       Close your eyes, child...

       [glow=green,2,300]Juriki[/glow]
"I...I'm done..." was a gentle, quiet mutter. It held so much to
it. Those three small, single syllable words held so much agony
to them that it was too painful to speak them. It wrenched at
such a strange organ in his chest hard enough to have him hold
his chest as if his heart was seizing, but he knew it wasn't
real. It was real, but it was psychological. What he felt now
would, hopefully, soon be over. It had to be over. The
separation he felt was something so painful that it was
impossible to live with. It ripped at his every nerve at every
waking moment of every day, as if needles were pierced through
his skin and ripped in every direction imaginable. It was slow.
It was torture. It was something he'd no longer handle. So with
a sluggish, aching movement, Juriki forced himself to his feet
before giving a soft mutter of a spell, then disappearing into
       nothing...
       [glow=blue,2,300]Osuka[/glow]
How many days has it been since last he saw his beloved? His
wife? His heart and soul? His Colette? How many dimensions had
he passed through before coming here? To this barren planet
which only held the fruits of flora and fauna, but no sentient
life? The Grasslands of the dead continent he seated himself
upon how was nothing more than that. Grass and wind. No insects.
No rodents. No felines, canines, equines, foul of the air -
nothing. It was literally untouched by any other life than his
own. This was a planet that reflected just how he felt. There
was much to him, but it was empty. When would he see his Colette
       again?
There was something in the distance... He could sense it. It
wasn't Colette, so what use was it to look up? Curiosity was the
answer. Slowly, the head which had been lain with golden locks
began to raise. Only this time as he looked up, he would find
from his seated position that it in fact was not far off at all.
Instead, what stood before him seemed to be a plain young man
with that of a zero upon the left side of his neck. A plain
white button up dress shirt and pair of blue jeans hung loosely
from his body. For some reason, he was barefoot. The boy had
nothing on him. He couldn't have been a resident, either. He
looked - and felt from his vitals - about as hurt as Osuka felt
to be. Someone who wished to relate? No. He looked... Desperate.
"What's your name..?" Osuka muttered as he stood, his expression
       as blank as the boy's.
"Juriki," was his reply, though he didn't seem as if he wished
to offer much more than that. "I've come to stop something."
For only a moment, Osuka paused before raising his right eyebrow
with only the slightest of an arch. "You've come to end your
       life, Juriki?"
       "Yes..."
The boy looked young, but one look into the boy's chocolate
brown eyes told him that those eyes had seen an eternity of
something Osuka wouldn't wish on anyone else. It was something
he was going through now, even, but at least he himself had the
hope of finding Colette. This boy was abandoned. From what he
could tell, the number Zero upon his neck had meant that he was
a Zero Number of Wordspell fighters, which meant his partner was
interchangeable, though he would still go through the separation
anxiety of any other type. At this point, though, Osuka's
mentality was far too away from who he used to be. The helpful,
hopeful, friendly man that he once was would likely have been
with Colette. She always had that part of him...
So with a sigh and a nod of his head, Osuka reached into the
recesses of the left side of his cloak before producing his
right sidearm. It looked to be a clip-fed pistol, but the
revolving chamber above and set slightly behind the trigger
allowed for either revolver or clip rounds to be used. Only one
round was left remaining in the chamber. This was difficult,
though, no matter his disposition per the moment. He couldn't
simply end one's life without reason. This was no good reason
either, but more than likely the boy would force him to take his
life. He could see it in young Juriki's eyes. The love and care
he once held were dead. Al there was left was anguish.
"I'd be better off dead, sir..." he muttered, though as he did
so his body stiffened. "I'll never be complete. A Zero number is
       nothing without its other half."
Osuka could only nod as he sighed and raised his gun to point it
straight towards Juriki's forehead. "I know, my friend.." he
whispered. "And I"m sorry it's come to this... May you rest in
peace and find who you were separated from."
With that, Osuka cocked back the hammer of his sidearm as he
watched Juriki close his eyes. He seemed...At peace. A smile was
now touching Juriki's lips as he waited, expecting the sudden
blackness behind his lids to become an eternity. Osuka would
deliver it. He just couldn't watch. Before Osuka pulled the
trigger, he quickly shut his eyes and turned away, his head down
before the sudden click-and-bang followed. The bullet would tear
through Juriki's head, sending a spray of crimson and grey
matter through the air before his entire body was engulfed in a
flame so hot it would reduce his body to literally nothing...
And for the first time in a while, Osuka felt one small, thin
tear streak a tiny rivulet down his left cheek. His heart sunk
for the child who was now erased from existence.
"Goodbye, my friend... May you now be at peace..."
