Live life as it is. (RP)

It seemed the first day of the summer, and it was so quiet
outside. Everything was silent, except for the cheery birds
singing. I looked up at the blue sky, watching a few beautiful
pearly white clouds pass by. It was a bit windy, but I actually
liked that. Sitting on the front porch, I simply waited for
something to happen. It wasn't a busy street I lived in, but it
was still quite outgoing, except for today. Today seemed as if
people already were on vacation. I sighed and held the cup of
coffee closer to my body, closing my eyes. I got tired of
waiting for things to happen, but what else could I do? Should I
just go up the street and search for an adventure? No, I wasn't
like that. I loved to sit at home and take care of my pets. Just
two birds. Two parrots to be exact. I loved them a lot and they
always cheered me up. They could talk pretty well so I never
felt lonely. I finally got up after a good fifteen minutes and
opened my eyes. I was usually daydreaming. My coffee was still
warm luckily. Taking a sip from it, I watched the street, seeing
a couple pass by. Smiling at them, I nodded and went inside. It
wasn't a hot summer day, but a nice temperature, that inside
seemed a bit chilly. I put the coffee away and fed my two lovely
parrots. Petting them first, I then walked back out and closed
the door, locking it. I had grabbed my little pouch and simply
swayed it lazily next to me. My long T-shirt covered most of my
top body, that my short shorts were barely visable. My look
seemed a bit saddened, but that was just natural. I still had to
go to college, but today was weekend. Just one more week and
summer break would start. Stretching, I just walked to the new
mall, wondering if I could find something there. I just wanted
to relax really, not bothering to call some of my friends. As I
finally found a cafe, I sat down and ordered another coffee,
waiting patiently, watching people just walk by since I sat at
the glass window.

Too early. The words ran through a dazed mind as a body
twisted into blue covers. Hands reaching out for a phone that
seemed to be all too noisy for the light that slipped through
the curtains. Slipping an arm beneath the pillow and holding the
phone up, slitted pale gold orbs ran over the text message.
"Annoying. Too early. Go away." Groaning, my mind had always
been something of a morning hater. Sighing as the phone went off
again, there wasn't an end to the morning torture. First the sun
always had perfect aim through my curtains, even if I drew them
shut, they some how opened over night. Probably Liku playing
around them, damn that cat. Face planting into the pillow, I
grunted before stretching tense muscles and getting up. It was
like this every day, complaining about the morning, changing
into different clothes, feeding my beloved kitten Liku, and
leaving the house. Being up all hours of the night studying and
doing other things often didn't help my morning happiness
either, though it's been said those who stay up late at night
have a higher IQ than people who sleep normally. Shrugging at
the thought as I pulled on my torn blue jeans and my white
button up, I gave out a yawn and shook my head before grabbing
my bag and heading out the door.
It was usually like this for me, no one around so early. Though
I didn't much mind it, I preferred people to leave me alone.
Having that all too fan girl worthy feminine face, I despise
that I looked like my mother. It was too much attention and I
was someone who preferred to remain in a corner. Yet, I often
found myself putting on an act of smiles and approval for the
bullshit that was handed to me. Rubbing the back of my head as I
trailed down the side walk, there really was nothing to do or
think about, other than the fact that I needed to wake up.
Though I had decided against a run this morning, I'd much rather
do that in the afternoon rather than the damn breach of light.
Going up the stairs and into the mall, I went to the same cafe I
normally did and sat down in the same spot I normally do,
staring out of the window without much care in the world after I
ordered. Yet what wasn't something normal was someone else
sitting by the windows, my back to whom ever it was, I decided
to simply shrug it off.

