Did I miss something?

Hi everyone:
I´m looking for the right shape and dimensions of the wings tips
for Seagull 75. I cannot find this in the file I received after
buying the plans. Missed something?
Also, sorry for my english.

Any size that is the same profile of the wing will work. Just
make them 150% of the wing size. If you make the turbine like in
the directions, sooner or later water will get inside the wings
and melt the paper and glue, then the water inside will
unbalance the turbine and it will come apart.

Thanks Bassman. I will try to do the best with the
fiberglassing. The next one will have a core of some kind of
"foam".

It is a good design to learn sbout vawts. It works well and
could charge a cell phone or other small battery. The bearing
system is unique.

I have also had trouble with the TE of the blades splitting
open. There is a lot of pull on the blade skin when winds are
high. I am moving toward the aluminum skins that SUT came up
with. They are so easy once you get setup - and performance is
superb!
I have pretty much finished with the new DIY Seagull plans. The
update is extensive but almost all the techniques will be
familiar. The hub is much improved, and the plans overall are
simplified and thorough. If anyone here wants to take a look
and comment before the release, just PM me with your email and I
will send them.
I plan to add a complete inventory of parts, components and
hardware in coming weeks for people not wanting to wind coils,
make blades, find steel plate, or search hardware stores for
odds and ends.
I also plan on adding manufactured PMAs in various
configurations to the product list. From a simple single phase
single plate to a high performance 3 phase dual plate low
resistance brute.

Thanks, people. My Linx75 is up and running. Let´s say running.
Tests and more tests. I also changed the bearing system and now
I use a "true" ball bearing. Also I did some test with the
voltage doubler but i have discarded it: Wind or nothing.
Next stop: Wings of HD foam and covered with resin
(poliurethane).

Hi Steve: Seeing your video I´m sure that my wingtips are
totally wrong. I printed a bigger size of the template and put
over the wings. Same shape as wings but wider and longer. Time
to rebuild.

I would read all the diy seagul posts before trashing your
build. Steve's wingtips are Steve's wingtips, yours are not
necessarily wrong. Post pictures.
