She closed her eyes and pushed her mind into his. She wanted to
see if he was lying to her, from what she saw he wasn't. This
made her smile. He was almost like a normal human, except, he
was special too. She opened her eyes as she listened to him and
oulled out of his mind. " oh, cool. She smiled. She laughed
softly at his mix up. " You mean internship. " she covered her
mouth to keep from laughing. She wasn't making fun of him, she
just thought it was funny. " may I see how you use the shadow to
your ability?" she was thinking he could disguise himself in a
shad own and hide, as well as use them.

tensing as he felt a chill go through his skull his eyes went
wide then back to normal as it subsided, a shiver running down
his back. "Ah sorry, English still tricks me at times." He
explained then smiled and nodded, "Very well you wish to see how
I do this. I will show you. It is something I....."his face
concentrated as he sought after the correct word,"...
inherited... from my father." He explained, his tone almost
asking when he said inheirited. Looking around he saw several
places that were deeply shadowed, then seeing one spot that was
light than the others he smiled and walked over to it. Turning
towards her he winked and stepped backwards, almost vanishing
the instant the shadows covered his body. He stood there several
seconds then stepped back out, "You see, as if I am not there. I
can control it, if I want to.... dissappear I just let the
shadows take me, though I can't do it in direct lighting.." H
explained

Se watched his body react to her entering and exiting his
mind.it was interesting. She slowly slp from the desk, it
cussing her skirt to rise a bit and the fall back down. She
laughed and nodded towards him as if saying he did get the right
word right. Her smile widened as he winked towards her and
backed into the shadows. Her eyebrows lifted as he was hidened
by darkness. Interesting it was. She clapped lightly and spoke.
" very nice." she looked up to the clock and sighed. " well it
is getting late and I'm a tad hungry...care to join me for
dinner? If not I'll be Alone."

When she clapped he smiled, it felt good to talk to someone that
didn't want to kill him or try and double cross him. Whern she
asked if he wanted to go to dinner he smiled, "Of course, my
father would never let me live it down if I allowed a woman to
go by herself somewhere at night." When he mentioned his father
his eyes dilated slightly and his shoulders sagged noticably,
inhaling deeply he nodded. "Only under one condition though. You
pick the place, I buy." AS he said that he walked past close
enough that he could smell her perfume, and his hand
'accidently' brushedagainst her. Going over to his desk he
reached into the backpack and poulled out a framed picture that
had a strip of black silk draped over one corner. Setting it on
the desk he turned away and held out his arm to her, ""So? Shall
vwe?" He asked leaving his backpack, on the desk.

She felt h lips pull back into a bigger smile. He seemed like
such a gentleman, unlike MOST of the men she had met. She
watched the way his eyes dilated and his shoulders droop. She
could tell there was a lot of emotion behind the thought of his
father. She made a mental note not to bring him up again. " well
good." she smiled and ran her fingers through her curly hair."
oh, well, I know just the place, do you care for seafood?" she
smiled. She knew a small restaurant aout a block from the school
that had the best seafood and it was cheap. She was wearing her
favorite perfume, 21 Black. She loved it and I corresponded with
her skin very well. She watched him walk by her and smirked as
his hand brushed against her. She knew it was purpose, but saud
nothing about it. " let me go get my things" she smiled and
walked out. She made her way to her classroom and grabbed her
coat and bag, then left, locking her door.

"Seafood? I don't mind it." When she stepped out of the room
Clint waited several seconds the looked at the picture and
nodded to it, "Good night father." Walking out of the room he
watcvhed her walk and enter her own class room. AS she walked he
couldn't help but look her up and done, the way she walked
screamed look at me, he smiled at the thought of how many guys
in the school must fantasize about her. Looking at the door to
his rom he pulled it shut and locked it, he didn't bother to
check if it was actually looked, the blasted thing had pissed
him off enough for one day. Walking to her room he opened the
door and held it open for Braylin as she walked out, then moved
so she could lock it. "So 'ow long 'ave you been teaching?" He
asked as they walked, and as he waited for her to answer
something ocurred to him, "Ah, how exactly are we getting
there?"

She could feel his eyes upon her. She knew he was taking her in,
but didn't mind it at all. She was use to it. After closing the
door and locking it she smiled and walked to the door, exiting
the school, with him. " well I hav several abilities myself."
she began. " one is telaportation." she stopped her walkingmonce
they made it to a secluded spot behind the school building. She
held her arms out, palms open and forward and concentrated. She
glared and slowly a portal began to open. It was swirling with
colors and she smiled. " here, take my hand." she extended her
right hand to him

AS they walked Clint stuck his hands in his pockets and gast a
glance at Braylin from the corner of his eye, she was extremely
beautiful, which caused him to wonder why she was a teacher, and
not something like a model. He was about to ask her when she
said that she could teleport, as they stopped Clint watched her
curiously. When the portal opened Clint jumped slightly, at the
sight of the unexpected portal. Looking at Braylin he raised an
eyebrow as he held out his hand and gently but firmly gripped
hers, "Anything I should know about this?" He asked somewhat
concerned. He had seen someone attempt a portal before, it
backfired and killed the psyop specialist that had opened it and
the four man team that was sent through was never heard from
again, so he hesitated.

She continued to feel the small tingle in the bkc of her head,
telling her she was being watched. This only brought a permenate
smile to her face. She waited till she had his hand in hers
before she answered his question. " Well Clint, all I can say
is, don't breath, it is pretty hard." and kit was. The pressure
that the portal emitted made it almost impossibly to breath it,
that's why she never did. She simply held her breath. " and
close you eyes, the if you look you may become blind for an hour
or so." she had found this out on several occasions. The lights
in the portal were strong and could shock the retinas for a
time. " kay, lets go" she giggled and walked forward, her smooth
hand in his. " she felt her body being sucked through the realm
and towards the back of the restaurant.

Looking at the portal he walked forward then smiled and looked
at Braylin, "Well if I do go blind at least I would have a good
image to look back." He said then inhaled deeply, "One for the
money, two for the show, three here I go." Exhaling he closed
his eyes and followed her into the portal. Almost instantly the
pressure on him was incredible it felt like a car was being
lowered onto his chest, starting to panic slightly he felt the
soft feel of Braylin's hand in his and he calmed slightly
though his heart contiued to race. He almost started to pray for
a moment but didn't instead thinking of his father, that he
barely got to know. Then just as quickly as it started the
pressure was gone and he inhaled letting go of Braylin's hand
Clint stumbled and managed to catch himself on the wall. Slowly
he opened his eyes aas he stood there doubled over one hand
pressed against a gcold the other on his knee. He was sucking
air in and his heart was pounding. Getting his breathing under
control he straightened up and smoothed his jacket, looking at
Braylin he smiled, "That was....... interesting." He stated then
offered her his arm, "Well, shall we?"