Once the coffee was brought to me, it made me feel glad that it
had arrived finally. Placing my hands around it like I usually
did, I kept staring out the window. It was dead at the mall as
well and that was quite strange. Normally it was filled with
people. I had no idea what time it was actually. I never even
bothered to look yet this morning. Normally, I forgot what time
it was anyway, and now that the sun was out early in the summer,
it confused me more. I barely slept at night, and the time
confusion was what lead to it. Looking at my watch, I frowned.
"It's just ten past seven am?" I said quite surprised, sighing
afterwards. It was incredible how less attention I paid to
everything. Even school was hard that way. I just couldn't
concentrate and my grades weren't all that great either. Looking
up as I heard footsteps, I frowned lightly. The red locks were
always pulling attention, as well as his quite feminine face.
Smiling a bit at the male, I had no idea what to say. My
heartbeat raced a bit, but that was normal when having a crush
on someone, right? I knew he had a lot of fan girls, so I just
stayed quiet anyway. As he sat with his back to me, I looked
back down at my coffee, shaking my head a bit. He wouldn't know
me anyway. I was always the grey mouse anyway. No one really
knew my name or anything. Even my classmates didn't, or just
took my seat because they forgot I was there. Sighing at the
thoughts, I sipped from the coffee. I asked the waitress to come
to me and ordered a bagel to have breakfast at least. Plus a
muffin. I just loved muffins. Especially the blueberry ones.
Waiting, I kept looking at the boy's back, thinking so much
about imaginary stuff, things that would never happen anyway. I
had no idea what to do, so I kept silent for now, hoping for the
best and that I wouldn't make a fool out of myself, like I
usually did.

When I finally got some coffee in my hand, I had perked
up a bit. There was more to me than people though, yet I didn't
try to correct them. The tall, feminine, every girl's dream guy
wasn't who I generally was. Instead of being some egotistical
prick and everything, I tried to stray from that lifestyle. It
was annoying, really. Taking a drink, I felt eyes upon me and
quirked a brow. Was someone I knew here? Turning to look around
for a moment, she caught the different colored orbs I carried
and I tilted my head a bit. She looked oddly familiar, too
familiar to be someone I had simply brushed by on the street.
Examining for a moment, I couldn't see her face, a frown curled
my lips. Getting up for a second, I considered approaching but
then hesitated. Would she do the same thing as those fan girls?
Squeal and jump all over me? Shaking my head, I tossed aside
that assumption and turned to stand next to her, leaning forward
to look at her. "You look familiar, miss. Do I know you? Sorry
if I'm being intrusive, I'm just curious because I feel as
though you're someone I see every day." Straightening up, I took
a drink of my coffee before ruffling the back of red hair. Greh.
I forgot my contacts.
Sighing at the thought, I had normally worn colored contacts to
ensure that no one took notice of my two colored eyes. One gold,
the other blue. It was a genetic defect and I despised it with
every fiber in my being as well as having my mother's looks. How
the pretty boys at school did it every day, I'd never
understand. Maybe because they were bred and raised to be cocky
bastards, but I wasn't.

I took a small bite from the bagel as I noticed Pray getting up.
Of course I knew his name. I really liked him. But then again,
what did I have to say? My heart ached a bit as I thought he was
ready to go already. Looking back down at my muffin, I just
plucked at it lightly. As he turned to me and actually stood
next to me, I frowned and looked up. God my heart went so
quickly. As he seemed to look closer at me, I just swallowed a
bit. As he asked who I was and that I seemed familiar, my heart
sank. My expression saddened as well. He didn't recognize me
either. I seemed familiar, just like everyday, but no one knew
who I was. Maybe it was better like that, but it still hurt
quite a lot. I tried to smile, but it just didn't came. "I'm
Leia.. Your classmate at college." I said hesitatingly. I didn't
squeal or jump all over him like most girls did. I didn't think
it would be good to do so anyway. And why should I? He probably
didn't see anything in me anyway. Looking away from him again, I
had noticed his different colored eyes. I personally liked it,
but then again, I liked everything about him. Shaking my head, I
shrugged. "Please, do not waste your time here with me, really.
I'll see you in class again... or not." I said in a soft quiet
voice. I had to push back all my hurting feelings and just seem
casual. It was harder than I thought, and I munched from the
bagel again, taking a sip coffee, trying to look as calm as
possible. This day had started horribly already. I just wanted
to run away and cry, but I saw no chance possible, whatsoever.

