Duncan watched the walls fall with big eyes. He wondered how
such weaklings could do such a feat. He shook his head for he
wanted to do that. But now he had bigger problems. He was lost
and babysitting. He looked down to this woman and leaned on the
rock. Ripping his shirt, then wrapping a band around his hips
where he had a gash. He snarled silently at the pain. Duncan sat
down on the wall and lifted his head back onto the wall closing
       his eyes.-
"Great, just great." He sighed and continued. " Why do I have
this kind of luck?" He kept his eyes closed and just swore under
his breathe. " Why did I not just break all their necks and
Watch my power grow?" He leaned his head back up looking to the
moon, this time talking to it. " Why is it, that no matter where
I go, I can't seem to fucking stay in one place. If it isn't me
being banished, it is a queen forcing her hand, to her having to
deal with treason." He just threw a rock down the hill. " I just
have the best of times being a God damn savior."

Cleo watched the man as now he was cursing himself. She watched
him carefully and lifted a brow before she looked to the side,
letting him rant. Fighting with him was not going to help
anything, but there was something. "I'm never going to force my
hand on you, or even then, you aren't banished. I'm no longer
queen. There is no ruler." She sighed heavily and turned her
head to the side. She could not watch them destroy her castle
any longer. She had grown up in that place. Her parents had died
there, and she took in a quick breath. Their death was hard to
manage. That was the reason why she was forced to the crown. She
looked to the side and walked frather down the forest line. "You
can leave. You don't have to stay with me any longer. I can
manage by myself." She said and continued walking.
The moonlight was slightly lighting up her face as she walked
farther to a meadow that was around here. She had found it once
many years ago. She had just laid there until it was time for
her to come back, and even then, that was one of the first of
many times she had escaped away from the castle. There was so
much to deal with. She wasn't sure how her mother and father
handled it, but then she knew. They had each other, and she had
no one. She was left to struggle the weight of her kingdom on
her own shoulders. Not half with a person to love her at her
side. Her general had been the closest to her, and the man that
had saved her had taken it away from her.

Duncan stood and winced at his side a bit. He looked to the
queen and back to the stars. He would speak some what in a
friendly manner, " Well I would go,
but................................. I kinda would be lost
completely and if I go back, I doubt to many would welcome me."
He laughed a bit, but quickly stopped and put a hand on his
side. " Plus i won't be able to go anywhere for a bit with this
wound open." He walked beside her and looked over the city. "
Being queen isn't that easy huh?" He was serious this time, and
kinda sighed when he talked. His green eyes losing their shimmer
from the amount of blood he has lost.

"You should rest because of that wound." She said softly,
turning her head to the side as she watched the different shdows
play among the line between light and dark of the moon. The
stars shimmered like millions of diamonds around the moon,
brightening up the entire sky. She took in a deep breath and
sighed heavily, turning her head to look at him. "Not too brave
now, huh?" She said, her eyes slightly narrowing for a moment,
but then she turned away, losing the angst against him, and
crossing her arms over her chest as she moved through the grass
hearing the sticks crack and break underneath her feet. It had
been a very long time since she had traveled this path. She had
worn it her self. Stomping on it as much as she could and always
made sure she had the same steps coming in as she did getting
out. The forest seemed to like it that way. It practically
guided it for her, and in return, she made sure that she was not
stomping on over grown roots or hitting any homes during her
paths and there seemed to be no growth over her path either. It
was sacred to her as much as it was to the forest. She thought
herself as apart of it...since she was not really apart of
       anything else for that matter.
"No, it's not." She shrugged and turned her head, not letting
him see into her eyes. She kept them averted, looking toward the
shadows, catching glimpses of the forest coming alive in the
night time. She should have been scared, as there were many
rumors about the different monsters that live within the masses
of trees and bushes, but she didn't seem to mind. She hoped that
the forest would continue to hide her and her hiding spot for
       the moment. And temporarily, Duncan.
"You would think that I would want to fight for my kingdom, but
I have gotten nothing in return from the townspeople...not even
an inch of respect." She turned her head to the side again. "But
       I'll quit my complaining now."

He chuckles a bit at the wound and shook his head. " There is a
difference in bravery, and being tyrant ." He would look to her
and smile slightly. " We have to make your people believe in you
first. You have to show them you can be nice, but powerful at
the same time." He looked to the kingdom, " And I haven't left
my town since I was 5. I get lost very easy." He would sit down
and look to the ground, a slight smile, knowing the war to come
for ones own throne. " I don't want the throne, It isn't in my
blood. So I will help you take back your throne. Only if you
agree we do things my way."

