Animal Kingdom 2.0 {WhiteSnow & Tsubaki}

[center]The contestants fought hard, competed to the best of
their ability, and gave it their all in the previous Animel
Kingdom Games. But alas, only one could be the victor. The
Kingdom of Tigers came out on top, their prince; Lucio, the
proud champion.
It had been years upon years since the Games had been held, and
some soon thought that they never would be held again. None of
the Kingdoms; Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Bear, Fox none of them had
heard from the Lord, and Lady for what seemed like an eternity.
It was during these hard times that the peace, and prosperity of
the Kingdoms had diminished, and enemies/allies were formed.
Some long before the Games had ended, and recently once they'd
become a distant memory.
It is now that we shall take a look at two Kingdoms particular
story. The Fox Kingdom, and The Tiger Kingdom. We shall see how
their stories unfold when one risks everything to help the
other. We shall look into the struggles each one faces, and the
threats they encounter. We'll look at the good times, the bad
times, and the tragic times.

[center]"Summoned?"[/center]
[center]Nala Aureson stared cooly at her eldest son and heir to
the throne, her face almost the mirror image of his save for the
high cheekbones and painted red lips that pursed when irritated
or troubled. She was the definition of regal beauty and superb
elegance, much unlike his father who was so grotesquely large
and equipped with a booming voice it was a wonder that he was
not from the Bear Kingdom. It was even more of a wonder that all
the queens children inherited her side of the genes, but Lucio
viewed it more as a blessing. Snow Tigers were supposed to be
nimble and beautiful, untouchable to those lower beneath them.
His father was anything but. His father was a man carved in ice
and welded by metal- with an almost overbearing presence. A good
man, loyal, and crafted to be king. But what they held in beauty
from their mother, they all seemed to have inherited the fierce
brutality and sharp wit of their father king. [/center]
[center]"Yes Lucio, it seems that the neighboring Kingdom of The
Fox has requested our presence." Nala spoke down to her son from
her white marble throne, looking as much the queen and playing
the part just as well.
"Why is that?" Lucio narrowed his icy eyes at his mother,
thoughts of an arranged marriage forming in his head. Being the
eldest was not all it was cracked up to be and the word
'responsibility' was used more than he liked as he got older and
that much closer to the throne. [/center]
[center]"It seems there is trouble in the kingdom. Trouble that
I am sending you to fix, I will not have what those fox dragged
in coming to my kingdom. Zendaya calls for allies and leaves
much to be questioned with her letter so bare! And to think she
had the nerve to send it on the back of some filthy mongrel."
Nala tossed the broken sealed letter to Lucio, who caught it
without effort. He rolled his eyes at his mothers words and
didn't bother to hide the display of disrespect. He happened to
like the Fox Kingdom. But it was true that the letter was bare,
with almost no information as to what was going on, he turned
his icy blue eyes away from the parchment and looked at his lady
mother. "You don't suppose this is some trick? It will take
nearly a forthnight for me to reach the castle..." Lucio hated
travelling, it was so tiring and took so long. He'd much rather
just lay around in the sun than have to deal with the problems
of others. Ah, but it was his 'responsibility' as future king
and heir to the throne. [/center]

"Trick or not. You will be going. I've arranged fifty guard to
escort you and I will send more if you so request, though I have
no doubt you can handle yourself. I expect full letters weekly
of the ongoings at the castle, I refuse to be left in the dark."
Nala pursed her lips, an all tell sign of something troubling
her- as to what? Lucio would never guess.[/center]
[center]"As you wish, mother." And with that being his final
words, The Prince of The Snow Tigers turned on his heel and
quietly left the room, dreading the trip ahead of him.[/center]

