My new project is showing great promise.
It has a wind amplifier that makes the turbine spin twice as
fast.

Twin turbines with deflector / wind amplifiers performs at over
twice the speed (TSR) of traditional Savonius wind turbines.
Since this turbine must track the wind a tail is included in the
design. VAWT's in a wind farm can be placed closer together than
HAWTS and with the wind amplifier they can be close to the
ground. They make no noise and do not kill birds.
Normally a Savonius VAWT will only be 15% efficient and achieve
a TSR of 0.85 at best. The wind amplifier on this Twin, Counter
rotation, VAWT increases or more than doubles the effective wind
speed, so efficiency is increased by more than 2 times. This
turbine should be able to charge batteries in very low winds.
Fastest Savonius on the planet.
TSR 2.10 , @165 rpm, in 2.3 mph breeze. Wind Amplifier is 2X.

This vawt was sent to the trash, not because it was bad, but
because I have no wind and lost interest in VAWT's.
