Giotto and Monica

Love, it was something he wasn't expecting to find. Nor
did he even really know what to do with it. He was just winging
it, but he was so happy about it that he didn't care if he knew
the exact ways to go about it. It seemed his fiance didn't care
how little he knew of it either. Usually he'd just sleep with a
woman a few times, nothing serious, no ties; but this one. Oh
had she worked his world upside down and inside out. She even
understood that he wasn't a usual.. Business man. He was a
dangerous man, one that didn't attract good company. Yet she
hadn't cared, she had stuck with him. It had been nearly an
entire year with her and he had finally popped that special
question, absolutely overjoyed when she had said yes. Monica was
certainly the kind of girl he needed, wanted, and loved. Having
never strayed from his life in the mob, or Yakuza. Because of
his Japanese and Caucasian heritage, he was viable to both
groups. He also ran the first one. Having found himself in the
center of trouble when he was just a kid, seven years old and
abandoned, the Yakuza had taken him in. They had trained him and
had made sure that he was aware of his abilities.
Now he was a grown man, a crime boss, and one of the wealthiest
men around. He was tall, slender and built muscularly, and he
had long magenta and silver hair with strands of ebony purple.
His eyes were an intense mercury mixed with teal. Fierce is what
people called his eyes. Especially when he was on the job. Right
now, he was reminiscing in his office about when all of this
started. About their entire relationship, a smile clear as day
on his face as he leaned back in his chair and pushed a
cigarette into his lips. After lighting it, his door swung open
and he quirked a brow. His favorite 'employee' had come crashing
into his room looking like he had just witnessed something
dreadful. "What is it Roy?" He said, his thick accent pouring
into his crush velvet tone while he looked at him. There's a
problem, Otto! Samantha's been hit! With in a single second he
was jumping over his desk and bolting out of the office with his
friend. His eyes snapping onto the young woman who had been shot
on duty. Dropping down to his knees, he pressed his hands over
her leg where the wound was and she groaned out. "Don't worry
Sam, you'll be fine. It's just a bullet, not a missing limb."
Motioning Roy to get the medical kit, he soon returned with it
and Giotto went to work. After removing the bullet and
cauterizing the wound, he bandaged it up and sent her home.
Sighing, he washed his hands and ignored the blood stains on his
suit, shrugging them off before he turned to light another
cigarette and fix himself a glass of wine. "Don't forget to call
Monica and ask her to hire a good wedding planner." Roy chided,
causing Giotto to quirk a brow and nod, blowing out the smoke.
"Yeah, I'll give her a ring. We also gotta go out and get
wedding bands, her dress, and everything else. I planned to take
her out today too." He said, smirking a bit while Roy made a
gagging noise. "Ugh, you're so loving it's sickening Otto."
Giving his friend a playful punch, he chuckled. "You'll
understand when you've got your own doll that you don't wanna
lose." With that being said, he went back to his office and sat
down, pulling out his cell phone and dialing up Monica. "Hey
baby." He cooed, smiling.

The line of work that Monica found herself doing didn't
mean she wasted around at her home fixing things up, even though
the beauty couldn't help but do that. She scurried around the
house, looking for something... Anything to clean, it was just
in her mind, when she was stressed out about something, she
cleaned. Finally she ran to the fridge, and opened it up,
allowing the cool breeze to hit her and arise the goosebumps on
her arms. She took everything out, and totally reorganized all
of the contents of the cold machine. Once she closed the door
again, she bit her lower lip, and then moved to the bedroom she
shared with her OttyBear, she slid under the bed to pull out a
craft she had been working on for a while. Monica Donne was a
artist. She was not only a artist... She was the artist in their
town. She even had her own store. She set a package on the bed,
and slid her fingers across the boxes' lovely surface. That
smile etched her lips, and she giggled lightly. It was time, she
lifted the box's lid from on top of the box. She placed the lid
beside her on the bed and lifted an object from within. She
smiled, it was mold in the shape of a heart. Perfectly carved
within were the names Giotto Malone a plus sign and then Monica
Donne.
Taking in a small breath of air she giggled, and placed the
object back, and placed the lid on it. She turned her body
towards her dresser, and pulled the last drawer out, inside the
drawer was a bunch of Basket Filler's all of different types and
colors. Searching through her drawer, she grabbed a handful of
white and purple Basket filler's and squealed, she closed the
drawer and walked to the box, opening it again, she shoved the
basket filler's in the box, and the grabbed a name tag thing.
She placed it on the box, and grabbed out a permanent marker,
and put the lid in her mouth while she wrote; To my one and
only, I love you baby, Monica once it was all down, she grabbed
the box and put it on the nightstand. Taking a breath, trying to
calm her nerves, when finally, she heard her cell ringing from
all the way in the kitchen! Jumping off of the bed, she dashed
towards the sound and grabbed her phone, flipping it open with
the tip of her thumb, she squeaked as she landed on her bum on
the ground in the kitchen. But when she heard his voice, chills
ran inside of her and she squealed. "OttyBear!" Smiling, she
stood up, while keeping her phone close to her, and walking into
her bedroom, touching her present for Giotto.