[center]She sat anxiously on the ebony throne that had been
bestowed upon her at the young age of 18. It'd been nearly 7
years since then...
A young, 25 year old Zendaya figited in that godforsaken chair,
topaz eyes narrowed, hands fiddling with the hem of her
clothing, legs shaking restlessly, and tail thumping hard on the
ground a dull thud following every flick. She'd been nervous
ever since Orella had come to her in warning of that little
traitor, Mica. She still couldnt get over it...couldnt get over
how her own personal guard would sell out her Kingdom to
another. One of which he wont name. The fox was now in custody,
and every measure was being taken to make sure the sly, little
devil would escape.
Unfortunately getting information out of him seemed to be
futile. No matter how much the Royal Guard tried, he wouldnt
speak. Mica wouldnt even talk to her. Hell, he wouldnt even LOOK
at her. She'd even tried violent tactics, and left the damned
fox in that groggy cell battered, bruised, and bloodied.
It was only then that she had sent Lilia out with the message to
her three allying Kingdoms; The Bears, Dragons, and Tigers. She
only had to wait until the Autumn hued female returned with a
report. In the meantime, she'd finally fallen out of her anger
fueled stupor, and noticed everything that was going on aroun
dher. Each, and every fox, some animal, others human form,
scurried about the Ebony Castle. They darted this way, and that
whispering their worries about the threat on their Kingdom, and
their doubts about Zendaya's ability to handle the situation.
About the only thing she did right in this situation was play
the Coward Card, and send for backup to protect her, and her
Kingdom....though SHE of all people didnt dare think they'd not
join in the fihgt should one even come. She'd definitely
help...definitely defend her Kingdom, or die trying. Each, and
every thing they said only ticked her off more, but she let it
be because, for the sake of every person in this room, Lilia had
returned.
The Red fox trotted up to the throne, and sat upon her haunches,
her head bowing toward her queen. Zena was overjoyed to see her
new Personal Guard return safely, and slid from her throne, her
human form slowly fading to be replaced by the small, black fox.
Zena sat before Lilia, and tilted her head in question.
"The news?"
She sure hadnt wasted time in getting sraight to the point. The
white tip of her tail flicked in irritation when Lilia hadnt
answered immediately, but the girl said nothing.
She'd...slightly matured since the First, and Last games she had
attended. The red fox before her sighed, and bowed her head once
more, her marron colored ears drooping with the news.
"The Tigers are the only ones who head your call, M'Lady. The
Bears are having problems of their own, and The Dragons wouldnt
allow me access as...I am not YOU. Forgive me, M'Lady.
Nonetheless, the Tigers are sending Their Prince, and a group of
Guards with him to aid us, and see what our problems are. Im
afraid to say Queen Nala was not happy about your vague letter."
Zena scoffed. She couldnt reveal too much in the letter for fear
that Lilia would be apprehended on her journey, and the enemy
had read said letter. The fox did a form of a shrug, and turned
back to her throne, her fox form leaping up into the seat, and
then sit there, her head held high.
"I suppose we wait for Lucio now."
And so they did.[/center]

[center]As expected the trip had been almost unbearable,
especially since it was a long summer and Snow Tigers did not
bode well with the heat. Half the trip he spent lounging in the
carriage in his animal form, the other half he spent damning his
mother and The Fox Kingdom. The trip had been painfully slow and
the beauty of nature did absolutely nothing to raise Lucio's
spirits during the trip. He hadn't travelled very far ever since
the Animal Kingdom Games, and that had been years ago. Just when
he thought he was going to get the easy route to the throne,
Zendaya had to throw her troubles his way. Not that he didn't
like the young fox girls presence, he just didn't like to answer
to others biddings- he was too proud, a trait that his father
often told him would not win his peoples favor.
Lucio didn't care.
It had taken a little under a week for them to reach the
outskirts of The Fox Kingdom, the walls to the city large and
imposing, but the city itself meek in comparison to the of The
Snow Tigers. The Fox's, it seemed, worked with what little they
had and could live sufficiently. Lucio chose to walk to the
castle once his men and him had passed through the gates, he
always liked to put on a show. As they marched through the city
The Snow Tiger banner waved proudly for all to see, three silver
claw marks against a background of sky blue- the royal house
symbol. The gaurds and handful of knights rode behind him, while
he led them with glory in his animal form. Eyes followed them
and people scrambled to make way in the streets as whispers
followed them all the way up the main road to the castle. If he
had been in his human form, no doubt he would have been grinning
ear to ear loving the attention.[/center]

[center]4 to 5 days had passed, and with each passing hour,
Zendaya found herself growing more, and more anxious for the
damned Tigers arrival. She'd arranged the castle to be cleaned
thrice over; Ebony walls glimmered, and sparkled as the Foxes
worked vigorously to do as the Queen had ordered. A room was
prepared for Lucio, low in temprature, or as low as she could
have it with this hot Summer still rolling about.She'd had a
feast being prepared the instant that one of her scouts reported
seeing the Tiger's carriage approaching, and she hoped that this
welcoming in the Castle would be appreciated, and to his liking.
All she could do now was sit in the throne, and wait.
The fox occupied herself by watching as tables were set up
vertically on either side of the large, throne room. Dishes were
then sat upon the surfaces; assortments oof meats, and
vegitables, bottles of fine wine in buckets of ice, and many
more tasteful things. A welcoming that she thought would be
suitable...for the most part. Zena sighed, her left ear
flicking, and twitching nonstop as she waited for Lucio to
arrive.
"He's probably having a field day in the Town. Showing off..."
The girls mumble caused a small smile to curve her lips before a
sigh caused the smile to falter before it was replaced with the
purt line that had become natural in all her worry.[/center]

