march to the Queen [duncan & Cleo]
By: Gazini Date: February 16, 2013, 6:30 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
As Duncan left his city with the battalion of soliders of
Gi'lix. He had no idea what would be to come. He hadn't known
who to expect at this kingdom. He hadn't paid any attention to
who the ruler was. He had only known that who ever ruled the
country, would not be very pleased at him, for killing their
general. He would be lead to the kingdom gates, and to the
throne room. To where he would meet eye to eye with the Queen
Cleo Blaine. He stood chained and unable to move. Awaiting to
see the outcome of this "treason"

Cleo leaned back in her seat, feeling the eyes on her. The eyes
of her guards, the eyes of her assistants and maids in waiting,
she let them look at her. She was fuming. Her lead general, the
only one who practically worked with her on situations for
battle was killed. By a meaningless peasant. She ran her fingers
through her dark curls, letting the darkness of her eyes settle
on the doors. She could hear the chains rattle as they guards
led the prisoner to her throne room. She pulled her wrap over
her shoulders more as she leaned into her arm rest of her
throne. The jewels glistened on her hands and around her throat.
Blinking her eyes, she watched the doors open and the man
stagger in. He was attractive, something that she had seen many
different times before. She was without a king, without anyone
really. She was too proud of herself to have a man stand at her
side and she knew that once she gave into a man that she would
no longer be looked at, but her king would. She sighed heavily.
Looking at the man, her brow lifted and she touched her fingers
to her temples for a moment. "So, you are the one who killed
General Elliot." She narrowed her eyes and took in a deep
breath. "Confess a case, one that would give me a reason not to
kill you." She challenged. She always liked to play with the men
who had done something wrong. The women, she would just cast out
with a mark she would have to wear the rest of her life. Lifting
a brow, she waited, patiently.

Duncan stood there in the middle of the floor, not truly
listening to what the queen had said. He just waited for her to
stop talking, raising his head to meet her gaze. He had a
sickly, grin on his face. Making sure he was heard completely,
without any question. " Elliot died before he could mutter your
rule. I ripped out his heart and squished it in my hand." He
turned his head to the guards that held him, watching them wince
in terror. " These men of yours were to scared to move after
watching his death." He looked back to the queen and waited for
the reply, but ended his statement at this note. " I have shown
my power. What power do you hold?"

Her eyes watched him, noticing that he was not even paying
attention to what she was even saying. And she had only said a
few words. How rude this man was! She held back a growl as she
hated when people, especially those lower would not pay
attention to her. She stood from her chair, dropping her cloak
from her shoulders, and there she stood in a very tight and
slimming dress. The big poofy dresses were for a ball. These
were for comfortableness. Looking toward him, she simple she
watched him, seeing as he tried to scare her by the gory details
of how he killed her general. She let out a soft laugh. "Oh, you
think that scares me?" She glared. "My men might have been
frightened, but I do not cower from your meaningless words." She
growled. "I might have your tongue cut out." She said with a
soft smile upon her face as she stepped close to one of the
guards and unsheathed his sword. She held it steadily.
"And it shall be by my own hand, cause you do not hold any
power." She let her fingers trace down by the blade. "I have all
of the power here." She said, letting the sword level with his
head as she held it up toward him.
"There is a reason why they say I am ferocious, but I can
already tell that you do not fear me because you have an ego the
size of the castle." She sighed heavily, rolling her eyes.
"Which only means that I need to cut that down to nothing, which
I will do..."
"Easily."

As the blade touched his head, he raised his lips to it. Letting
his tongue push the blade off of his lips. Cutting the base of
his tongue and letting the blood run down his cheeks. He would
then pull his tongue back into his mouth and look to the queen
in humor. " But you know if you kill me while chained, that
shows you have no power at all. That it takes others to hold
down the monster as you steal the kill. Just like a parasite. "
He look to the chain around his wrists and smiled. Twisting his
hand so his silver clawed gloves could grip the chain and cause
it to snap. He now stood there unchained. Watching the guards
show worry for the queen. Gripping their spears and pointing
them to him. His eyes watching hers, waiting to see what her
next move would be.

