulders shaking with the movements. Eroan’s protests echoed
within her mind, but she ignored them. It was happening again,
only this time she herself was doing it. She felt ostracized by
the kids here as she did at all the other school she had
       attended.
“Will it ever change?” She asked.
‘It would if you were more assertive, like me.’
“Yea, like I am going to let you have control of my body…”

He had changed and was the first to do so and he was about to
make his way to the gym until the coach grabbed his shoulder.
"Not so fast hotshot, Gym outside, we all know mister ice man
can use this heat. You're like a freaking walk in freezer kid.
You can use the sunlight." His shorts were breezy as he pushed
into the gym, then outward to the track area. His basketball
shirt with name across the back. Number below it adorning his
upper body. He was about to make his way to the basketball court
until he saw the girl, the same one who had been in the hall.
His tennis shoes seeming to make no sound as he stepped closer
and knelt down to her, poking her exposed knee with a densely
cold finger. "Talking to yourself, or your brother and crying on
the bench isn't exactly going to second period you know..." He
stopped as he knew he wasn't helping and scratched behind his
head. His full body now seen and he was quite muscular, and his
hair was scattered, and spiked in some areas.
His voice again echoing to her as he spoke. "I know for a fact
you aren't weeping for being happy, no you are far from it, it
would seem just the opposite." He sighed and put a hand over his
eyes before looking up and shaking his head, his eyes locking to
hers again. "Listen don't get me wrong you're a beautiful young
woman, there isn't a man alive who would take that opinion from
me, but you can't dwell on things, tell me what's wrong... I'll
help however I can..." He stopped again, and took her hand in
his own, his skin now warmer and comforting to the touch as he
sat on the bench next to her.

When the hand touched her knee, she looked up and saw the boy. A
sigh left her lips as she stared into his beautiful eyes. And
though she wished them to stop, the tears continue to roll down
her face. As they did, she pushed the hair out of her face and
       looked towards the school.
“I am far from happy, and I am arguing with Eroan because he
wants control of my body.” She started, and looked back into the
boys eyes. “I have never been accepted, anywhere I have gone.
Although each of the other schools was entirely human, I have
never been seen as their equal. All they saw was a half-breed
       that was beneath them”
Elora wasn’t sure why she spilled her guts to this boy; but his
touch felt comforting, even more so when he grabbed her hand.
Before she realized what she was doing, she rested her head upon
his shoulder and continued to sob. She hated the fact that he
was seeing her like this, acting more human than elf, but she
had nearly had enough of this messed up world.
‘You really are an idiot, Elora. You should seriously let me
have control for a little while, people will not think lesser of
       you anymore.’
“No, I am not going to have people being scared of me or feeling
intimidated. That is you Eroan, not me.”
‘Fine, but I will take control soon or later, you wait and see.’
Closing her eyes, Elora moved closer to the boy out of instinct.
Her hand squeezed his lightly, and the tears began to slow. She
needed to clear her mind, and she was trying to, but this boy
was only making it more difficult.
“You didn’t have to come over here, you know. It’s not entirely
your fault that I am crying, though you have frustrated me quite
       thoroughly”

He nodded and felt her move closer, soon her head against his
shoulder and his body was warmer still. The cool breeze flowing
around them as he looked down at her, his thumb lightly resting
on her cheek after it brushed a tear away.
"I know what I could and couldn't do, but I cause parts of this
and I am only trying to help is all." After realizing how she
spoke of being different and such he laughed and shook his head.
"Listen Elora, you are far from different in this school.
Actually this school is for the outcasts in other schools.
Believe me if you don't have anything wrong with you then that's
exactly what's wrong. You aren't different or unique in some
way. And having your brother share the same body and he can take
control, whether it's for better or worse is what he decides to
       do..."
He shook his head again seeing the girls and boys of his gym
class pour into the track and different fields. Then he finally
looked at her again, placing both of his hands into hers and
smiled. "I tell you what, have your schedule changed, take gym
second with me and last period change it to History. The
teachers won't care, and the principal will only ask why, just
tell him you want the change. I guarantee you'll get it with a
word from me. Though we can't really talk in gym, cause you know
basketball practice, but I can walk you to and from class...
Promise." With a smile he held up he locked his pinky with hers
and kissed her head. "Have fun, keep your chin up, go to the
office now and ask for the change. I'll see you around we can
talk whenever you like..." With that he smiled again slowly
standing and stretching his back, leaning down to peck her cheek
and then turned to walk away. Before waving and winking at her
as he made for the basketball court.