He had heard the squeak and figured that she had
probably been in one of her hyper and spastic moods again,
falling over herself. Chuckling, he shook his head slightly and
smiled when she squealed out his given nickname. "You sound as
hyper as can be, love." He drawled, smiling even more as he got
up and looked to Roy, gesturing him to take over things while he
was gone. "It's a damn crime when I'm away from you, baby." He
said softly as he quietly slipped into his car and shut the
door. Pressing the mute button for a moment as he started his
car, he made sure that it was silent enough before he unmuted
his phone and chuckled a bit. "You didn't forget that we had
plans today, did you? I hope you're ready for later. We've got
to take you out to get your dress and our bands as well as you
finding a planner. Unless you want to do everything yourself in
two days time." He grinned, that was right. They were getting
married in just a couple of days and still had so much to do.
Yet with their working lives, it was hard to get anything done.
Weaving through traffic and being thankful for his sound proof
glass in his car, he was rushing home to see Monica and surprise
her.
He normally didn't get home till the late afternoon and she
would be expecting the same routine. Today was different though.
There were no jobs that needed to be done and Roy could handle
everything for now. Plus, if he was needed, they'd just give him
a ring and he'd get it done. Smirking a bit when he pulled up to
the rather large home, he snuck up the drive and parked his car
quietly a good yard away from the house so he wouldn't be heard.
After getting out and quietly shutting the door, he slipped up
the steps and stood at the front door. "It's a damn crime that I
have to work so much and that I don't get enough time with you,
love." Sneaking inside, he quickly pulled off his shoes and was
as silent as a mouse while he crept through the house into his
room behind her. Letting his arms drop around her, he planted a
gentle kiss on her neck. "And I'd rather not commit that
crime.." Chuckling, he smiled brightly. "I came home early to
take you out, baby." Glancing to the box, he quirked a brow but
didn't say anything yet. Though he was grinning inwardly as he
smoothed his hands down her sides and turned her around, pulling
her against him tightly. "Get ready because we have a lot to do
today darling. And remember that nothing's too much for my
beautiful queen."

Monica just sat on the edge of the bed, listening to his
voice, giggling every now and then. She always loved listening
to his voice, and she let out a soft sigh, just waiting to be
able to see him again, she loved the man with all her heart...
Well duh! That's why they were to be getting married! Her heart
jumped and she laughed. "You may be away a lot, but our love
will stand forever, and ever!" She giggle, and glanced down at
her hands, they didn't look very professional, she wanted to
paint them purple. Turning slightly she placed a table like
structure by the box, and grabbed out her favorite purple color
nail polish, she shook the bottle up, smiling to herself. "I
swear, if I didn't have you... I wouldn't know where my head
was! But on the other hand, if it came up to me having to do it
all in two days? I could do it, and I would. I want this day to
be perfect." She smiled widely, and just closed her eyes for a
moment. "It is a crime, my love. I'm always missing you so much!
I sometimes find myself, curling around my phone sleeping, just
waiting for your call to hear your voice..." Monica's voice
seemed to get a bit of a love sick tone to it, she seemed to be
drifting off into another world.
She let out a sigh, as she imaged in her mind, their world when
they got married, how perfect their life would be and just how
eager she was to get to that point in her life. "But at least I
know, that I'll be waking up next to you every morning, and that
is just something I could never give up.." Her heart throbbing
voice poured from her lips, until suddenly she felt arms around
her, Monica stiffened, and was about to whisper into the phone,
assuming whoever was touching her was an intruder, until she
felt those lips on her neck. Monica gave a shutter, and she
dropped her phone, it seemed she did that a lot... That poor
phone... Once she was turned around to face her love, her bright
green eyes sparkled and she jumped a bit to get her arms around
his neck. "I can't believe you're home!" She noticed him
glancing to the box, and she laughed. "It's for you, OttyBear."
She slid her arms down his chest, and then picked the box up,
leaning a bit backwards, she handed him the box. "Check out
what's inside, while I go get ready!" Hurriedly she scurried off
towards their closet, and rummaged through a few things until
she grabbed a dress that was all black, with purple lacy down
the waist and up the back of the dress. Once she was dressed she
turned around in the skin tight gown and smiled lightly at
Giotto. "I really hope you like it!"

