i used Loctite 5 min. epoxy work's great... @sut thanks for the
tip about gluing 1/4 rod in first it worked great.. just did the
math again an i settled on .70 thread length used my old machine
depth gauge an block of wood held screw in place..worked
great.oh my hammer has ridges to hold everything in
       place...where there's a will there is away!
       spars are done...!

i looked at overall dimof vawt with spars an .0125 wing tip , i
assume a lock washer an nylon lock nut spars are 48" over all
is 49" you have on page one 48 3/4?
.125 for airfoil wing tip aluminum/ wood
       .0625 lock washer?
       .375 lock nut
.0625 ss support strap... forgot to add strap thickness
       ----------------------------
.5625..leave yourself some room this number is shy... dose not
       include bracing number..
i would let threaded rod stick out of spar .625 or .75 if you
want to be safe better to have more thread than not enough..
       any comments..

Truthfully I don't know! what I did was put the wing tip on
,put nylon lock nut on and gave it a smidgen more then marked
all of them the same . (old school)
What I did for the total spar rod was assemble the wing to
rotor put 1 piece of poster board in between rotor and former
(just one side )then while assembled used hacksaw blade to cut
away excess spar rod material (on both ends next to wing former
) from bolt (used side cutters to remove excess spar rod
material from around bolt) it comes off pretty easy in small
pieces. That way I had just enough rod sticking up so when I
tightened bolts I had a small amount of clearance and wing tip
was fastened securely to spar bolt and rod .