The queen stood there, after having held the blade toward him
before pulling it back. During that time, he had touched it with
his tongue and sliced it before letting the blood touch his
cheeks as he made a show of it. He was simply disgusting. Not
charming. The attractiveness was slipping from his face as he
was trying to play a game. One that she did not feel like
playing. Pulling back the sword for himself not to do anymore
damage, she leaned against it on the floor and watched him
without emotion on her face as he broke the chains in front of
her. Strong. Sure. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. The
men immediately reacted by lifting their spears to him. She
watched him tilting her head. "You want to play a game. Trying
to pick out my faults. Trying to see if you are better than me.
Probably you are, but I am not the type to play games." She
said, noticing the liquids that were on his hand now after he
had broken the chains.
"For those like you. Ones that like to break chains for the fun
of it. I had inserted an acid within the metal and now it is on
your hands. It will begin to eat through your skin, but maybe
you will like that. So you can be a disfigured and sick man on
your own." She rolled her eyes and tossed the sword back to her
guard and turned to face away from him, but then she stopped,
raising her hand. "If you think that touching me will share the
acid, it won't. It dries to the victim and only eats on that
person's flesh."
She sighed and began returning back to her throne. She was
already done with his charade.

He looked to his hands as the acid burns on the metal of his
gloves. He simply removed them and put them on the floor.
Looking to the queen as though she were a mere child. He spoke
again and this time, not even in a amused tone. " Coming here
has now bored me." He walked into one of the guards spear heads
and grasped the end of it, breaking the blade off. He would
then kick the spear head to the family crest above the throne.
No more would he play these little petty games of who's balls
were bigger. He looked to the queen and then to the men, " Your
in my way." They moved quickly aside and still had Duncan at
spear point. " As for the queen. What is your name? Mine is
Duncan Vic Mortiz."

"I'm not here for entertainment." She rolled her eyes and kept
her back to him as she walked away from him. She was tired as
much as he was. He was sick man, and she kept finding herself
having to keep bile down in her throat. Walking away from him,
her hips swayed. The men surrounding the man who had the balls
to even stand up to a woman like her was looking at him
pointedly. He had said that they were in his way? Cleo couldn't
help but let out a laugh at his question as he addressed her.
She threw her head back in a laugh and glanced back at him for a
moment before looking down at her jewels. They were beautiful.
She lifted her hand, and cut him off with a hiss. "I don't want
to know your name, and you don't even deserve my name." She
growled.
"Petty man. It's all you ever will be." She sighed heavily and
sat down in her chair, looking to her guards. "Retrieve the
bigger men to take care of this one, and just take him to the
stone room, and leave him there with the skeletons. I wish not
to see his face any longer." For a moment, she looked at him
before she stood and gathered her things from her chair and
began walking toward her chamber.

As the men touched him he broke one of their arms. Smashed
another one's knee cap out the back of his legs. But eventually,
he would be taken down to the chambers. After all, he was only
human. He entered this "stone room", he noticed it was a typical
dungeon. He being in there now wondered a few things. Would he
kill this woman, or would he torture her people. He had many
thoughts. Until he was alone, he sat on the ground and looked to
the outside window. the hard metal bars stuck in the stones. He
observed these bars for some time.

Cleo ran her fingers over the fabrics of her dresses. Tonight
was a ball, and she would again be faced with the kingdoms
nearby coming to see if they can format a truce and become a
married ally. She shrugged her shoulders and sighed heavily. She
was not for the flattery. Her general was gone, and usually he
would attend the events with her, as one who would be able to
judge the men of kingdoms she was looking at, and now she had no
one. She turned her head to the side, watching the ladies in
waiting, noticing at which dress they were staring at it. In
comparison with her dark hair, they were chose a sapphire blue
ballgown, that decorated seamlessly in glittering fabric. She
smiled and slipped it over her corset and let her head maid in
waiting tie her in, making sure it was tight enough. Once she
was in, her hair was up next. Smiling to herself, the curls fell
down her shoulders and cascaded to the tops of her breasts where
it gathered loosely. She smiled and ran her fingers through it
and powdered her face to get rid of the shine before she slipped
on the rest of her makeup, oh how it was going to be a pain to
get this off.
Once finished, she stepped away from the mirror, just in time to
step out of her room and head toward the opening of the castle
where her guests gathered. Security was high, as there was
threats that there was going to be men coming to break out the
one she had sent into the stone room, and one whom she wished
never to see ever again.
