Hi, the only kit I could find at about the size was the Stuart
Sirius, but you have to machine it. I solved my machining
problems so it looks like I should be able complete my project
within a few weeks. Thanks for the info.

       @Burnit
Yes, there isn't much out there in an appropriate size for an
indoor woodstove steam generator. It's either a toy or meant
for steam boats with their big complicated boilers. That's what
got me into this a long time ago and I still haven't decided on
a product to manufacture and sell. The more I learn the more I
       learn I don't know.
You are going through the same process I went through many years
       ago.
I could be a know it all and tell you things, but I understand
you want to learn by doing.

Oooops. Turns out the little espresso machine boiler only puts
out 15 psi. So at 30 psi this little engine would probably do
much better. I am just glad it ran as well as it did.

my wife has a pressure cooker that has a tube coming out the top
and a rocking weight controls the pressure, letting a little
steam escape each time it rocks from its static horizontal
position. This tube could be fitted with a tube going to the
steam engine. Bet it would make lots of pressure.

Here's a followup video on the small steam engine. Its just a
proof of concept, small low pressure engine making electricity
       with a direct drive PMA.

Im going to ask what is probably a stupid question :
why do these steam engines need to be lubricated so often? is
it because the water washes it away?
my bicycle will go all year with one lube.

It's because they were designed for indoors, all exposed parts
and they had an operator who was paid to fill the grease cups,
and oil things and fill the cylinder lubricator. Most steam
engines are models of these old engines. And yes the cylinder
is washed by the steam and needs a tiny drop of oil each
revolution. Its not a lot of oil.
There were some engines (Doble) with sealed crank cases but they
       still needed cylinder lubrication.
Someday someday...the engine I am planning on making can be
completely sealed, no leaks, no lubing, just steam in, exhaust
       out and AC connection.

Can you cature the ac wave shape of that single coil alternator
       and post it?

Don't have an Oscope. I can't imagine the sine wave is anything
but a nice smooth sine wave.
