Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: So I did some munny grinding to get
myself a Blizzagun Band (cost 8000m) to better prep myself for
the Ice Titan fight. I learnt that staying on the ground rather
than the sides is better because it allows me to easily see the
icicles. It took several tries, but I finally managed to defeat
Ice Titan at Lv.74 and got the Diamond Dust keyblade.
After that, I bought some Ethers for myself and a few for Goofy
before going to Neverland to fight Phantom. That fight will
probably take a few tries but if I can defeat Ice Titan, then
I'm sure that I can take on the other superbosses.
Katawa Shoujo: After much internal thought over wherever I
should return to this game, I did. So far, class, then an
attempt to talk to Nomiya which doesn't pan out. Then a montage
before Rin shows up in Hisao's room. It's nice to see that Hisao
is able to stand up for himself, even if poor Rin had to be on
the receiving end of his anger. Hisao then eventually goes to
Rin's art exhibition, we get to see Emi again (which is always
nice) even if Nomiya doesn't remember her.
Rin becomes overwhelmed by everyone's questions and shuts down,
so Hisao escorts her out (which was good of him despite him
being frustrated with her in an earlier scene. Rin and Hisao
talk for a bit and I saved because there was a dialogue option
and I wanted to see both responses. After this, we see Nomiya
and Sae back at the exhibit.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: I tried a few more attempts at
Phantom but have yet to succeed. I'm starting to think I'll need
more than regular Elixirs for my team to keep up the momentum
against Phantom. I also travelled to Halloween Town, fought some
Heartless (and discovered Gargoyles drop Mega-Ethers. I returned
to the ruins of Oogie's mansion which I could thankfully access
without switching ISOs. I encountered a Chimera who have 2 HP
bars and hit hard. I did however get 2 Blazing Stones for my
troubles so there's that.
I then left Halloween Town and decided to try and defeat the
Grand Ghost in Monstro. No success. Defeating a Grand Ghost will
net me a Frost Stone and Black Ballades drop Lightning Stones.
Both are needed for synthesis. Also Fat Bandits drop Blaze Gems
so there's also that. Also more failed attempts at defeating
Phantom.
Katawa Shoujo: So Rin's route. Nomiya wants to find Rin, goes as
far as to interrupt a class by Motou during an exam and I
eventually find Rin. After a heart to heart, Rin is convinced by
Hisao to apologize to Nomiya for leaving the exhibit. She
doesn't get around to that because Nomiya just angrily rants at
her. After that, Hisao finally apologies to Rin for blowing up
at her a week earlier and another heart to heart. As it turns
out, I'm on route for the good ending. After this, I'll go back
to my other save file and get the Neutral ending before doing
another Rin playthrough to get a cutscene that I'm missing.
After that, it'll be the Lily route next.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: I ended up defeating Phantom after
several more attempts. As it turns out, arming everyone with
Ethers (and myself with Mega-Ethers) and casting Stopga on the
clock tower whenever Phantom uses it's dark energy ball attack
or after it's heart disappears is key to victory. For what it's
worth, Phantom is easier than Ice Titan despite being a fight
where I'm mostly forced to rely on magic against an opponent who
uses Doom to kill my party off gradually. Then again, Ice Titan
was mostly about deflection and constant dodging after it gets
low on HP.

Games Progress
Katawa Shoujo: I finished up Rin's good ending, which involved
the calming sounds of rain and Rin learning to be herself and
not what others expect of her. The idea that Rin is afraid of
Hisao's kindness is actually kind of interesting if not
depressing.
After getting the good ending, I opened up my other save file
and did the neutral ending. In contrast to the good ending, it's
actually rather sad. Hisao says some poignant things about
loneliness and human connection, and there's his interesting
perception of Rin's character. He and Rin end up going their
separate ways, with Rin advancing her art career at the cost of
her personal happiness. Then after that, I sped-run through Act
1 and got the bad ending while trying to remember which options
I picked to get Rin's route in the first place. I try again, get
Rin's route and after several attempts figuring out dialogue
choices, I manage to unlock of the cutscenes in Act 3 (BADAAN!)
which ensures that I've gotten all of Rin's scenes (aside from
the sex ones which are disabled).
Time to unlock Lily's route next!

