Oh no, a game that actually raises the standard of what people
expect from video games. It's almost as if several years of
shitty, shady and downright corrupt practices (e.g "DLC" that is
just content severed from the base game and hidden behind a
paywall, Day 1 DLC and patches, free-to-play games, lootboxes
and gacha etc) have completely desensitized gamers and have
caused them to forget that video game actually used to be a
complete, finished experience a decade ago.

… rush jobs… always terrible… unless terrible is intention…
… corporate greed… oftentimes a part of it…
…
We need to get rid of the corporate monkeys that harbour such
voracious greed.

No company would intentionally set out to make a terrible game,
but unfortunately some games do turn out badly due to their
developers being overworked and underpaid, crunch time being
enforced in order to meet release dates and other problems that
exist because AAA games cost money to develop and market, and if
those games don't make enough money, then it's ensured that the
game will be shelved due to lack of demand (real or perceived).
Of course CEOs only want money now and they want it fast. So
they'd rather force developers to work long hours with little or
no pay, add in features such as gacha, free-to-play, on disc DLC
etc to make more short term profits off the game and to have the
game done by a deadline, regardless if that deadline can be
realistically achieved or not.
Then when the game doesn't make enough profit, the CEOs would
rather blame employees than accept that the game flopped due to
their unrealistic demands and poor working conditions, ensuring
that the developers wouldn't have time to iron out potentially
debilitating bugs or force them to add in Day 1 patches or
create updates to add features that should've been in the base
game.
And at least developers today can improve their base game
instead of either accepting that the game is done and they can't
go back and fix it or have to devote more time to create an
updated version of their game which could happen months or years
after the initial release.

Key word being "no company".
I mean.
It's completely possible a fan or someone with too much free
time on their hands (*cough*Cibryll*cough*) to want to
deliberately make something terrible.
Especially for April Fool's Day. >:3
And even more fun if it's actually NOT terrible and only
advertised as such to mess around~

Some people make deliberately crappy media because it's funnier
that way or because it's a parody of the original work. That and
I'm sure that any company making intentionally bad products
would probably be some elaborate money laundering scam or a
group of con artists.

Oh, it's fucking Denuvo. Modding communities aren't too fond of
it, such as the Sonic Mania modders just to name one example.

It's not the first time companies have tried to punish people
for piracy (e.g the constant firmware updates for the Nintendo
3DS to stop 3DS hackers), and it's likely that Switch hackers
will end up cracking Denuvo, causing Nintendo to roll out
updates to the Nintendo Switch to counter them.
