They fit real close! the heaver aluminum forms real nice (very
little spring back ) then all I did was apply glue and slide
them in and tape to make sure everything stayed put while glue
       hardened .

@lynx I will make you a wing out of aluminum and ship it to you
so you can see if its anything you could use! I will make it as
large as I can with what I have on hand which should be as big
as your gull 160 . Since you have been perfecting this windmill
for a time you would have the best judgment weather it will hold
       up for 10 years

You guys have been busy. I have been in San Diego for a couple
of days on business and got a bad cold on the way. I don't like
typing on the iphone, it's a pain. I would love to see the
       aluminum blade.

OK I have hit a snag ! on shipping that wing to you @Lw I was
not happy with that one I made out of the thinner aluminum ! I
asked neighbor for another piece, but I think I will just ask
him to sell me a whole roll .(I may go and see what they have at
Menard's) I took the wing I made and tried to fill it with
expanding foam (great stuff) well that's what they call it, and
I am still not happy with the results. I still like the wing I
made for my diy 75 but I know I can improve on them . Will get
there soon, but I hear we are in for another snow storm (will
this ever stop ) I can just see LW sitting back in his recliner
snickering on my attempts to improve on something he has spent a
       lot of time perfecting .

No hurry. I have used the thin flashing before. It isn't
strong enough and will deform without a lot of stiffeners which
is a lot of work. I think a thicker aluminum could work well
       but may be heavy.
The fiberglass versions are quite easy and rigid. I will try
the ABS 0.060" this week and report back. I am looking for
something easy, inexpensive and professional looking.
If it's just one Turbine you're making the time is worth it.
Try making several a week and you will be looking for something
       simpler too.

@CG Np on not knowing about great stuff I had a can in the
garage and found out they have an expiration date on them ! (it
didn't all set up ) the wing I put it in was not good enough
anyway so it was a flop to begin with .
@LW I made a wing out of the heaver aluminum .020 (scrap piece
) but its only 14" x 6 3/4 and it weighs 165 grams with no
formers (just the skin) do you think that's going to be to
heavy when I get it to proper length. I would imagine it will be
in the 240/260 range complete, my diy 75 wings are 220 complete
       .

Ok I made a new wing today and its in glue drying stage ! I
think its as big as the Gull 160, I was pleasingly surprised its
seem as strong as the ones I made for my diy 75 even though its
so much bigger but will know more after it drys and I can handle
it more , I weighed it and it is 335 grams

Yes it is I think its for the gull 160 ? (not sure of size ) I
wanted to try and make a wing bigger to see how strong it was
with only 2 formers and I think its strong enough to withstand
high winds without deforming or coming apart .
