Great Video's! you can tell that the rotor is bigger on the
windmill, than the diy 75 ( at least it seems to be )

The Gulls are as tall as they are wide. The Seagull is a bit
       taller than wide.

       howzit all,
I was on the forum a while back
then ran into some difficult medical issues
they've mitigated to the extent I can get back to getting my
       gulls going
the small Gull, the 40 has been spinning for several weeks now
it charges a Trojan 12volt battery
       that's
been charging my cell phone, tablet, wi-fi connection
       and
running 2 lights, occasional bursts of a small water pump
the bigger Gull is now up and spinning
       and
powering a small freezer converted to a refrigerator via an
       external thermostat
       that reduces electric consumption considerably
       and
       small appliances like blender
       before the medical setback
       the Gulls had just arrived
I has just started assembling them
then the medical issues took center stage
now, getting back into the Gulls
I was hesitant, not confident, especially about the electricity
and connections(electricity is Greek to me)
       but
with alotta handholding, encouragement, advise and instructions
       by Mr Gull
       they're up and producing
the Gull 160 is part of a 24volt system that will include four
270 watt solar panels and two 12volt gel batteries, charge
       controller and inverter
the solar panels aren't connected to the system yet
with the wind and sun here on leeward side of South Point on
       Hawaii Island(the Big Island)
       and
       my limited electric consumption
the combination of the PV and Lynx Gulls should, with rare
exceptions, provide more than enough power.
a neighbor using three 300 watt panels has been powering a
normal 120vAC refrigerator and lighting and small appliances
       saying
that only on the most overcast days has he needed to run his
       generator to refill the batteries
he's keeping an eye on the Gulls as potential to supplement his
PV as opposed to adding panels
thanks to Marcus for posting my videos
       but more importantly
thanks to Marcus for selling me the Gulls
       and
walking me thru getting them up and spinning
       and
       producing
       Lavaland
       Rob

Here is a video from Oliver in Germany. This is the Seagull 75
with fiberglass blades and the bracing as per the instructions.
In high winds he is seeing 25 volts.
       Nice Build Oliver!