She sighed wondering where to go. She had seen very few students
here, but she had seen one. But she seemed upset as she went
past. Probably best not to bother her. Instead she continued
down the hall looking for the office. She found a door way to
the outside. Her mind raced back to her home. She hated her old
home. Everybody wanted to be her friend, because of her money.
She could never tell who was friends and who wasn't. So now she
planned not to tell anyone her families wealth. It was too much
       risk.
The year before her best friend had been her friend only because
she was rich. The girl she trusted. Baked cookies with...had
sleep overs with...She remembered walking into the bathroom one
       day...
Zoe walked into the bathroom after second period. She shut the
stall door and took a deep breath before sitting down to relieve
her bladder. She heard the door open. Two girls walked in both
giggling. She recognized Becky's voice. Becky her best friend.
Zoe was just about to announce her presence when Becky giggled
and spoke. "Yeah, so I got Zoe to buy me the dress. It was two
       thousand bucks!"
"No way!" The voice belonged to a girl she wasn't particularly
fond of, Jennifer. Jennifer giggled and walked across the floor.
"God she's so stupid. Oh well, milk that cash cow for what it's
worth. You could suck her up for years to come. Hell, stay
friends with her after high school, you could be set for life!"
Tears sprang to Zoe's eyes. The one person she
       trusted...Jennifer, wasn't a true friend?
"I know she's so trusting. But I hate her. I can't wait till the
day I knock that dumb bitch down a peg." Jennifer said. Zoe
flushed the toilet and rushed from the bathroom. She didn't need
       to hear anymore...
She headed out the doors trying not to remember the experience
anymore. So instead she thought about finding someone. Up ahead
of her she saw a girl sitting on a bench. The one who she had
seen earlier. She was indeed upset. Now someone else was there.
He seemed to be comforting her. She walked up slowly. "Excuse
me. I don't mean to interrupt, but I'm a bit lost."

“I didn’t think of it that way. I mean I knew the school was
       different, but not that different.”
‘I told you that you were an idiot.’
A brilliant blush spread across Elora’s cheek when the boy’s
lips touched her forehead and then her cheek. She could not
trust her voice any longer, so she simply nodded to his request.
She would change her schedule, hopefully enough to have Shawn in
all of her classes. That would be a welcomed reprieve, knowing
at least one person in her classes.
She watched as he moved back towards the other kids in gym
class, and smiled brightly when he winked at her. He had gone
from frustrating her to comforting her and making her feel as
though she belonged somewhere. She was about to return his wink,
when someone walked up to her. A girl, that she did not
       recognize stood before her.
       ‘Hey! She’s hot!’
“Shut up! I don’t need your opinion.’
Elora’s eyes widened once more, and she looked up at the girl.
She had done that twice now, spoken to her brother in front of a
stranger. Her hand moved to the bottom of her chin, the horror
written on her face. The boy had figured out what was occurring
within her mind easily, but she doubted that this girl would be
       able to.
“I am so sorry, I wasn’t saying that to you.” She stammered on.
With a sigh of resolution, she nodded and stood slowly. As she
did, something expected happened, something that thoroughly
angered her. Eroan had managed to take control of her, in the
most inappropriate time. And when he spoke, it was Elora’s voice
       that came out.
“Here, allow me to help you find your way around, beautiful.”
‘You are such an ass, Eroan! Give me my body back!’
‘No, Elora, this is what you get for killing me.’

She watched as the other person walked away. Then thought she
heard something, like a male voice, but a quick glance around
proved no guy was present. Then the girl spoke. As the girls
comment came out she was almost taken aback. Zoe almost started
to say something but the girl quickly covered herself assuring
Zoe she wasn't talking to her. So Zoe smiled and nodded in
       response.
Zoe stepped back as she stood. Then a shadow seemed to pass over
the girls face. Zoe furrowed her brows in confusion. When the
girl spoke again something darker seemed to be in her voice.
Something more something. Zoe couldn't quite place what though.
She had called her beautiful. That was odd, but not unwelcomed.
She smiled and nodded. "Would you please?"
Another sound filled her ears, it sounded like the girl said
something else, yet the girl didn't speak. Then she heard the
guys voice again. She looked over her shoulder, looking for
students lost in conversation. Yet there where none. This was
very confusing but Zoe just shrugged it off.
"By the way my names Zoe, I can't thank you enough. I was so
lost." She smiled warmly at the girl her gaze on her face. She
was pretty. Maybe she would make true friends here after all...
