Are some of the panels facing the other way?
It looks like two are facing noth, two south, two east, two
west.
They need to all face the same direction which is south, then
track the sun from east to west.
Or am i misinterpreting your drawing?
One panel two mirroes = more power , plus hot water.

All the panels are facing straight up towards the sun, the
platform is horizontal. Think of a small train going in circles!

no spoof I am very serious1 If I have 8 330 watt panels just
setting in the sun the most I can hope to get out is 2640 watts
at peak hours1 But if I use that power to rotate a platform and
take the power from the center shaft I can get TEN times MORE
power!

Like i said before, if they are all pointing straight up, what
good does rotation do?
They are all still not tracking the sun. The panels get max
solar radiation when they are perpendicular to the sun in both
axis.
If the merry go round just spins, then you gain nothing.
This is a spoof, right?
If not, draw a better picture. Sorry, maybe ive not slept
well.:-(

ethan; If you can double or even triple the output of your solar
panels, that would be good right? By spoof do you mean joke?
Then no I am not joking! I will draw a better picture. The
first picture I drew is a birds eye view. In other words you are
in the air looking down on it!

Oh. Now i get it.
You want to spin the carousel with electric power produced by
the solar panels and the spinning will drive an alternator to
make AC?
Thats got to be the largest invertor ive ever seen.:-)
As always , ideas like this fall down because according to the
first law of thermodynamics , you cant make more power than you
use.
The solar collectors have an efficeincy of less than 100% of
converting the energy, the motors are also are less than 100%
efficient,
It would be better if you just used a tracker to aim the panels,
with mirrors, and then used an invertor to make AC.

I really dont think I am trying to get a free lunch with this
device, I am simply using the power of the sun to turn a
mechanical levered arm to produce more power from the center
shaft. The math is very basic, even factoring in 33percent
mechanical losses, I should be able to double my input. There
are now available low speed (50 rpm) low torque Alternators
15KW and up. A 15KW alternator would require about 26 HP to run
at full load output.

The max power is at the output of the panels, after that its all
downhill.