Giotto was grinning ear to ear. Her words had always
been so sweet, he really adored her. How she, such a beautiful
soul, could have ever come to accept him fully and love him
fully; he'd never know. Especially with the line of work he was
in. Laughing a bit, he leaned forward and stole a kiss from her
before she pushed the box in his hands and skittered off to the
closet. "Y'know, we do live together. I just need to lighten my
work load a bit." He said, chuckling while he sat down on the
edge of the bed and smiled at the writing on the top of the box.
Running his fingertips over it, he pulled off the top and
chuckled again at seeing the white and purple basket filling.
His two favorite colors, and she knew them so well. Reaching
into the shredded paper, he plucked out the carved heart and
smiled softly. She was always doing things like this, making
these cute trinkets. Glancing to the cabinet that had nearly
everything she had given him into it, he stood up and walked
over it, putting the heart in there as well. Turning around to
her voice, his heart stopped a bit. Damn did she look gorgeous
in that dress and he so badly wanted to tear it off her and
throw her into the bed.
Smirking a bit, he went to her and pulled her into his arms. "I
love it.. You, the dress on you, and the heart. Though wont that
be Monica Malone here soon?" He said with a wink, grinning. They
still hadn't decided if she wanted to take his last name or not.
Yet he did like teasing her about it. Leaning forward, he
captured her lips with his once more but lingered this time.
Kissing her with that sweetly gentle passion he always carried
for her, he held her tightly against him before he parted from
the kiss. "I'd come home for you any day, Monica.." He whispered
against her lips before he straightened up and smiled. "Where do
you want to go first? The dress shop? I know I can't see you in
your dress until our wedding, but I can at least take you there
and wait for you. Or we could go to get our wedding bands first?
There's a lot to do today.. Flower arrangements, what ever you
want for our wedding. Just know I'm not going to wear some
godawful tux that looks ridiculous!" He laughed a bit, smiling.
"Either a black tux, a white tux, or a yukata.. Since I am half
Japanese."

Listening to him, Monica raised an eyebrow and laughed.
"You lighten your work load? When pigs fly; maybe." She grinned,
and did a twirl when he looked at her. The bottom of the dress
lifted up a bit, and then came back down when she stopped, and
walked over to him, slinging her arms around his neck. As she
looked into his eyes, she remembered the day of their first
kiss, the way he had held her like no man had ever held her, and
she had been so scared at first... What if she didn't kiss him
right? All these doubt filling thoughts would fill her mind,
until she would look down, and then back up to feel his warm,
delicious mouth against her own. Nothing mattered but him at
that point and she then got an idea to spring into her mind as
she pulled her head away from the kiss in the present time, and
laughed softly. “Monica Malone...” The name slipped her lips,
and it just felt so easy to speak her name like that, as if she
belonged with Giotto Malone. “Well, maybe you should take my
last name, eh? Be different then all the other couples that are
getting married… be known as… Giotto Tommy Donne!”
She pulled away from him, to laugh lightly, and then she grabbed
her purse. “Well, if we are going somewhere, then we are taking
my car, and I know… It’s really beat down but she’s my baby… and
also, I want to take you somewhere before we do all the other
needed spots.” She grinned from ear to ear, and grabbed his
hand, she guided him out of the room and towards the closet near
the door, pulling out her black heals, she put them on, and
leaned up to kiss Giotto lightly on his lips, and then continued
to guide him out of the door, and into the garage. Once there
she stopped rushing and placed her hand on her stomach,
narrowing her eyes. Monica had a slight condition, when she got
too overly excited or was rushing for something, she was started
to grow pain, sharp pain in her stomach. She was rushing and was
overly excited so the pain cut her sharp and deep and made her
groan with protest. As the pain subsided, she placed her hands
on her hips to take in a deep breath and just relax herself.
By now she knew that Giotto was probably worried and she smiled
to him, “Don’t worry, my love, I am fine.” She then reached
inside of her purse and grabbed out her keys, beeping the car
unlocked. She had a rusty old bug that she loved. She climbed
into the driver’s side and squealed as she waited for Giotto to
enter her car, once he did, she watched him to make sure he put
his seat belt on like she did herself; then she sped out of the
garage, and towards a place that their first kiss happened at,
it was a sort of park area, and Monica loved the place. She
parked the car and got out, placing her hands on the car’s roof,
she looked at Giotto. “Can we have our wedding here?” Her eyes
sparkled with hope.