[center]By the time Lucio reached the castle gates, he had
stirred up enough excitement that the entire city buzzed with
noise and people scrambling to make accomodations. Inn Keeps and
Brothels seemed to practically spring out of nowhere, Lucio's
one hundred plus gaurds being a welcome sight to those wishing
to earn extra coin. (He'd decided to bring extra company, just
in case.) Everyone knew The Snow Tiger banner and what it
symbolized- wealth and power. And in times like these, wealth
and power was more than just a welcomed sight. It was salvation.
To the towns people, Lucio was looked upon as some sort of
living legend since he had been the very last champion of The
Animal Kingdom games.
He was the last living icon of someone who had been there in the
time of peace throughout the kingdoms. Now..now something dark
lingered upon the shoulders of lords and ladies across the land,
the talk of war became an almost hushed curse, and the
dissappearance of the Lord and Lady who hosted the games left
everyone with a bitter taste in their mouth. Lucio would be a
fool if he denied the changes in the lands and Seven Kingdoms.
In fact, he believed his lady mother was scared. During his trip
here he had thought long and hard over his mother and why she so
readily sent him out to The Fox Kingdom- something that was
quite unlike her. Unless. Unless she didn't trust anyone else to
take the task, something that was almost absurd to Lucio seeing
as everyone in The Snow Tiger Kingdom was loyal. Right?[/center]
[center]"Loyalty lies only in blood, Lucio. The coin can only
buy loyalty for so long." It had been something his father said
a long time ago. Curious as to why he would remember that now as
he gazed up at the black iron gates of the castle. They were
crafted beautifully to say the least. The molding of the metal
spoke of great craftmanship with the way the black iron curled
in a way that portrayed the michevious nature of the fox. He was
brought out of his musings as the gate opened with a loud
screech that made him flatten his ears to his head and wrinkle
his snout. 'My first mission here will be to get that gate
oiled.' He thought as he strolled in through the gates, most of
his entourage following in behind him. The others seemed to have
fallen back down the rode, finding the brothels a little more
appealing than court duty. Lucio didn't blame them.[/center]
[center]Deciding it would be rude of him to drag his dirty paws
through the castle, Lucio made one loud roar alerting the queen
of his presence before he switched into his human form. His
human form, was the definition of icy beauty. He had long ashy
hair that was thick and braided down his back with bangs that
lazily hung in his frost colored eyes, he had a face that was
defined in all the right places and skin that was pale like snow
and made his slited eyes stand out all the much more and seem
hypnotic. He was a tall man built like a tiger, not overly large
but powerful looking. Lucio moved with the quiet grace of his
mother and with the permanent smirk of his father, a sharp fang
poking out between his lips. Despite the travel, he looked as
fresh as untouched snow.[/center]

Zendaya grumbled to herself when word of the tiger treading
through her kingdom reached the castle, her large, black ears
twitching in wonder and frustration. He'd never miss the chance
to make a scene. The thought of getting all that attention was
like a drug to Lucio. He absolutely loved the attention, and
from what she could remember, he especially loved physical
attention. She smiled at the thought for a few seconds before
the booming roar of the Tiger Prince rang loud in her large
ears. Was he not coming in now?
All the food.....
Zena grumbled again, lept from the throne, her body shifting in
mid air. She landed on the ground on all four paws, a little
black streak racing through the halls of the castle until she
slipped out the front doors, and skidded to a stop in front of
Lucio himself. Had Kitty gotten larger, or had she just
forgotten how much bigger the tiger was from the fox? The canine
like mammal tilted her head to the side once, her bright, topaz
eyes gazing curiously at Lucio before she sat on her haunches. A
bow was directed toward the tiger at the same time that a white
tipped tail came to wrap around the fox's small frame. She'd
wait for him to shift, and speak before she did.
She was far to nervous about being surrounded by a large amount
of big cats as it was.
