Chain had only taken a few steps away from the newly discovered
Slifer before he was stopped in his tracks by two simple words.
His back was still to Rolo, but a grin played on his face. The
challenge had given him an idea, and it gave him the perfect
opportunity to act it out. He reached into the deck box on his
belt, and inserted it into his duel disk. A strange, dark aura
radiated off the white haired duelist as he spoke up. "I'll
accept your challenge... on one condition." He turned to face
his challenger and something was different. Around his neck was
a strange object made of gold. A ring, with a pyramid on the
middle. "No holding back." His opponent should know what that
meant. He wanted an all out duel, not only with their cards, but
with their true strength: Their Millineum items. This would be a
true test of ability. "Do you accept?"

His eyes open wide open , then a grin escape from his red curled
lips .. He slowly pulled out his deck out and spoke ."You might
regret asking me to go 100 % on you . Heck you might not want to
be my friend no more once you see how me and my deck work as one
... "The excitement slowely overwhelm him . "You can go first

Rolo dueled well, but Chain managed to defeat him with just
around half of his life points. Chain had done a full analysis
of his opponent by the duel's end. He had the potential to rival
Chain in a duel, but not the experience. Being a part of the
Academy would allow him to gain that experience. With a smile,
Chain returned his deck to it's box, and nodded his head to
Rolo. "There's a kid in the commons right now named Terran. He's
talented, but he's not ready to advance yet." He pointed back
towards the building. "You should duel him. I think there's a
lot he could learn from you." With that, he turned away once
more and headed to the dorms, waving back to the boy with the
Assault Mode deck. "See you in class!"

His first duel here and he lost , most people couldn't take it .
He couldn't really feel that bad cause Chain did't get to see
his favorite card in his deck and he knew assault mode fought
hard with overwhelming odds . The spirit of dark resonator came
to pat him on the back . It's ok res You fought hard . Then a
loud roar came from his deck . Red I know i didn't get to use
you . I bet his infinity monsters wouldn't have seen so big and
bad if you was on the field . Next time buddy we they will see
your power . Dark Resonator flooded on his shoulder with a smile
know all the words Rolo was saying was true . Rolo bow showing
his respect as resonator did the same but Chain couldn't see him
and headed towards the direction where all the people where at .

Terran continued to converse, and trade with the other students
in the commons, but for some reason, his excitement had faded.
His mind remained on the kid that had beat him. He hadn't even
looked at the cards the other kids had. He was fully confident
in the cards that he had brought with him. And his confidence
had served him. Terran would definitely challenge him again. But
then, he felt something else. Another person who emitted a
strange aura. The Millennium Key that he carried with him didn't
serve him much purpose, but it did always let him know when a
capable duelist was around. "Duel Me!" He said to the guy,
before he was halfway in the door. No time for introductions,
Terran needed his face back.

Another defeat... How irritating... What was Terran's problem?
He never lost duels back home. And now he was being defeated
left and right? That wasn't possible. Was he really just
mediocre amonst his peers at Duel Academy? or was there
something else going on here? The two duelists who had defeated
him were both extraoridinary. He sensed it from the moment he
lay eyes on each of them. But there was no reason he shouldn't
be able to beat them. "Thanks for the match." He said, bowing to
his opponent, who had identified himself as Rolo during the
match. "Guess I'll see you in class tomorrow?"

The next day, Chain checked his schedule. His first class was
Monster Summoning 101. It seemed that his first year was going
to be a real drag... He arrived in class to find that it was a
giant, stadium style classroom. It was completely segregated as
well. The front five rows were filled with Obelisk Blue
students. The middle rows with Ra Yellow, and Slifers were all
seated in the back.
With a huff, Chain began making his way down to the front, and
straight toward an empty seat on the front row. Immediately, one
of the Obelisk Blue students spoke up. "Hey you Slifer Slacker!
In case you didn't notice, your type sit at the top of the
class. If you have trouble seeing, maybe you should invest in
some glasses. Chain looked at the boy, almost blankly, sizing
him up before deciding that he wasn't a worthy duelist. "Let's
decide this with cards, not jackets." Chain said calmly. "If I
beat you in a duel, I take -your- seat, and you go sit in the
back." The students around them laughed, as if they sensed
impending doom for the boy in the red jacket. "You're
challenging me, slacker?! Fine, but if I win, you have to sit in
the nosebleed for the rest of the year!"
The nosebleed was the seat in the very back of the class, in the
far left corner. The light didn't seem to reach that corner of
the room and it was near impossible to see or hear anything that
happened from there. "Boys. Class starts in five minutes." The
instructor said, his accent a strong Irish. "No worries, Five
minutes is plenty of time to finish this."
"Agreed"
Once again, Chain refused to get out his duel disk, instead
shuffling his deck and placing it down on the table. He didn't
want everyone to see his deck too soon, but there was another
reason as well. Honor of first move went to Obelisk Blue. Both
players drew their hands, and Chain placed his face down on the
table without even looking at it. "Giving up already, Slifer?
Don't worry, I won't finish you this turn." The boy set one
monster face down and two face down spell/trap cards and ended
his turn. Chain then drew for his turn and looked at his hand. A
grin instantly played on his face. He had already won! Unless
one of his opponents cards was Solemn Judgement, and even then
it would only spare him for one turn.
It turned out that the boy from Obelisk Blue did not have a
Solemn Judgement. His life points hit zero before he ever saw
his second turn, and with that, all the Obelisks that surrounded
him began to mumble. "Look at the bright side." Said Chain.
"You'll be one of the first ones out." And with that, he took a
seat.

Terran was already seated in the Slifer Red section when Chain
arrived. He recognized him as soon as he showed up, The guy who
beat him the day before. He started to invite Chain to sit next
to him, but Chain was already on his way to the front. What was
he doing? Going to ask the teacher a question? No. He was
planning to sit in the front. Trouble was coming. But before
Terran could make heads or tails of the situation, Chain was
seated in the front, and an Obelisk Blue was on his way to the
top! Terran knew what had happened. Chain had challenged the boy
for his seat, and quickly defeated him! This filled Terran with
excitement! He didn't know he could challenge an Obelisk for his
seat! He started to make his way to the front, but the teacher
had already started the class.
Class that day was all about normal summons, Flip Summons, and
Tribute summons. It was clear that the curriculum for this class
was written in such a way that any newb at Duel monsters would
be able to understand it. "Dueling for dummies." But if that was
the case, why go through the extended screening process?
Everyone here was supposed to be a talented student. So why not
skip this basic stuff? After class, Terran made his way to the
card shop. Word was, that was the place to go for action around
this place.