Giotto couldn't help but to laugh a bit. "But that
doesn't sound right! Monica Joyce Malone sounds so much better
than Giotto Tommy Donne." He chuckled and grinned. "Not like I
need everyone knowing I'm a don." He winked, having always
teased her about that. Smiling at the kiss, he let her lead him
to her car. "When are you going to let me fix this up for you? I
know I haven't been able to work on it mechanically lately, but
once we take care of this big job tomorrow, I'll be able to take
a couple weeks off from all of this. Though I'll still be on
call." Getting in, he smiled to her and leaned back in the seat.
He really didn't mind how beat up her car was, he just wanted
her to have the best of everything. So he had always thought to
fix her car up for her and give it what ever paint job she
wanted so she could keep her 'baby' as she called it. It made
him grin a bit, how she refused to part with something so
special to her. It just made him that much more assured that she
wouldn't leave him too. Quirking a brow as they came up to the
central park, he smiled softly. She never did forget the
details. Getting out and leaning against the car, he looked at
her with that soft expression he only shared with her.
"Of course we can have our wedding here, love." Reaching across
the top of her car, he gently grabbed her hand, running his
thumb over it. "We can be married anywhere, this place is
special, this was where I first looked past all of my insecure
thoughts and stole a kiss from you." He said, winking with a
grin. "No matter where though, as long as I'm marrying you, I'm
the happiest and luckiest man in the world." His lengthy hair
fell over his face as he tipped his head down to hide his blush.
It always embarrassed him when he thought like this, because he
was a big shot gangster, it wasn't really fitting to be
blushing. "So love, where to first?" He said, looking up at her
with those intense grey orbs.

Laughing lightly, Monica had shook her head, it sounded
perfectly right to her. “Otty Donney, wouldn’t that be cute?”
Shaking her head, until they were at the park, she took a deep
breath and smiled at Giotto. “How did I get so lucky to have
you?” Taking her hand away, she lightly traced the car’s surface
as she walked over to Giotto. “I love my OttyBear.” She grinned,
and looked up at him, sliding her arms up his chest, pressing
her body against his. “So much.” Smiling, she leaned on her tip
toes, to press a gentle kiss to his lips, Monica… had changed
since she first met him, and she was a bit on the rougher side,
yet with a giddy personality. But then he had came into her
life, it changed her, she seemed to be happy twenty-four seven,
and all she could think about was the next time she’d be able to
be held by him, kissed by him, and most importantly how much she
loved him. Snapping back to reality, she tilted her head a bit,
and looked at him with those doe looking eyes. The eyes that
held so much love, and so much hope, and faith, it seemed
impossible that this girl had ever had a sad day in her life.
Once she had pulled away, she grinned up at him, and shook her
head. “My baby is perfect the way she is, and I love her, almost
as much as I love you… wait on second thought…” She tilted her
head, placing her fingers by her chin. “I love her more.” She
then winked at Giotto and laughed softly, tightening her arms
around him, she nuzzled her face into his chest, and stood there
for a moment, feeling… complete. Once she finally pulled away,
she placed her hands on her hips, and looked hard at the ground,
as if she were thinking. “Well, since you can’t see the dress,
maybe we should go there first, and have you wait in the care
for about twenty or so minutes, I won’t take too long, I already
have an idea of what I want.” She beamed up at him, and nodded,
“Let’s go!” She got back in the car, and smiled, and she looked
over at him, stroking the steering wheel, lovingly. Suddenly,
her phone rang, she narrowed her eyes, and reached into the
pocket on the side of her car, and pulled it out. She opened her
phone and listened to someone who seemed to be yelling.
Monica laughed and nodded her head. “Yeah, yeah. Linda, you’ll
be my maid of honor, oh and uhh, since you are can you like…
pick of my dress the day before my wedding day?” hearing a yes
of course! Monica smiled then hung up and looked at Giotto,
“Ready to rock and roll, with the best artist out there?” She
grinned from ear to ear.

