Circle of the Moon.
Also, Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima IV, also known as
Adventure Island IV, for the NES.

Oh, that game? I didn't even know the fourth area was called the
Crystal Area. :o
I have the Japanese one since around 2000 or 2001 though the NES
itself no longer works. I always called it "Japanese Mario"
(though I never knew that the Super Mario franchise originated
in Japan until after early 2011).

YES!! You made my day.
Do I need to repeat how much I'm hyped for the mod. :D

Kim - wow, Vampire Killer from Circle of the Moon? Now I wonder
how that sounds like, though most likely it'd be amazing.
As well as a song from a (possibly-obscure) video game for the
NES that I think sounds awesome. ;D
Shane - yeah, Bloody Tears, Beginning and Vampire Killer have
various versions.
Personally, my favorite of them would be Dracula X's version of
Bloody Tears, Dawn of Sorrow's version of Beginning and Harmony
of Dissonance's rendition Vampire Killer.
And various other Castlevania songs like Aria of Sorrow's Heart
of Fire and Order of Ecclesia's An Empty Tome and most of the
boss themes. ^^

Perhaps Bloody Tears could work for the Top Floor? I'll think
about it; I'll have to listen to the Dracula X version. (And
probably get sidetracked by several other songs, as usual~)
Anyway, the first post has been updated with a few more songs.
:)

Cool~
Now, if only it was possible to use ".pmd" files as well.
(Unless it already is. Some of those songs sound awesome :) )
EDIT: second page again.
What is it with me and getting a new page? D:

There's a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon file format? :o

... what.
Definitely not, at least, not that I can think of.
Music Player page of that Cave Story site, "PiyoPiyoPlayer".
Plays ".pmd" files.
Though most of those files have weird file names like
"éóé¬é+éßé±" or "âèâ]ü[âgâëâoü[" or "ëJ" or "ù÷âNâY".
Possibly the result of Japanese symbols getting translated into
gibberish or something.
I don't even want to know how people pronounce those odd names.
:o

You know, perhaps a few more songs ought to help, even if
they're Music Room-exclusive (i.e. not used in the mod areas).

I'm considering making a remake of my ex's The Power of Heart,
as well as including the original.
(It would be the main theme of the "Kim" character in his own CS
mods.)
Still trying to find the original though; I actually like that
song a lot.
