I agree with lynx on the serpentine stators,
only tried 1 serpentine coil and it turned out to be very
difficult to shape and fit in the allotted space, It ended up
getting unwound and made into separate coils...Much easier.

Here's the layout for the rotor arms and the steel disks. I am
working on getting bids for parts. It's time to start cutting
plywood and painting. These part dimensions wont change.
Target date for having all the components ready for testing is
late May. I still need to draw the blade tips and a template
for the 12 blade formers.
No idea on final price for the kit. Still waiting for a few
more prices.

Here is the blade former that will align with the holes in the
rotor arm and blade tips. Once aligned it can be screwed to the
rotor and tips. Then the spars slide through rotor and SUT
blades slide on, blade tip bolted.
SUT, can you cut one of these and verify the fit. If it's loose
or too tight, let me know. I always tell people to cut right
through the middle of the cut line, so that is our reference
point.

@ LW I just made one out of 5/8 I had to trim to fit tightly, so
if anything its just a little to big in length I don't have any
of your lines left at TE & LE But it is not bad I always make
them to big and then sand away to fit . I can also adjust my
measurements on blade when I cut them. But again its a sand a
little and try, sand a little then try. After I get 1 made that
fits nicely I use that as a guide for all the rest, glue
together 2 with spray glue to hold them together then I sand
them disk sander at 1 time .

@SUT
I will adjust the drawing a bit. I can imagine what you had to
do in order to get it inside the aluminum from your description.
What is the overall chord length when the former is inside?

Just to clarify. What is the overall Chord length of the
Aluminum when it's on the plywood former?

Perfect! I will trim the drawing slightly so it doesn't require
as much trimming.
