@ HGL that is interesting stuff but you would have to vacuum
form it to a wing mold because it is warm when you take it out
of the oven and it would sag in the middle of the wing formers

       Happy,
       Keep thinking and exploring.
       Everyone,
I just picked up the blades from SUT. Genius simplicity and
beautiful finish. Super easy to ship, form and assemble. If
they perform well, they will be tough to beat for price,
strength, look, finish, and durability. UV is a killer of many
       materials.
SUT thinks he will have the 175 together by the weekend.
Imagine the impact this endeavor could have if wind power could
       become affordable.
Thanks everyone for being a part of this.

Don't know the shaft diameter yet. There are a few things to
consider. A half HP machine should be fine with a 5/8"
diameter. I was thinking about making it 3/4" to over build but
costs go up too. I would rather lengthen the shaft a bit which
       will cost more.
Meeting with SUT today and going over the build I was shown a
few mistakes on the drawing of the rotor arm.
Here is the new drawing of the rotor. I will also replace the
       earlier pdf with this one.

Lynx you mentioned what you expected from the new alt and 40''
diameter(strong/moderate wind) , could you guesstimate new alt
on the original 75 turbine, or would it be a bad match?

       Team,
I am in CA visiting family. A lot of these questions you are
asking wont be answered until the new design is constructed and
tested. Currently the testing is being done by SUT and soon by
       Nessprojects and another in Germany.
The bracing hasn't been measured or located yet.
SUT will have a head start while I am out of town. The new alt
will not be available for testing until it is machined (late
       May).
Sut is testing on the Gull 160 alt.
       Otis
The Seagull 75 would be fine driving a bigger alt