The way her expression contorted into sadness quirked my
curiosity more. Though as she spoke her name, I tilted my head a
bit and scrunched my nose. Leia.. Frowning a bit, I looked down
at her when she spoke again and nearly leaped out of my skin at
what she said. "Excuse me? Now hold on just a second Miss Leia
Taylor. Don't go about downing yourself like that just because I
didn't recognize you at first. That's not the way to go about
things. You should be smiling, not looking like you were just
hit with a truck. Don't ever let someone make you feel so down,
alright? Now as for my not recognizing you, I'm sorry.. I see a
lot of people every day and they tend to jump all over me. I
don't even know half of their names. So don't take it to heart
if I didn't notice you in class, it's because people tend to not
leave me alone long enough to actually converse with normal
people instead of all those touchy people that enjoy making me
want to hide in a corner to get away from them." Sighing, I
rubbed the back of my head and looked at her with a stern
expression. "Never let anyone make you look down on yourself.
Not a single soul should do so. Take pride in who you are and
simply stand tall, because from what I can see, you seem like a
very sweet person who's got too big of a heart that can be
easily strained."
Bowing politely, I flashed her a smile, not like one of those
fake ones I had daily. "Enjoy your day, Leia." The fact that I
could remember the Taylor part of her name was a miracle all on
it's own, but I had. Sitting back down, I pulled a book out of
my bag and leaned back against the wall, taking a drink of my
coffee and opening it up. Many people wouldn't have ever thought
I was someone to read let alone even get good grades in school.
Yet that was just judgment and assumption. Rarely paying any
mind to that, I strayed from confrontation of it every time it
was brought up. Didn't want to make things harder on myself than
they already were.

I flinched lightly as he spoke. His words came into my head like
thunder crashes, making my skin crawl more. I got up suddenly,
bumping the coffee aside. It stained my shirt but I really
didn't care. I clenched my fists and looked down, letting my
long brown hair cover my face. It was surprising he knew my
second name though. But I couldn't control this impulse inside
of me. All this hurt and frustrating feelings got the best of
me. I pressed my finger against his chest and looked up at him
with an angered and saddened expression. "What do you know?! I
understand you're the populair one, while I'm the ghost one! But
don't you just assume anything just because I seem sad! You have
no idea what's going on at all in class because of those sluts
that keep swarming around you! Just because I flashed you a
smile or looked at you in class, I got in trouble after school
with girls! They lock me up at the gym class or just beat me
till I'm numb! You don't see it because no one does, and why
should I tell someone after it happens? They just think I fell
down the stairs or am that clumsy to lock myself up at school!
Just because I like you differently than those bitches around
you, makes me a bad girl in class and nearly forgotten! Don't
just think it's easy to think positive after all these stupid
school years have passed! Did you know we were in class for like
five years and this has happened all five years?! I realized
you're different than those other scumbag jerks, but it doesn't
chance those girls!"
I freaked out and panicked, not even believing I just snapped at
him like that. My skin was hurting from the burning coffee at my
stomach and arm, but I really didn't care at this point. Tears
ran down my cheeks and I just shoved him aside as he got his
book. He probably hated me now, but I couldn't help myself. I
felt like such an idiot, and knew this was stupid. I felt the
waitresses looking at me, making me feel even smaller. I simply
ran out of the cafe after grabbing my pouch, running to a store
full of clothing that just had opened. I sat down in a changing
room, pulling my knees up on the chair, so my feet weren't
showing underneath the curtains. I weeped a bit, having no clue
why I freaked out so badly at him. I felt like I lost my
chances, but I had to go on somehow. Taking deep breaths, I
simply wished I'd fall through the ground and not having to face
him anymore.

Eyes widened when she jerked herself up and started to
go off on him. Just what in the hell had I done this time?! Yet
as she continued on, my expression contorted to surprise. I
honestly hadn't known that they were treating her like that. Yet
she had still come to school and still went on. Damnit, I was
such an idiot. Frowning, I put my book away, set my coffee on
the table and slung my bag over my shoulder. Thank god I had my
father's height rather than my mother's, else it would've been
impossible to see where she had gone. Sighing, the bull
headedness kicked in and I went straight up to the dressing
room, throwing the curtain back and leaning down. Picking her up
and gently placing her over my shoulder, I started to walk out
of the store, ignoring the stares and whispers. For fuck's sake,
I was far too assertive some times but goddamnit she'd listen
one way or another. Luckily, I only lived a block from the mall.
Walking down the street, keeping a tight but light hold on her,
I jostled my keys from my pocket and unlocked the door to my
apartment. Stepping inside and settling her down on the couch, I
gave her a harsh look. "Don't you dare move, Leia. I'll be right
back and then we're going to talk about this."
Straightening up, I went into the laundry room and grabbed the
first aid kit and wetted a wash cloth. Returning to her, I
frowned as I crouched down and started to dab away the coffee on
her shirt and arm. "Now you listen here, miss. If I had any idea
of that happening to you, I would've put a stop to it long ago.
You should have told me, not hid it. Fear or no fear, being hurt
like that is something that shouldn't have happened. For fuck's
sake, you just putting up with that for so long is bad enough.
And trust me when I say this, I'm going to put an end to that
bull shit quick fast and in a hurry. All I need you to do is
point them out or write their names down. That's all. And hey.."
Pausing, I looked up at her and kept that small frown. "I didn't
choose to be popular.. I wanted to be left alone, but I didn't
have much choice in the matter because I look like my mother. I
may look like I'm enjoying myself with all their senseless
banter and bullshit, but I honestly hate it. I only put up with
it because I'd rather put up with that than to end up fucking
myself up and never getting any of my work done."

