alternator for small FOUR stroke 2 or 2.5 hp

I have 2 small Honda 4 strokes I bought awhile ago and I have
been dreaming of making some kind of generator or alternator to
get some power from them.. they are something like 8000 max
rpm... 2 HP.... my question is would I be better off to make the
'power head', or should I try to find an appropriate induction
motor and add neo magnets? I think the answer depends on time
money patience avalible because custom is best, right? But I
have no idea where to start , like where do I find the formulas
and stuff that you would use? Any help is very much appreciated,
and even if I have to buy these formulas and info I'm still very
       much interested...
And also I was planning on ordering probably about at least a
$30 roll of 22 awg mag wire from eBay most likely, could
somebody please let me know where the best place to buy is as I
plan on buying a lot of mag wire in the near future for my
projects but I I'm just looking for a small 1200 or so foot
spool at the moment I think I seen something like 1500 ft for
about $30 delivered , but I'm not sure on quality or price....
thank all of you keep up the good work!

If you are wanting low voltage like 12v then the easy option
would be to use a car alternator to charge the battery. Car
alternators are also designed to run at high rpm + they have all
       the voltage controllers built in.
Building your own alternator is a good way to learn but you
would have to be very careful about centrifugal forces at 8000
       Rpm !!!. :o
For high voltage (120v/240v) then you could use a induction
motor (un-modified) with a capacitor but the speed must be
controlled to give the correct voltage and frequency. There are
       many YouTube videos on this.
Regarding magnet wire it is sold by weight so the thicker the
wire the less the length and vice-versa.