Cleo looked toward the man who walked with her now. The one who
had gotten her out of the castle and away from those morons and
heathens. Was he serious about getting her back to the throne?
Probably. She looked at him, noticing the wound a little more
now, but she didn't act upon it. She stayed where she was. A
couple of feet away from him. "Believe in me?" She turned her
head toward the shadows again. "They were threatening to kill me
the moment that my parents were gone because they were the only
ones who knew how to rule. I was just forced into their place."
She said, shrugging her shoulders. "I care for my kingdom, but I
would rather let another take over than have to be married off
and be forced to join one of the other kingdoms anyway. Letting
them think I'm dead will be a lot easier to deal with." She
walked frather, letting her fingers trace over the tall grass.
Perhaps there was snakes. Perhaps there was going to be
something else to kill her out here.
She didn't know. Cleo lifted her eyes to the man who said that
if she wanted her throne back, he would help her but only under
his conditions and his way. She laughed at the thought. "I'm not
going to do things according to what you tell me to." She
narrowed her eyes. "If you want things to go your way so badly,
you go back there and you take the throne. Good luck with the
rest of the men who are probaby deciding to take down the market
city." She gave him a soft smile as she rolled her eyes. "What
you tell me wouldn't be the first time I have heard it. I've
heard it all through the many years of being taught to be a
leader, but nothing out of books can actually be put in place."
She sighed heavily and turned her head to look at the horizon
where the fire was still burning over her castle. She could hear
the hollars and calls, some screams, but it seemed that they
were not alone. Out in the distance, she could see lights.
Nearby people were coming into help with the ruins.
If she could see that they were actually looking for her, only
would she be able to stand up again. "Why should I stand up for
my kingdom when they don't even want me representing them. They
       don't want a woman representing them. They think it's a man's
job." She sighed heavily and rolled her eyes.

Duncan watched this woman move back and forth with his emotions
and smiled slightly. " You know that no one wants to follow
someone who can't lead them. You have to show them your true
strength if you ever want them to see your back bone." He stood
up and took a needle out of his pants putting it over a fire.. "
He took the bandage off of the wound, turning his head slightly.
" If you do, not like blood then I suggest turning. " He twisted
a few strings of his hair and pulled them out. twisting them
together, putting one end in the eye of the needle. He would
stick the needle in his skin and pull hard. Sewing up his own
wound. He swore softly and cleaned the wound after he was done,
he wrapped his wound again, and then Looked to that castle. "
You got to realize you are their queen, that is your kingdom. If
you run away now, that kingdom will never have royal blood
again." He looked down to the woman and smiled. " No kingdom is
       great without royalty.

Cleo sighed heavily. “And what has happened to you to have so
much faith in me?” She looked at him, directly. She was curious.
He seemed to know so much about her in such a small length of
time that his words were beginning to be a little too there. She
lifted a brow and waited in response to her question, but while
she waited, she saw him turn toward the fire for light after
having pulled out a few strands of his hair to begin winding up
his wound. She felt pain in her side at the sight of the needle
going through his skin. How he could do that, she had no idea.
It was painful to watch, let alone feel. Turning with his gaze
toward the kingdom, her eyes stayed there for a moment before
she answered his statement. “I do have a brother.” She said,
looking at him cautiously. Pressing her lips in a line, she
tilted her head slightly, watching the fires consume her castle,
and people running in to save those who were buried by the
       debris.
“That is the reason why my kingdom has fallen apart. The people
know about my brother, and were surprised when I was the one who
was announced in charge.” She sighed heavily. “Respect is low
when there is a man who could take your place.” She turned her
head. “I mean, this is a man’s world is it not?”
She took in a deep breath and growled to herself. If she had
heard anyone speaking this way, she would have slapped the woman
across her cheek for having thought of such things, but wasn’t
it real? The people would strike against her if she was to rise
up or even come out of the forest like a coward. At that moment,
she didn’t have clue on what to think.
“I don’t even see a reason why you are in such a push to get me
to fight for my kingdom, but I’ll make my decision final in the
morning.” She turned away from the fire of her castle and began
heading into the meadow tall grass, disappearing.

" Just because you Don't want it, doesn't mean it isn't yours to
       have. Kinda like a sickness"
He watched he disappear into the grass, only to sigh and sit
down on the hard stone floor. He would close his eyes, not to
sleep, but to listen. He had been through enough today. He would
breathe slowly and just wait for her return. It had seemed that
She wanted to be alone for once. He would think to himself.
Wondering about what he would have to do in order to get this
queen back in check, or to just kill everyone and go on his way
to the next spot in his life. He would contemplate this for
       hours.