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Defeated Kurt Ziza after 3 attempts.
It was a surprisingly easy fight probably because I was Lv.77
when I took them on. It's hardest attacks are the dark energy
orbs in it's Magic phase and it's spin attack during it's
Physical phase, the latter especially because Kurt Ziza casts
Silence to prevent magic usage during the Physical phase.
After beating Kurt Ziza, I unfortunately didn't obtain
Zantetsuken from defeating them, but I suppose in the grand
scheme of things, it probably doesn't matter anyway. I'll need
to prepare for the last two superbosses because they're the
hardest ones. Sephiroth is next, then it's off to fight Unknown.
Also while I'm here, I kinda want to see a boss rush mod taking
place in the Olympus Coliseum. The Arena (for main story bosses
and some optional bosses) and The True Arena (for all the
optional extra bosses).
The Arena: Tidus, Selphie and Wakka, Darkside, Leon, Guard
Armour, Crank Tower (+Card Soldiers), Trickmaster, Cloud,
Cerberus, Sabor, Clayton (+ Stealth Sneak), Opposite Armour, Pot
Centipede, Cave of Wonders Guardian, Jafar -> Genie Jafar,
Parasite Cage, AntiSora, Captain Hook, Lock, Shock and Barrel,
Oogie Boogie -> Oogie Manor, The Shark, Ursula (+Flotsam and
Jetsam), Giant Ursula, Riku, Maleficent --> Dragon Maleficent,
Ansem Riku, Behemoth, Chernabog and Ansem --> World of Chaos.
The True Arena: Leon and Cloud, Yuffie and Leon, Hercules, Sneak
Army x2, Red Armour, Destroyed Behemoth, Hades, Rock Titan,
Phantom, Kurt Ziza, Ice Titan, Sephiroth and Unknown.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Gained 2 levels in Traverse Town
because I was trying to get a Power Stone from defeating a
Sniperwild, so I'm now Lv.80. I travelled to Halloween Town to
try and obtain Mystery Goo from the Black Mushrooms but they
weren't there. I also had an opportunity to encounter several
Rare Truffles in the area before the Ruined Manor but I botched
the timing on those enemies and didn't succeed in bouncing them
in the air for very long.
I decided to go to Deep Jungle to encounter Black Ballades to
get a Thunder Stone. No luck. Went to Monstro and encountered a
Grand Ghost. It turns out that Elixirs can 1HKO so I ended up
getting 2 Frost Stones from it. I tried against Sephiroth a few
times. No success. I then decided to buy some Ethers for Sora
because he'll be the only one needing them for the fight against
the One Winged Angel.

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: So I travelled to Hollow Bastion and
Halloween Town to defeat Black Mushrooms but no Mystery Goo so
far. I went to Deep Jungle to fight Black Ballades and managed
to get a Thunder Stone (the trick is to watch which one jumps
then pause repeatedly while the real enemy moves into position
before attacking them). I managed to synthesise a Gaia Bangle so
there's that. Did a few attempts against Sephiroth using the
Lady Luck keyblade and got as far as the phase where he starts
using Heartless Angel only for the spell to take effect and me
getting wrecked right afterward. (I think I need more Elixirs
for this fight).

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Travelled to Alantica to fight some
Screwdrivers to obtain a few Thunder Gems, then travelled to
Deep Jungle and fought some Black Ballades to obtain a Thunder
Stone. I decided to travel to Hollow Bastion and Halloween Town
to hopefully get some Mystery Goo. No luck on getting the goo.
It wasn't a complete waste because I gained a level in the
Ruined Manor, so Sora is now Lv.85.
After travelling back to Traverse Town to buy a Firagun Band for
Sora (to reduce damage from Sephiroth's flame pillars), I went
back to Olympus Coliseum and did a few more attempts against
Sephiroth. I've made some major progress against him, because
I'm now good enough to get the One Winged Angel down to his last
HP bar but not good enough to finish the fight. His Heartless
Angel isn't too bad initially but once he uses it during his
final phase, I end up having trouble with it. He uses it and
then I get wrecked.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Getting a Power Stone was a pain in
the ass because I can't allow the Sniperwilds to see me. If they
do, I have to leave the room because they'll spawn infintely and
attack you with their slingshots. After many attempts, I managed
to get 2 Power Stones for my troubles and left to go do some
synthesis. I decided to create a Gaia Bangle. After that, I
travelled to Agrabah and defeated a Pot Scorpion. I only got a
Mythril Shard so I tried again and got a Mythril Stone.
I went to Hollow Bastion and Halloween Town to fight Black
Fungus but no luck on getting Mystery Goo. I went back to
Agrabah and after stumbling around, found the Bazaar area. It
had a Blue Trinity and guess what? At least 4 Black Fungus spawn
there! Sadly no Mystery Goo from them so I left to try again
against Sephiroth.
I lost so I went back to Traverse Town, bought some ethers and
decided to equip the Metal Chocobo. I fight Sephiroth and lose
but I realized I made a good choice because Metal Chocobo
allowed me to slice through Sephiroth's HP like a hot knife
through butter. I went back to Traverse Town again to buy more
Ethers then tried against Sephiroth.
It was a very close call but this time, I won. I got the One
Winged Angel keyblade which in terms of stats is a letdown but I
might find a use for it since I'm going to go and try for some
Mystery Goo so I can create Mythril.
Katawa Shoujo: Spedrun through Act 1 and got the Bad Ending. So
I tried again and managed to get myself on route to Lily's
route. I also kept a save file for the decision that puts you on
either Lily or Hanako's routes so I don't have to keep skipping
Act 1 cutscenes in order to get to their routes on a new
playthrough.

… boosting critical hit rate… might aid in Mystery from not fun
guys…?
… cheats like in re:coded… would be nice…
(… built-in cheats… on the stat board… some with side effects
like stronger enemies…)
