General Retcons Thread

Valkyrie was born in 1981, but, three problems:
- She married Evan in 1993.
- When they first met, her Taint had already fully matured.
- Ilina was born in 1994.
So how should Kim retcon this, d'you guys think?

So it goes like this: Valkyrie is born in 1981 and she'd be 13
in 1993 and if Ilina was born in 1994, she'd be 14 if she gave
birth to Ilina. You could go three ways about this:
1) You could keep it as is while adding that Valkyrie regretting
giving birth to a child at such a young age and that doing so
was irresponsible.
2) Make it so that Ilina simply misremembered her own birth due
to being stuck in that brainwashing machine (itself a result of
a retcon) for 2 years.
3) Retcon nothing because according to the LSP wiki you created,
Ilina was born in 1996 (which means Valkyrie would be 16 if she
give birth to Ilina, which is still a bad idea) which solves
your problem anyway.

I think, looking back over some old posts, that Shinova Armweak
has a similar problem, but he's a way less important character.
You could do something wacky like make Newerthian valkyries age
at twice the rate of normal humans, but then you'd need to
change around a lot of other things too probably.

Ilina is a tricky story!
At the time, children conceived out of wedlock were apparently
illegal, and Ilina was conceived before her parents got married,
so she was given up for adoption when she was born.
Her first adoptive parents... were going to name her "Toresh",
the Newerthan word for "trash", and they mistreated Ilina.

Ilina was taken away by Timéa, the Goddess of Time, and taken to
1996, given to Reniat and Sefirotto (he was then the fourth
Tirahnysan president). Her birth certificate was forged, as a
result.
Kim says Ilina never knew this, or her real birthdate.
Hershel Triton, her first adoptive dad, died in 1997, killed by
Wendy, his ex-wife, who became a writer after a 5-year jail
sentence (self-defense).
Wendy seeks to atone for how she treated Ilina...

As for Shinova Armweak-Flamberge, this half-elf was adopted by
Alexis Flamberge and her husband Eron Alexis Armweak (Eron Araia
Armweak's brother).
This is after LS, though. And the two Alexises (Alexii?) married
after LS, too.
Kim's made a lot of changes, apparently... that Taint book in
Servant Quarters RR? Its author was lied to by an Erinys.

Not pictured: Valkyrie Horton and Evan O'Neill, along with their
17 daughters (as of 2023), fighting the retcons.
And Repose Horton, Ataraxis (or Saoirse Shyrmtyn), and
Tranquility joining them.
Shiori Shauntal is also a Valkyrie, Kim says - a reincarnation
of the Valkyrie, Natascha.
That Reincarnation Taint is messy.
