I'm starting to think that the premise of Dragon Ball DAIMA is a
response to the backlash against everyone getting new forms all
the time (especially Goku).

Ah yes, Frieza get resurrected, turned golden, died and was
resurrected to work with Goku during the Tournament of Power,
then a lot of things and he turned into Black Frieza at some
point. If a Kid Frieza does show up, he'll probably be an
antagonist again.
