       I like it. Such a simple device to bring people light. You are
       using a 8v : 120v transformer - how did you discover that?
       I have been sending a lot of units down to Puerto Rico.
       My newest unit has a smaller ferrite choke which required a
       different turns ratio. I now use 80:20 on the small clamp on
       ferrite choke. I built in the 3 way receptacle as well. The
       newer unit design was done with input and requests from the
       people down in Puerto Rico. They are still using units we sent
       five years ago!
       This newest unit lights a 6 w LED bulb with 330ma, and two bulbs
       at 510ma.

       I just had a junk box full of those transformers, and they had
       been laying around for 20 years, I thought I'd find a use for
       them.
       Nice unit you made. If the transformer doesn' t get warm you
       could encapsulate it.
       I was always afraid to sell a unit with a recepticle on it for
       fear the user would try to plug in something other that an LED
       bulb.