Giotto felt a bit saddened by the fact that he lost the
warmth of her hand when she took it away. Sighing gently, he
blinked a few times when she was pressed up against him. A grin
spreading across his lips. "More than me huh? Well I was going
to make her mechanically sound and give her what ever paint job
you wanted so she lasted and ran longer.. But if you love her
more than me..." He trailed off, looking off to the side while
he tried not to laugh. Smiling down at her, he pressed his lips
to her's in a loving kiss before she pulled away. "And I love
you, Monica.. So very much." Holding her closer to him, he
sighed in content at feeling her tightly holding onto him. Like
there was nothing else in the world that mattered. His arms
keeping her close as he gently nuzzled her neck. He loved her
more than life it's self, she was the air that filled his lungs
and kept him going. If it weren't for her, he'd probably still
be that steely eyed monster who just did his job and left. He
had always been kind, but he was never merciful. After meeting
her, he felt that compassion to grant a mercy every now and
then. Even though it really shouldn't be in his line of
business.
Smiling when she pulled away, he nodded to her and got into the
car himself. Quirking a brow when she answered her phone, he was
about to snap at who ever was yelling at her. Though he could
only chuckle when he noticed it was her friend, leaning back. "I
don't mind waiting in the car love, how ever long you need."
Leaning back into the seat, he got comfortable and ran his
fingers through his long hair. Some people told him that he
needed to cut it since it was longer than his future wife's, but
he always told them no. With his half japanese heritage, he
wouldn't cut his hair. The fact that he had asian qualities to
him yet still had the white qualities to his eyes and hair color
as well as his height and other things. He really did have the
best of both heritages. Grinning to her, he nodded. "Of course,
where's she at?" He teased, laughing a bit. "I'm kidding!"

Rolling her eyes at him, Monica smiled, reaching over to
pat his leg softly. “You’re lucky I love ya, babe.” She tossed
her pone back to the pocket, and then peeled out of the park, to
get to her favorite bridal dress shop. She leaned over and
kisses his cheek. “I won’t be gone too long and… I’m going to
think about letting you fix, my baby up. Maybe.” Laughing, she
turned the radio on, and started to tune the stations until she
got to a station she hoped Giotto would like, it was a Rock
station, she shuttered at the music, not her type, but oh well.
Slipping from the car, she walked over to the dress shop, and
right on time Linda showed up. “You can either help me pick out
a dress, or… go keep Giotto company.” Linda glanced towards the
car and looked back to Monica. “You know I hate the whole,
trying on dress thing, so I’ll just chill with Giotto.” Giving
her a nod, Linda slipped into the driver’s seat, she glanced
towards Giotto and smiled. “Hey there, Giotto. Are you excited
as Monica is about this whole wedding thing? Being married to my
home girl?”
As Monica entered the bridal shop, she was surrounded by a bunch
of cooing girls, who seemed so damn interested in what she was
going to get. Monica put on her face that she never wore around
Giotto; the face on annoyance, instead of bouncing happiness.
“I’m just looking right now, I’ll be gone soon.” Even as she
spoke her eyes gazed the dresses until she found one… it caught
her eye right off the bat, and took her breath away, it was a
long, white poufy dress, with no sleeves, and purple flowers
littering the white cloth. Her smile grew, and she sharply
turned to look at one of the workers; “You! Get that dress to
me; I want to see it on.” The girl nodded, and scurried into the
back room, She grabbed another version of the dress, and came
back to Monica, who boldly started to trip down, and put the
dress on. It fit her perfectly, and it was just so gorgeous… she
knew this was what she wanted. She gave a nod and handed the
girl a check. “My friend Linda will pick it up in a couple of
days.” The woman nodded, and Monica stood there looking around
for a minute.
