Hybrid Vawt

I have been thinking of building this type of windmill , my
thoughts are that If you build a windmill with 2 types of wing
you would get the best of a lift vawt and a savonius vawt. If
you use the savonius for the torque you could have a alt that
cuts in sooner than a lift vawt, then have the lift part take
over for the high speed part. I will post this link for a crude
video of what I am thinking about ,picture is worth a thousand
words!

1. I hope the flap leading edge is under a shingle or when it
goes fast it may bow out.

(tsr~1.6)
or

(tsr~1.2)

I had problems with reliability hinges for flaps, Startup OK
but when rotational speed increases vibrations are high.
