       Soln1 wiring diagram

At the request of a forum member here is the schematic for the
Soln1. This is designed for a 12 volt solar panel. A 12 volt
panel will put out 17-19 volts. The battery for this is a 14
volt so no charge controller is needed. My Soln1 has stayed in
the sun for 6 months now ready at anytime to provide emergency
       light and 110 power.

Thanks for granting my request. I was able to replicate this and
did get it working on a 220VAC 3w LED bulb(even without the
       ferrite snap-on choke).
14 turns primary, 100 turns secondary using #30 magnet wire.

Hopefully will get to finish my SOLn1 this week since I've got
       all the necessary parts:

Many thanks for sharing your design for free.
I am currently using your LJL as light inverter for my small 12V
       off grid solar setup.

Sorry I dont have a lumens meter. Current draw on a 5W LED bulb
       is around 0.53A.
I've done several of this LJL (thanks to Lynx) and proved very
efficient. However I am having difficulty finding a suitable
enclosure other than a square 5x5 inch. electrical box. It would
have been more convenient having this circuit inside an octagon
       junction box.
Thats why I have to ask if the coil could be wound in 3"
diameter? And how many turns would then be for the primary and
       secondary coil.
       Thanks

Try winding 100 turns secondary and 14 turns primary in the
smallest ferrite choke you want. I am now making these smaller
units and they work great. I am using 30 awg secondary and 22
awg primary. Try bumping up the gauge a bit if you are lighting
       more than 10-12 bulbs.
You can wind tightly around the split ferrite and then snap
closed for a very small package. The picture attached is of a
unit with dimensions of a wall plate.

Ill bet they have a App for a lumen meter for your smart phone

Your coils look a lot like "Steve Marks" coils...maybe he was
doin d same thing but with more ferrite cores & windings???