The moment he actually found me, I flinched and panicked. I
actually thought I'd get another yelling but instead he picked
me up and I laid over his shoulder. Being filled with surprise,
I hit his back lightly. "Let me go! What do you think you're
doing?! Just put me down! I'm sorry okay?!" I frantically said,
squirming a bit against his grip. He was clearly stronger and it
bothered me I was this weak. Looking around the street, I gave
up after a few minutes and sighed. As he took his keys and
stopped at a house, I freaked even more. "No! Don't bring me
inside your house!" I yelled, but he apparently didn't listen.
As he set me down on a couch, I pouted and looked away, sitting
where I was. As he came back and took care of the coffee stains,
I just sighed and shook my head. "I'm sorry for that snapping...
I just.. can't keep holding it in all the time. I could have
told you much sooner, but if I did, they threatened to make my
life completely miserable, twenty-four seven. I didn't want to
risk that, plus they said they are better for you anyway. I'd
never be able to come that close to you or even have any chance,
because for one I'm not blonde or popular." I said quietly,
looking down, sighing a bit. I had no clue what to say really. I
wasn't planning to tell him anyway. Shaking my head, I shrugged.
"I can't tell you.. I mean.. they nearly took my two beloved
parrots away, but then I promised them I would never tell
anyone." I whispered, clenching my fists. Getting up, I sighed
and looked at him a bit saddened. "I'm sorry, but you can't help
me here. I need to fix it myself.. somehow. Maybe, you can help
me monday. They do plan to give me a 'shower' after school, at
the outside swimmingpool for swimming lessons." I spoke softly,
looking at his door, wondering if it was okay to just leave.

Listening to her, I found myself becoming more and more
irritated with the women who were doing this. Getting a cooling
pad from the white box, I gently grabbed her hand and
straightened her arm, putting it delicately on the burn. "Then
that means they know where you live. If they can threaten to
take your parrots away and you take them seriously, they'd have
to." Grabbing her shoulder, I carefully pushed her onto her back
and moved her shirt up just enough to look at the red mark and
put another cooling pad against her skin. Straightening up,
anyone could tell I was pretty pissed at this point. Though as
Liku came trotting in with her head held in glory with her
fluffy white tail in her mouth, I could only quirk a brow. "What
are you, a dog? Chasing your tail now?" The kitten loomed over
to Leia and jumped onto her lap as I trailed down the hall. "I'm
getting you another shirt. Since your's is wet." Even if it
seemed like I had been ignoring her words on liking me, I was
actually thinking on them pretty hard. Why in the hell would a
normal girl even look at the likes of me? I was an ass! Shaking
my head, I snatched a t-shirt from the drawer and came back,
handing the white and black shirt to her before turning my back.
"Go ahead and change into that, then I'll walk you home to get
some stuff. You're staying here until Monday. Bring your parrots
as well. If they know where you live, then it's honestly not
safe for you there until this is taken care of. I wont take no
for an answer. This is my fault and you can say I have no way of
fixing things, but I've got a pretty good idea of how to
already. If they want to be cold hearted skanks, then I'll treat
them as such. I think puke green will look nice on such
wretches. If they want to play like that, then I'll play along
on their terms." If they wanted to gang up on her, then I'd do
the same in a different way. Pulling out my cell phone, I
scrolled through the contacts and found the only person that
honestly really got me at all. Putting the phone up to my ear, I
waited until he picked up. "Ryan, I need a favor. I need you to
get me enough sick green dye to fill the outside pool at school.
Think you can do it?" There was a short pause before he spoke
and it made me a bit nervous. Yeah, I can get that from my old
man's store. You owe me though man. Nodding, I smirked. "Yeah, I
owe ya. Just bring it by in about an hour. I do believe we've
got some people to make the same color as their shit
personalities." Hanging up, I didn't turn back around yet. "Have
you finished changing yet? I'd rather not turn around and get a
nose bleed."
