Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Level grinded a bit and due to me
picking the sword at the beginning of the game, I ended up
getting Second Chance at Lv:48. I swapped out Ripple Drive for
Second Chance, since I wasn't using the former anyway. This
turned out to be the right choice because it got me far enough
that I nearly defeated Ansem-Riku before I got too cocky and he
killed me. I tried again.
Aero soaks up the damage he deals and allows me to be more
aggressive, which is key to whittling down his HP. Cura is there
in case I run low on HP and I had several Ethers to recover MP
when I wasn't bashing Ansem-Riku with my Olympia keyblade. I
kicked his ass, and he proved to be far easier than Dragon
Maleficent due to him having less HP.
After this, I turn into a Heartless and have to make my way back
through Hollow Bastion. Thanks to Kairi, I'm reverted to my
normal form. Cutscene wise, I do think the Heartless should've
been the elite ones such as Invisibles and Angel Stars instead
of the regular Heartless mooks I spent all game destroying,
which would make Goofy and Donald's decision to run far more
justified.
Anyway, I travel back to Traverse Town, get a new Gummi Piece
and return to Hollow Bastion, backtracking all the way to Dark
Depths. I go in, fight a nice easy battle with a Behemoth (whose
grey and black colour scheme looks great) and backtrack to the
library to get the Divine Rose Keyblade from Belle. It's
actually superior to Oblivion and Oathkeeper in terms of Attack
Power. I then decide to do the final Gummi level to unlock the
final world before returning to Traverse Town.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Before I ventured to the end of the
world, I decided to get stronger by trying the Hades Cup. Before
that, I mistakenly checked the question marked option, met
Sephiroth who I was definitely not ready for and got 2HKO'd for
my mistake. I then decided to do the Hades Cup and did very well
until I got to Cerberus and lost.
I then traveled to the final world. It's the end of the world
and I know it, but I feel fine. My trip to the End of the World
starts off with opening every treasure chest (and occasionally
fighting off Heartless) before trying to find my way through a
snowy looking area with crystals. Then I have to walk into beams
of darkness and find doors in other worlds (yes, I made it a
point to leave Alantica at the first possible opportunity rather
than fight off the Heartless like in other worlds).
The World Terminus resembles 100 Acre Wood so its nice to know
that Winnie the Pooh has my back. :)
Anyway, I fight Chernabog who isn't really that tough aside from
the attack where he surrounds himself in flame, and that attack
alone has killed me a few times until I beat him. Otherwise I
spent most of the fight behind Chernabog while slashing at his
head repeatedly and as I've noticed his first 2 HP meters go
down real quick. This fight is what the Giant Ursula fight
should've been, in terms of controls at least.
After defeating Chernabog, I go down the volcano, move forward
and go into the Heartless Room. The Behemoth goes down easily,
and the Darkballs are annoying but managable. Try as I might
though, I repeatedly get merked by Invisibles despite having no
trouble with them earlier in the dungeon. Several attempts
later, I decide to cut my losses by backtracking all the way to
the World Terminus and saving my progress until next time.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: I decided to talk to Aerith 3 times
to obtain Curaga, returned to Neverland to open up a Yellow
Trinity and got Aerora (though I'll need to find the rest of the
puppies if I want Aeroga) and did some training at the Hades
Cup. Still lost to Cerebus. I then went back, took a few
attempts to defeat all the Heartless in the Heartless Room and
finally beat them. I went to the final save point, saved the
game and took on Ansem. So far I'm at Lv:56 (so I learn Vortex
upon gaining a level), and the first phase went down far too
easily, the Darkside was a cinch to take down with my endgame
power and Ansem II is where I'm currently stuck.
While I may be good enough to get Ansem II's HP low enough for
him to use his strongest attack, I haven't been able to defeat
him even after several attampts. The worst of his attacks isn't
his possession move (SUBMIT!) but the one where he dashes across
the room 5 times. At least the game allows me to skip the
cutscene before the Darkside rematch so there's that. Cerebus
may take a while to take down in the Hades Cup due to their HP
and how their attacks deal a ton damage now. I need to gain a
few levels and possibly upgrade some of my magic before trying
the final boss fight again.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: I backtracked across several worlds
to find the remaining puppies and got them all. The other
rewards weren't interesting but Aeroga was worth it. I then
tried the Hades Cup again and after some struggle (it turns out
Aeroga deflected Cerberus's fireballs hence why it lost two of
it's HP bars so quickly), I defeated Cerberus and got upgraded
thunder magic. then made some more progress but lost to Cloud
and Leon.
I then decided to try the final boss again. Ansem I was pretty
easy though his possession attack nearly put in danger of
losing. Darkside was easy. Ansem II ended up demolished because
Aeroga is that awesome. It even allowed me to stop his dash
attack dead in its tracks and I was lucky enough to avoid
getting possessed several times during the fight. I then made it
to the World of Chaos fight. First phase is the toughest and my
death allowed me to learn that it's pre-battle cutscenes can be
skipped and that I start from that fight rather than the
previous ones.
Anyway, World of Chaos's first phase is the worst of them. It's
lasers can kill quickly if you don't heal when the opportunity
strikes. Once I overcame Ansem, he decides to rest and I have to
take on the next phases. The Heartless interludes are easy and a
free opportunity to recover HP, and the other parts of the World
of Chaos aren't that threatening. The final phase can easily be
dealt with by hiding behind the World of Chaos and then striking
Ansem after their black hole attack finishes. I beat the final
boss and concluded my Proud Mode playthrough. Had to endure the
framerate dropping for the remaining cutscenes, the credits and
the secret ending. After reaching the Battle Results screen, I
tried pressing every button on my PS2 controller before
concluding that I needed to turn the game off. After doing so, I
decided to go the Olympus Coliseum since my next goal is to
complete the Hades Cup before I take on any of the superbosses.

Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: After managing to ward off my
dehydration headache, I decided it was high time to finish off
the Hades Cup. I took down Cloud and Leon, made my way to Hades
who took a few tries (his rotating flames is his hardest attack
to avoid) and eventually took down Rock Titan who was an
absolute joke. I decided to check out Ice Titan, got wrecked and
decided to visit the other superbosses and got wrecked. After
finishing off 100 Acre Woods and getting an EXP Ring, I then
decided to return to Olympus Coliseum and do the previous
tournaments alone without allies. I just need to finish off the
Hades Cup alone then go do some level grinding before I can take
on any of the superbosses. Also item synthesis so I can obtain
the Ultima Keyblade.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Hades Cup. Solo. Defeated Leon and
Cloud, then went through the next rounds and extinguished Hade's
flame. I'm now at the last bit, so I only have to start from
Round 10 now. The last few fights are the hardest when fighting
alone, and unsurprisingly, I've had the most trouble with the
Final Battalion. Once I take them down, I'll be chiseling my way
to victory by defeating Rock Titan. As it turns out, I managed
to learn Leaf Bracer at Lv.69 because I picked the sword at the
beginning of the game, but hey, better late than never.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: Completed the Hades Cup solo and got
Donald's best weapon. Though the Meteor Strike found in the
final dungeon is stronger in terms of strength, Save the Queen
is better in the sense that it adds more MP to Donald's total.
Also did the Phil Cup time trial and tried the Pegasus one but
failed at the last hurdle. I might consider doing the time
trials to get Save the King, get some synthesis materials or try
my hand at some of the superbosses.

Games Progress
Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix: So after finding a Shiva Band in
Olympus Coliseum and equipping it and a Blizzaga Band to Sora, I
decided to fight Ice Titan. All of my attempts were failures but
I was at least good enough to get them down to their last few HP
bars.
